    							10. STORAGE 
    For storage of more than 2 months (continued): 
    d. Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel valve, and drain the fuel tank into an 
    approved gasoline container. 
    B Gasoline is extremely flammable, and gasoline vapor can 
    explode, causing serious injury or de&h. Use extreme care when handling 
    gasoline. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. 
    e Remove the carburetor drain bolt, using a 10 mm wrench. Drain the carburetor 
    into an approved gasoline container. Tilt the mower to drain all the gasoline 
    from the carburetor. 
    f. Install the carburetor drain bolt, and tighten it securely. Connect the fuel line 
    Turn the fuel valve OFF.

    Storage 
    Select a storage area away from appliances (water heater or clothes dryer) that 
    use an open flame as a heat source. Power tools, and some battery operated 
    toys, have electric motors that produce sparks that can ignite gasoline vapors. 
    B Gasoline is extremely flammable, and gasoline vapor can explode. 
    Avoid storing the mower where it will be exposed to high humidity and dust. 
    Place the mower with its wheels on a level surface Tilting the mower may result 
    in fuel leakage.

    							10. STORAGE 
    The handlebar can be folded for 
    compact storage.

    2. Remove the grass bag, and place it 
    on top of the engine, with the bag 
    opening at the front of the mower. 
    Loosen the handlebar locking knobs, 
    spread the lower ends of the 
    handlebar, and fold the handlebar as 
    shown. When folding, be careful to (l -‘i )

    ENGINE WILL 
    NOT START 
    1. HR215SMA electric 
    starting: Check 
    battery and fuse. 
    2. Check control 
    positions. 
    3. Check fuel. 
    POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTION 
    Batten/ discharged. Recharge battery fp. 56). 
    Fuse burnt out. Replace fuse fp. 61) 
    Fuel valve OFF. Turn fuel valve ON fp. 27). 
    Throttle lever in wrong Move throttle lever to CHOKE position, 
    position. unless the engine is warm fp. 27). 
    HR215SMA only: engine Engine switch must be ON to use

    HR215SMA FUSE REPLACEMENT 
    Clean, gap, or replace spark plug 
    (p. 44. 
    Dry spark plug and clear flooded

    Take mower to dealer, or refer to 
    shop manual. 
    LOWER 
    The electric starter relay circuit and battery 
    charging circuit are protected by a 1 amp 
    fuse. If the fuse burns out, the electric 
    starter will not operate. The engine can be 
    started manually if the fuse burns out, but 
    running the engine will not charge the 
    battery.

    Using a replacement 
    fuse with a rating greater than 1 amp may 
    result in daniage to the electrical system. 
    Use a 1 amp replacement fuse only. If 
    frequent fuse failure occurs, take the 
    mower to an authorized Honda lawn 
    mower dealer for repair. 
    1. Remove the two bolts from the lower 
    control box cover, using a 10 mm 
    wrench. 
    2. Remove the lower control box cover, 
    and check the fuse. If it is burnt out, 
    install the spare 1 amp fuse provided 
    with the mower.

    Cutter deck clogged. Clean out the cutter deck (p. 35).

    3. Check fuel.

    bent crankshaft. Take mower to dealer, or refer to 
    shop manual.
