4.  Bringen Sie den Stopphebel (3:P) in die eingeschaltete 
Stellung.
5. Drücken Sie den Primer (3:O) wie folgt:
Über 10°C: Nicht drücken.
Zwischen -10 und +10°C: zweimal drücken.
Unter -10°C: Viermal drücken.
Lösen Sie den Finger nach jedem Drücken vom Primer.
6. Ziehen Sie bei manuellem Start schnell am Griff des 
Startseils. Lassen Sie den Griff des Startseils nicht zu-
rückschlagen. Lassen Sie ihn stattdessen langsam zu-
rückgleiten.
7. Wenn der Motor gleichmäßig läuft, stellen Sie den Choke 
zurück.
HINWEIS: Lassen Sie den Motor bei Temperaturen unter -
15°C einige Minuten im Leerlauf warmlaufen, bevor Sie mit 
der Arbeit beginnen.
WARNUNG: Lassen Sie den Motor nie in Gebäu-
den oder geschlossenen Räumen mit schlechter 
Belüftung laufen. Die Abgase enthalten Kohlen-
monoxid, ein geruchloses und tödliches Gas. Hal-
ten Sie Körperteile und Kleidungstücke von 
beweglichen Teilen fern. Der Schalldämpfer wird 
sehr heiß, es besteht Verbrennungsgefahr!
5.4.2 Warmen Motor starten
Der Start des warmen Motors erfolgt wie beim kalten Motor, 
jedoch mit folgenden Unterschieden:
• Der Choke (3:N) wird nicht benutzt.
• Der Primer (3:O) wird nicht benutzt.
5.5 STOPP
Bevor Sie den Motor ausschalten, lassen Sie ihn einige Mi-
nuten im Leerlauf laufen, damit der Schnee schmilzt.
Halten Sie den Motor an, indem Sie den Stopphebel (3:P) in 
die ausgeschaltete Stellung bringen.
5.6 INBETRIEBNAHME
Richten Sie den Schneeauswurf niemals auf Um-
stehende.
Stoppen Sie stets den Motor, bevor Sie eine Reini-
gung ausführen.
Tragen Sie beim Schneefräsen grundsätzlich ei-
nen Augenschutz. 
1. Starten Sie den Motor wie oben beschrieben.
2. Stellen Sie den Ablenker (2:J) ein. Nach oben wird eine 
größere Auswurfweite und nach unten einer geringere 
Auswurfweite erzielt.
3. Stellen Sie den Auswurf mit der Kurbel (2:C) so ein, dass 
der Schnee in Windrichtung ausgeworfen wird.
4. Starten Sie Schneeschraube und Antrieb durch Aktivie-
rung des Antriebshandgriffs (2:D).
5. Wenn Sie den Antriebshandgriff (2:D) 
loslassen, stoppt die Maschine.
6. Ein eventuelle Reinigung ist mit einem Holzstab o.ä. aus-
zuführen, nachdem der Motor angehalten wurde.
Der Schneefräsenantrieb startet, wenn die Schneeschraube 
den Boden berührt. Um den Antrieb zu erleichtern, erhöhen 
Sie leicht den Führungsholm. Vermeiden Sie nach Möglich-
keit, die Schneefräse zu schieben.
Achtung! Wenn sich die Schneeschraube dreht, obwohl der 
Antriebshandgriff (2:D) losgelassen wurde, muss der Seilzug 
justiert werden. Siehe ”Wartung”.Achtung! Wenn sich die Schneeschraube nicht dreht, obwohl 
der Antriebshandgriff (2:D) aktiviert ist, muss der Seilzug ju-
stiert werden. Siehe ”Wartung”.
5.7 TIPPS
1. Der Schnee ist direkt nach dem Schneefall zu räumen.
2. Für vollständiges Schneeräumen sollten sich die Frässpu-
ren leicht überlagern.
3. Richten Sie den Schneeauswurf nach Möglichkeit ent-
sprechend der Windrichtung aus.
4. Lassen Sie bei starkem Wind den Ablenker herunter, um 
den ausgeworfenen Schnee näher am Boden zu halten, 
damit er nicht in unerwünschte Richtungen geweht wird.
5. Stellen Sie aus Sicherheitsgründen und um Schäden an 
der Schneefräse zu vermeiden sicher, dass sich im zu räu-
menden Bereich keine Steine, Spielsachen und andere 
Fremdkörper befinden.
6. Die Schneefräsenkapazität hängt von Schneehöhe und -
dichte ab. Prägen Sie sich ein, wie die Schneefräse bei 
unterschiedlichen Schneeverhältnissen arbeitet.
5.7.1 Trockener und normaler Schnee
Schnee bis zu einer Höhe von 20 cm kann bei gleichmäßiger 
Geschwindigkeit leicht und schnell entfernt werden. Um hö-
heren Schnee oder Schneeverwehungen zu räumen, reduzie-
ren Sie die Geschwindigkeit und lassen Sie die Maschine 
nach ihrem eigenen Takt arbeiten.
Richten Sie den Auswurf entsprechend der Windrichtung 
aus.
5.7.2 Gebundener Nassschnee
Fahren Sie langsam vorwärts. Verwenden Sie nach Möglich-
keit nicht die Schabkante, um vorhandene Schnee- und Eis-
schichten durch Hacken zu entfernen. Andernfalls kommt es 
zu Ermüdungsbrüchen im Räumschild.
5.8 NACH DEM EINSATZ
1. Lassen Sie den Motor nach jedem Schneefräsen einige 
Minuten laufen, damit Schnee und Eis auf der Maschine 
schmelzen.
2. Kontrollieren Sie die Schneefräse auf lose oder beschä-
digte Komponenten. Reparieren oder tauschen Sie Kom-
ponenten bei Bedarf aus.
3. Ziehen Sie lose Schraubverbindungen wieder fest an.
4. Schließen Sie den Choke.
5. Entfernen Sie das Kabel von der Zündkerze.
6. Reinigen Sie die Schneefräse nach jedem Gebrauch. Spü-
len Sie die Maschine mit Wasser ab, um Salz und andere 
Chemikalien zu entfernen. Reiben Sie die Schneefräse 
trocken.

6 WARTUNG
Vor Wartungsarbeiten ist stets das Zündkabel von 
der Zündkerze zu entfernen.
6.1 ÖLWECHSEL
Wechseln Sie das Öl zum ersten Mal nach 2 Betriebsstunden, 
dann alle 25 Betriebsstunden oder mindestens einmal pro 
Saison. Nehmen Sie den Ölwechsel vor, solange der Motor 
warm ist.
Direkt nach dem Ausschalten ist das Motoröl sehr 
heiß. Lassen sie den Motor etwas abkühlen, bevor 
Sie das Öl wechseln. Es besteht Verbrennungsge-
fahr.
1.  Entfernen Sie den Verschluss des Öleinfüllstutzens mit 
dem Messstab. 
Siehe Abb. 4.
2. Stellen Sie ein Gefäß auf den Boden, in das das Öl fließen 
kann.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Ölablassschraube fest 
angezogen ist. Wenn sie sich während des Betriebs 
löst, wird der Motor zerstört.
3. Stellen Sie die Schneefräse auf und füllen Sie neues Öl 
ein. Siehe “Vor dem Start”. 
6.2 ZÜNDKERZE
Vor Entfernen der Zündkerze ist der Bereich um die Zünd-
kerze zu reinigen.
Wechseln Sie die Zündkerze einmal pro Jahr oder alle 100 
Betriebsstunden.
Zündkerze: Champion RV 19 LM oder gleichwertig.
Anzugsdrehmoment: 24-27 Nm.
Elektrodenabstand: 0,7-0,8 mm. 
6.3 VERGASER
Der Vergaser ist ab Werk korrekt eingestellt. Wenn eine Ju-
stierung erforderlich ist, wenden Sie sich an eine autorisierte 
Servicewerkstatt. 
7 SCHMIERUNG
Vor Wartungsarbeiten ist stets das Zündkabel von 
der Zündkerze zu entfernen.
Schmieren Sie das Getriebe der Einstellkurbel und den Aus-
wurf, bevor die Schneefräse für die Sommersaison abgestellt 
wird. Verwenden Sie hierfür ein Haftfett, z.B. Lubriplate.
8 SERVICE UND REPARATUREN
8.1 SEILZUGJUSTIERUNG 
Der Seilzug des Antriebshandgriffs ist im Werk korrekt ein-
gestellt worden. Eine eventuelle Einstellung wird gemäß fol-
gender Anleitung vorgenommen.
1.  Lösen Sie die Schraube (8:D) und führen Sie die Feder 
(8:E) nach hinten, sodass der Seilzug gespannt wird.
2.  Ziehen Sie die Schraube (8:D) in der gewünschten Posi-
tion fest. 
8.2 KEILRIEMENWECHSEL 
So wechseln Sie den Keilriemen:
1.  Nehmen Sie die linke Riemenabdeckung durch Lösen der 
sieben Schrauben (9:F) ab.
2. Lösen Sie die zwei Riemenscheiben (10:G).
3. Lösen Sie die Riemenführung (11:H) an der Unterseite.
4. Nehmen Sie den alten Riemen ab und montieren Sie den 
neuen auf dieselbe Art und Weise.
5. Gehen Sie bei der Montage der übrigen Komponenten in 
umgekehrter Reihenfolge vor.
8.3 FRÄSSCHNECKEN- UND LAGERWECHSEL 
1.  Nehmen Sie die linke Riemenabdeckung durch Lösen der 
sieben Schrauben (9:F) ab.
2. Ziehen Sie den Riemen von der Riemenscheibe der Fräs-
schnecke (12:J) ab.
3. Blockieren Sie die Frässchnecke mit einem Holzstab o.ä. 
und lösen Sie die Riemenscheibe mit einem 26-mm-
Steckschlüssel. Beachten Sie, dass die Riemenscheibe 
über ein Linksgewinde verfügt.
4. Lösen Sie die Schrauben (13:K) auf der linken Räum-
schildseite.
5. Nehmen Sie die linke Abdeckung durch Lösen der sechs 
Schrauben (14:N) ab.
6. Demontieren Sie das Auswurfrohr (14:L) durch Lösen 
der zwei Schrauben (14:M).
7. Heben Sie die Schneckenschraube (15:Q) heraus.
7. Lösen Sie die Mittelschrauben (14:P) des Räumschilds.
8. Entfernen Sie das Lager auf der linken Frässchneckensei-
te mithilfe eines Abziehers. Siehe Abb. 16.
9. Entnehmen Sie die Frässchnecke.
10. Ersetzen Sie defekte Komponenten und führen Sie die 
Montage in umgekehrter Reihenfolge aus. Achtung! Ver-
sehen Sie alle Kunststoffkomponenten mit einer Scheibe 
oder einer Flanschmutter.
Achtung! Ziehen Sie die Schraubverbindungen nicht zu 
fest an. Andernfalls können die Kunststoffkomponenten 
beschädigt werden.

9 AUFBEWAHRUNG
Bewahren Sie die Schneefräse niemals mit Kraft-
stoff im Tank in einem geschlossenen Raum mit 
schlechter Belüftung auf. Es können sich Benzin-
gase mit hoher Brandgefahr bilden.
Wenn die Schneefräse länger als 30 Tage aufbewahrt werden 
soll, sind folgende Maßnahmen zu ergreifen:
1.  Leeren Sie den Benzintank.
2.  Starten Sie den Motor und lassen Sie ihn laufen, bis er 
aufgrund von Benzinmangel stehenbleibt.
Leeren Sie den Benzintank im Freien, wenn der 
Motor kalt ist. Es besteht Rauchverbot! Leeren Sie 
das Benzin in einen geeigneten Behälter.
4.  Wechseln Sie das Motoröl, wenn dies nicht in den letzten 
drei Monaten erfolgt ist.
5.  Drehen Sie die Zündkerze heraus und geben Sie etwas 
Motoröl in die Öffnung (ca. 30 ml). Drehen Sie Motor 
mehrmals. Drehen Sie die Zündkerze wieder ein.
6.  Die gesamte Schneefräse ist gründlich zu reinigen.
7.  Schmierhinweise entnehmen Sie dem Abschnitt 
”Schmierung”.
8.  Die Schneefräse ist auf Beschädigungen zu untersuchen. 
Bei Bedarf sind Schäden zu reparieren.
9.  Eventuelle Lackschäden sind auszubessern.
10. Unlackierte Metallflächen sind mit Rostschutzmittel zu 
behandeln.
11. Bewahren Sie die Schneefräse nach Möglichkeit im In-
nenbereich auf. 
10 VERKAUFSBEDINGUNGEN
Es wird eine umfassende Garantie auf Material- und Fabrika-
tionsfehler eingeräumt. Käufer und Anwender müssen die 
Hinweise in der beigefügten Bedienungsanleitung genau be-
achten.
Für Batterien: sechs Monate ab Kaufdatum.
Die Garantie deckt keine Schäden ab bei:
- Nichtbeachtung der mitgelieferten Bedienungsanleitung.
- Unachtsamkeit.
- falscher oder unzulässiger Nutzung oder Montage.
- Anwendung von Ersatzteilen, die keine Originalersatztei-
le sind.
- Anwendung von Zubehör, das nicht von GGP stammt 
oder von GGP zugelassen ist.
Die Garantie erstreckt sich ebenfalls nicht auf:
- Verschleißteile wie z.B. Antriebsriemen, Frässchnecken, 
Scheinwerfer, Räder, Sicherheitsbolzen und Seilzüge.
- normalen Verschleiß.
- Motoren. Für diese gelten die Garantiebedingungen der 
jeweiligen Hersteller.
Es gelten die im Land des Käufers gültigen gesetzlichen Vor-
schriften. Die darin geregelten Rechte des Käufers werden 
durch diese Garantie nicht eingeschränkt.

2 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 GENERAL
• Please read through these instructions carefully. Learn all 
the controls and the correct use of the machine.
• Never allow children or anyone who is not familiar with 
these instructions to use the snow thrower. Local 
regulations may impose restrictions as regards the age of 
the driver.
• Never use the machine if others, particularly children or 
animals, are in the vicinity. 
• Remember that the driver is responsible for accidents that 
happen to other people or their property.
• Be careful not to trip or fall, especially when reversing 
the machine.
• Never use the snow thrower under the influence of 
alcohol or medication and if you are tired or ill.
2.2 PREPARATIONS
• Check the area to be cleared and remove any loose or 
foreign objects.
• Disengage all controls before starting the engine.
• Never use the snow thrower unless properly dressed. 
Wear footwear that improves your grip on a slippery 
surface.• Warning – Petrol is highly inflammable. 
a. Always store petrol in containers that are made 
especially for this purpose.
b. Only fill or top up with petrol outdoors, and never 
smoke when filling or topping up.
c. Fill with petrol before starting the engine. Never 
remove the filler cap or fill with petrol while the engine 
is running or still warm.
d. Screw the filler cap on tightly and wipe up any spilt 
petrol.
• Adjust the height of the auger housing to ensure it stays 
above gravel paths.
• Never, under any circumstances, make adjustments while 
the engine is running (unless otherwise specified in the 
instructions).
• Allow the snow thrower to adjust to the outdoor 
temperature before using it.
• Always use protective goggles or a visor during use, 
maintenance and service. 
2.3 OPERATION
• Keep hands and feet away from rotating parts. Always 
avoid the discharge chute opening.
• Be careful when driving on or crossing gravel paths, 
pavements and roads. Be aware of hidden dangers and 
traffic.
• Never direct the discharge chute towards a public road or 
traffic.
• If the snow thrower hits a foreign object, stop the engine, 
disconnect the spark plug cable and carefully inspect the 
machine for damage. Repair the damage before using the 
machine again.
• If the machine starts vibrating abnormally, stop the 
engine and look for the cause. Vibration is normally a 
sign of something wrong.
• Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug cable: 
a. If the machine steers away from the driving position. 
b. If the auger housing or discharge chute is blocked and 
must be cleaned. 
c. Before beginning repairs or adjustments.
• Always make sure the rotating parts have stopped and all 
the controls are disengaged before cleaning, repairing or 
inspection.
• Before leaving the machine unattended, disengage all the 
controls, put it into neutral gear, stop the engine and 
remove the ignition key. 
• Never run the engine indoors except when taking it in and 
out of its place of storage. In this case ensure the door to 
the storage place is open. Exhaust fumes are toxic. 
• Never drive across a slope. Move from the top down, and 
from the bottom to the top. Be careful when changing 
direction on a slope. Avoid steep slopes.
• Never operate the machine with insufficient protection or 
without the safety devices in place.
• Existing safety devices must not be disconnected or 
disengaged.
• Do not alter the engine’s regulator setting and do not race 
the engine. The possibility of personal injury increases 
when the engine is run at high revs.
• Never use the snow thrower near enclosures, cars, 
windowpanes, slopes etc. without properly setting the 
discharge chute deflector. 
• Always keep children away from areas to be cleared. Get 
another adult to keep the children under supervision.

• Do not overload the machine by driving it too fast.
• Take care when reversing. Look behind you before and 
during reversing to check for any obstacles.
• Never point the discharge chute towards bystanders. Do 
not allow anyone to stand in front of the machine. 
• Disengage the auger when the snow thrower is to be 
transported or is not in use Do not drive too fast on 
slippery surfaces when transporting.
• Only use accessories that are approved by the machine’s 
manufacturer.
• Never drive the snow thrower in bad visibility or without 
satisfactory lighting.
• Always ensure you have a good balance and a tight grip 
on the handle. 
• Never use the snow thrower on a roof.
• Do not touch engine components because they are warm 
during use. Risk of burn injuries.
2.4 MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• Tighten all nuts and screws so that the machine is in safe 
working condition. Check the shear bolts regularly.
• Always use genuine spare parts. Non-genuine spare parts 
can entail a risk of injury, even if they fit the machine.
• Never store the machine with petrol in the tank in 
buildings where the fumes can come into contact with 
open flames or sparks.
• Allow the engine to cool before putting the machine in 
store.
• Before a long storage, check the instructions for 
recommendations.
• Replace damaged warning and instruction stickers.
• Let the engine run a couple of minutes with the auger 
connected after use. This prevents the auger from 
freezing solid.
3 ASSEMBLY
Note: References to left and right sides are based on the 
driver’s position behind the snow thrower.
WARNING: The spark plug cable must always be 
disconnected be carrying out assembly or 
maintenance work.
3.1 Unpacking
1.  Locate and unpack all parts that are packed separately in 
the carton.
2. Remove the packaging around the snow thrower.
3.  Cut down all four corners of the carton and lay the side 
panels flat.
4.  Grasp the lower handle and pull the snow thrower off the 
carton.
5. Remove the packaging around the handles.
3.2 Handle
1.  Remove the packaging from the upper and lower 
handles.
2. Loosen the knobs (2:B) on each side of the handle (2:E).
3. Raise the upper handle  to the operating position. Hold 
the upper handle apart to prevent scratching the lower 
handle.
Attention! Make sure that the cables are not trapped between 
the upper and lower handles.
4. Tighten the knobs (2:B).3.3 Discharge chute (2:H)
Install the discharge chute (2:H) as follows:
1. Position the chute above the opening.
2. Install the screws and nuts.
3. Tighten all three screw joints on the discharge chute.
3.4 Adjustment lever (2:C)
Rotate the adjustment lever between its end positions. Check 
that the discharge chute (2:H) rotates freely.
4 CONTROLS
See fig. 1-5.
Adjustment lever (2:C)– Changes the direction of the 
discharge chute.
Deflector (2:J) – Determines the distance the snow is 
thrown.
Discharge chute (2:H) – Determines the direction the snow 
is thrown.
Auger drive lever (2:D) – Starts and stops the auger/
impeller which propels the snow thrower.
Stop control (3:P) – Must be switched to the ON position to 
start the engine.
Primer (3:O) – Injects fuel directly into the carburettor for 
starting in cold weather.
Starting handle (2:Q) – Used to start the engine manually.
Choke (3:N) – Used when starting a cold engine.
Refuelling (2:A) – Remove to fill with fuel.
Oil filling (1:F) – Remove to top up with oil.
Oil drainage (1:S) – Remove to access the dipstick.
Dipstick (fig. 1)– Remove to read the oil level and top up 
with oil in the engine’s crankcase.
5 USING THE MACHINE
5.1 General
Never start the engine until all the above measures under 
‘ASSEMBLY’ have been carried out. 
Never use the snow thrower without first reading 
and understanding the enclosed instructions and 
all the warning and instruction stickers on the 
snow thrower. 
Always wear protective goggles or a visor during 
use, maintenance and service.
5.2 Before starting
Some snow throwers are delivered without oil in the engine’s 
crankcase. Oil is supplied in a separate bottle for these.
Fill the engine with oil before using.
Do not start the engine until filled with oil. The 
engine can be seriously damaged without oil.
1.  Place the machine on a level floor.
2.  Undo the oil filler cap and pull up the dipstick. Read off 
the oil level from the dipstick. Fill up the oil up to the 
“FULL” mark. See fig. 1.
3.  Use oil according to the table below:
Use Oil Grade
Above -18° C SAE 5W-30 At least SH
Under -18° C SAE 0W-30 At least SH

Do not use SAE 10W40.
4.  Always check the oil level in the engine before use. The 
snow thrower must stand on level ground when checking.
The oil level should be between “ADD” and “FULL”. See 
figure 1. If necessary, top up with more oil. 
5.3 Fuel
5.3.1 General
NOTE! Ordinary lead-free petrol is a perishable. Do not buy 
more petrol than can be used within 30 days.
Acrylate petrol can be used. This type of petrol has a 
composition that is less harmful to people and animals.
Petrol is highly inflammable. Always store fuel in 
containers that are made especially for this 
purpose. 
Store the petrol in a cool, well-ventilated place – 
not in the house. Store the petrol well out of the 
reach of children.
5.3.2 Fuel
The snow thrower is fitted with a four-stroke engine. Always 
use lead-free petrol. Oil-mixed 2-stroke petrol must not be 
used.
Oil-mixed 2-stroke petrol must not be used.
5.3.3 Filling
Only fill or top up with petrol outdoors, and never 
smoke when filling or topping up. Fill up with fuel 
before starting the engine. Never remove the filler 
cap or fill with petrol while the engine is running 
or still warm.
Do not fill the petrol tank right to the top. After filling, screw 
the filler cap on tightly and wipe up any spilt petrol. 
5.4 Starting the engine
The engine can be started manually or, on some snow 
throwers, with an electric starter. Both alternatives are 
described below:
The electric starter is fitted with a 230 V earthed 
cable. Connections may only be made to earthed 
sockets, as otherwise there is a risk of serious 
personal injury or death.
When connecting, first connect to the snow 
thrower.
When disconnecting, first disconnect the cable 
from the property’s power socket.
5.4.1 Starting the engine from cold,
SN 421, SN 5022 RS
1. Fill the fuel tank with petrol. See previous section.
2. Check that the auger drive lever (2:D) is disconnected.
3. Activate the choke (3:N).
4. Set the stop control (3:P) in the ON position.
5. Press in the primer (3:O) as follows:
Above 10°C: Do not press.
Between -10 and +10°C: Press twice.
Below -10°C: Press 4 times.
Lift your finger from the primer between each press.6. Manual starter: Pull sharply on the recoil starter cord’s 
handle. Do not allow the recoil starter cord’s handle to 
snap back. Ease it back gently.
7. Reset the choke when the engine is running smoothly.
NOTE: At temperatures below -15°C, allow the engine to 
warm up on idle for a few minutes before starting work.
WARNING: Never run the engine indoors or in 
enclosed, poorly ventilated areas. Engine exhaust 
contains carbon monoxide, an odourless and 
deadly gas. Keep parts of your body and clothing 
away from moving parts. The silencer is very hot, 
beware of burn injuries.
5.4.2 Starting a warm engine
To start a warm engine, follow the same procedure as for a 
cold engine with the following exceptions:
• The choke (3:N) must not be used.
• The primer (3:O) must not be used.
5.5 Stop
Before the engine is stopped, allow it to idle for a few 
minutes so that any snow melts away.
Stop the engine by setting the stop control (3:P) in the OFF 
position.
5.6 Starting
Never aim the snow at bystanders.
Always stop the engine before unclogging.
Always wear eye protection when operating the 
snow thrower. 
1. Start the engine as above.
2. Set the height of the deflector (2:J). Upwards gives a 
longer throwing distance and downwards gives a shorter 
throwing distance.
3. Set the discharge chute with the lever (2:C) so that the 
snow is thrown downwind.
4. Start the auger and propulsion by activating the auger 
drive lever (2:D).
5. Stop working by releasing the 
auger drive lever (2:D).
6. Any unclogging can easily be carried out with a piece of 
wood or similar after the engine has stopped.
The propulsion of the snow thrower starts when the auger 
touchs the ground. To facilitate propulsion, raise the 
handlebar a little. Do not push the snow thrower.
Attention! If the auger continues to rotate even though the 
auger drive lever (2:D) has been released, adjust the wire. 
See ‘Maintenance’.

5.7 Operating tips
1. Clear away the snow immediately after snowfall.
2. For complete snow clearance, slightly overlap each 
clearance pass.
3. If possible, discharge the snow downwind.
4.6. In strong wind, lower the deflector to direct the 
discharged snow close to the ground, where it is less 
likely to blow into unwanted areas.
5.  For safety and to prevent damage to the snow thrower, 
keep the area to be cleared free of stones, toys and other 
foreign objects.
6. The snow thrower’s capacity depends on the depth and 
density of the snow. Learn how the snow thrower works 
in different snow conditions.
5.7.1 Dry and normal snow
Snow up to 20 cm deep can be removed quickly and easily 
by clearing at an even speed. For snow or drifts of a greater 
depth, lower your speed and let the machine work at its own 
pace.
Plan for downwind discharge of the snow.
5.7.2 Wet, packed snow
Drive slowly forward. Avoid to use the scraping blade to 
remove remaining packen snow and ice. Hoeing will lead to 
fatigue failure in the auger housing.
5.8 After use
1. Allow the engine to run for a few minutes after each snow 
clearing operation to allow ice and snow on the snow 
thrower to melt away.
2. Check that there are no damaged or loose parts. Repair/
replace parts if necessary.
3. Tighten loose screw joints.
4.  Shut off the choke.
5. Remove the spark plug cable from the spark plug.
6.  Clean the snow thrower after each use. Wash off with 
water to remove salt or other chemicals. Wipe the snow 
thrower dry
6 MAINTENANCE
Before carrying out maintenance work, 
disconnect the cable from the spark plug.
6.1 Oil change
Change the oil the first time after 2 hours of operation, and 
subsequently every 25 hours of operation or at least once a 
season. Change oil when the engine is warm.
The engine oil is very hot immediately after the 
engine is shut off. Allow the engine to cool before 
draining the oil. Risk of burns.
1.  Remove the oil filler cap and dipstick. 
See fig 4.
2. Place a container on the floor for the oil to run into.
Check that the plug is correctly tightened. If it 
comes loose during operation, the engine will be 
destroyed.
3. Stand the snow thrower up and fill with new oil. See 
“Before starting”.6.2 Spark plug
Before disconnecting the spark plug, clean around its 
mounting.
Replace the spark plug once a year or every hundred hours of 
use.
Spark plug: Champion RV 19 LM or equivalent.
Tightening torque: 24-27 Nm.
Electrode distance: 0.7-0.8 mm 
6.3 Carburettor
The carburettor is factory set. If adjustment is required, 
contact an authorised service station. 
7 LUBRICATION
Before carrying out maintenance work, disconnect 
the cable from the spark plug.
Lubricate the adjustment lever’s gear and the discharge chute 
before storing the snow thrower for the summer. Use a 
clinging type of grease, e.g. Lubriplate.
8 SERVICE AND REPAIRS
8.1 Adjusting cable 
The auger drive lever’s cable is adjusted at the factory. Any 
adjustments are carried out as follows:
1.  Loosen the screw (8:D) and move the spring (8:E) 
backwards to tension the cable.
2.  Tighten the screw (8:D) in the desired position. 
8.2 Replacing the drive belt 
Replace the drive belt as follows:
1.  Dismantle the left belt cover by removing the 7 screws 
(9:F).
2. Loosen the two pulleys (10:G).
3. Loosen the belt guide (11:H) on the underside.
4. Pry off the belt and install the new one in the same way.
5. Assemble the other parts in the reverse order.
8.3 Replacing auger and bearing  
1.  Dismantle the left belt cover by removing the 7 screws 
(9:F).
2. Force the belt off the auger’s pulley (12:J).
3. Hold the auger securely with a piece of wood or similar 
and unscrew the pulley with a 26 mm socket. Note that 
the thread on the pulley is left-handed.
4. Remove the screws (13:K) on the left-hand side of the 
auger housing.
5. Dismantle the right cover by removing the 6 screws 
(14:N).
6. Dismantle the discharge chute (14:L) by removing the 
two screws (14:M).
7. Lift up the worm screw (15:Q)
8. Unscrew the auger housing’s centre screws (14:P).
9. Pull the bearing off the left side of the auger using a 
puller. See fig. 16.
10. Take out the auger.

11. Replace defect components and reinstall in reverse order. 
Attention! Always install a washer or flange nut against 
all plastic components.
Attention! Do not tighten the screw joints too hard. This 
can damage the plastic components.
9 STORAGE
Never store the snow thrower with petrol in the 
tank in a confined area with poor ventilation. 
Highly inflammable petrol fumes are formed.
If the snow thrower is to be stored for a period longer than 30 
days, the following measures must be taken:
1.  Empty the petrol tank.
2.  Start the engine and let it run until it stops due to lack of 
fuel.
Empty the petrol tank outdoors when the engine is 
cold. Do not smoke. Empty into a container 
designed for petrol.
4.  Change the engine oil if this has not been done for 3 
months.
5.  Unscrew the spark plug and pour 30 ml of engine oil into 
the hole. Crank the engine a couple of times. Screw back 
the spark plug.
6.  Clean the whole snow thrower thoroughly.
7.  Lubricate. See “Lubrication”.
8.  Inspect the snow thrower for damage. Repair if 
necessary.
9.  Touch up any paint damage.
10. Rust-proof unpainted metal surfaces.
11. Store the snow thrower indoors if possible. 
10 PURCHASE TERMS
A full warranty is issued against manufacturing and material 
defects. The user must carefully follow the instructions given 
in the enclosed documentation.
For batteries: six months from the purchase date.
The warranty does not cover damage due to:
- Neglect by users to acquaint themselves with 
accompanying documentation
- Carelessness
- Incorrect and non-permitted use or assembly
- The use of non-genuine spare parts
- The use of accessories not supplied or approved by GGP
Neither does the warranty cover:
- Wear parts such as drive belts, augers, headlights, wheels, 
shear bolts and wires
- Normal wear
- Engines. These are covered by the engine manufacturer’s 
warranties, with separate terms and conditions.
The purchaser is covered by the national laws of each 
country. The rights to which the purchaser is entitled with the 
support of these laws are not restricted by this warranty.

2 RÈGLES DE SÉCURITÉ
2.1 GÉNÉRALITÉS
• Veuillez lire attentivement les instructions qui suivent et 
apprendre les commandes et le maniement correct de la 
machine avant de l’utiliser.
• Ne jamais confier l’utilisation du chasse-neige à des en-
fants ou à des personnes inexpérimentées. L’âge mini-
mum du conducteur est déterminé par les 
réglementations en vigueur.
• Ne pas tondre à proximité de personnes, en particulier des 
enfants, ou d’animaux. 
• Le conducteur de l’engin assume seul la responsabilité 
des accidents impliquant des personnes ou des biens.
• Veiller à ne pas trébucher ou tomber, surtout lors de la 
conduite en marche arrière.
• L’usage du chasse-neige est interdit aux utilisateurs fa-
tigués, malades, ou sous l’influence de l’alcool ou de mé-
dicaments.2.2 PRÉCAUTIONS
• Contrôler la zone à déneiger et retirer les objets suscepti-
bles de gêner le travail.
• Débrayer toutes les commandes avant de démarrer le mo-
teur.
• Porter des vêtements appropriés. Porter des chaussures 
ou bottes dont les semelles ne glissent pas.
• Attention – l’essence est très inflammable. 
• A. Toujours conserver l’essence dans des récipients spé-
cialement conçus à cet effet.
• B. Faire le plein d’essence uniquement à l’extérieur, et 
ne pas fumer pendant l’opération. 
• C. Faire le plein d’essence avant de démarrer le moteur. 
Ne jamais enlever le bouchon du réservoir ou procéder au 
remplissage quand le moteur tourne ou est encore chaud.
• D. Revisser fermement le bouchon du réservoir et essuy-
er l’essence qui aurait débordé.
• Régler la hauteur du carter de la fraise pour qu’elle ne 
touche pas le gravier.
• Il est formellement interdit de procéder aux réglages si le 
moteur n’est pas à l’arrêt (sauf  instructions contraires).
• Laisser le chasse-neige s’adapter à la température ex-
térieure avant de l’utiliser.
• Porter impérativement des lunettes de protection ou une 
visière pendant l’utilisation, la maintenance et les entre-
tiens. 
2.3 UTILISATION
• 3. Éloigner les mains et les pieds des éléments en rota-
tion.  Toujours rester à l’écart de l’orifice de l’éjecteur.
• Faire attention lorsqu’on déneige des sentiers, trottoirs et 
routes, ou lorsqu’on les traverse. Se méfier des dangers 
cachés et faire attention au trafic.
• Ne jamais diriger l’éjecteur vers la voie publique ou le 
trafic.
• En cas dimpact avec un objet quelconque, couper le mo-
teur, débrancher le câble de la bougie et vérifier 
minutieusement létat de la machine.  Procéder aux répa-
rations qui simposent avant de la remettre en service.
• Si la machine vibre anormalement, couper le moteur et 
vérifier immédiatement lorigine des vibrations. Elles sig-
nalent généralement un problème.
• Arrêter le moteur et débrancher le câble de la batterie : 
A. Si la machine dévie de sa trajectoire.
B. Si la fraise ou l’éjecteur se bloquent et doivent être dé-
gagés. 
C. Avant d’entamer des réparations ou des réglages.
• Avant de procéder au nettoyage, à la réparation ou à l’in-
spection de la machine, s’assurer que toutes les parties 
mobiles sont à l’arrêt et que toutes les commandes sont 
débrayées.
• Lorsque le chasse-neige est abandonné sans surveillance, 
débrayer les commandes, mettre la boîte de vitesse en po-
sition neutre, couper le moteur et retirer la clé de contact. 
• Ne pas faire tourner le moteur à l’intérieur, sauf au dé-
marrage ou pour sortir et rentrer le chasse-neige. Ouvrir 
les portes donnant vers l’extérieur ; les gaz d’échappe-
ment sont toxiques.

• Ne jamais circuler perpendiculairement à une pente. Se 
déplacer de haut en bas, et de bas en haut. Redoubler de 
prudence lors des changements de direction sur les ter-
rains en pente. Éviter les pentes escarpées.
• Ne jamais utiliser la machine si les protections et disposi-
tifs de sécurité sont insuffisants.
• Il est interdit de déconnecter les dispositifs de sécurité ou 
d’en empêcher le fonctionnement.
• Ne pas modifier le réglage du moteur. Ne pas pousser le 
moteur à plein régime. Le risque de blessure augmente 
lorsque le moteur tourne à plein régime.
• Ne pas déneiger à proximité de clôtures, véhicules, 
fenêtres ou sur des pentes escarpées sans adapter le dé-
flecteur déjection. 
• Éloigner les enfants des zones à déneiger et confier leur 
surveillance à un adulte.
• Ne pas surcharger la capacité de la machine en tentant de 
déneiger trop rapidement.
• Faire attention en changeant de direction. Regarder der-
rière soi avant et pendant la marche arrière pour vérifier 
l’absence d’obstacles.
•  Ne jamais orienter l’éjecteur vers des personnes se trou-
vant à proximité. De même, personne ne doit se trouver 
dans la trajectoire de celle-ci. 
• Débrayer la fraise lors du transport du chasse-neige ou 
lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé. Modérer la vitesse pour le 
transport de la machine sur les surfaces glissantes.
• Utiliser exclusivement des accessoires approuvés par le 
fabricant.
• Ne jamais utiliser le chasse-neige lorsque la luminosité 
ou la visibilité sont insuffisantes.
• Veiller à avoir en permanence une bonne stabilité sur le 
sol et une bonne prise sur le guidon. 
• Ne pas utiliser le chasse-neige sur les toits.
• Certains éléments du moteur chauffent pendant l’utilisa-
tion. Ne pas les toucher sous peine de se brûler.
2.4 MAINTENANCE ET REMISAGE
• Serrer tous les boulons et vis pour assurer la sécurité de 
la machine. Vérifier régulièrement le serrage des boulons 
de cisaillement.
• Utiliser exclusivement des pièces d’origine. L’utilisation 
d’autres types de pièces de rechange, même si elles 
s’adaptent à la machine, peut se révéler dangereuse.
• Ne pas stationner la machine à l’intérieur si son réservoir 
contient du carburant dont les émanations sont suscepti-
bles d’entrer en contact avec des flammes nues ou des 
étincelles.
• Laisser refroidir le moteur avant de ranger la machine 
dans un local.
• Lorsque le chasse-neige doit être remisé pendant une 
longue période, se référer aux instructions du manuel de 
l’utilisateur.
• Remplacer les autocollants d’avertissement et d’instruc-
tions devenus illisibles.
• À la fin du travail, laisser tourner le chasse-neige pendant 
quelques minutes  pour éviter que la fraise ne soit figée 
par le gel.
3 ASSEMBLAGE
REMARQUE : dans ce manuel, la gauche et la droite sont 
déterminées par rapport à la position dutilisation de la ma-
chine.
DANGER : Toujours débrancher le câble de bou-
gie pour monter l’engin ou procéder aux entre-
tiens.
3.1 DÉBALLAGE
1. Identifier toutes les pièces emballées séparément et les 
retirer du carton.
2. Déballer le chasse-neige.
3. À l’aide du couteau, découper les quatre arêtes du carton 
pour abaisser les côtés de l’emballage.
4. Dégager le chasse-neige de l’emballage en le tirant par la 
partie inférieure du guidon.
5. Déballer le guidon.
3.2 POIGNÉE
1. Déballer les parties supérieure et inférieure du guidon.
2. Desserrer les vis (2:B) de part et d’autre du guidon (2:E).
3. Relever la partie supérieure du guidon  en position d’uti-
lisation. Écarter la partie supérieure pour éviter de griffer 
la partie inférieure du guidon.
Attention ! S’assurer que les câbles ne sont pas coincés entre 
les deux parties du guidon.
4. Resserrer les vis (2:B).
3.3 ÉJECTEUR (2:H)
Installer l’éjecteur (2:H) comme suit :
1. Placer l’éjecteur au-dessus de l’ouverture.
2. Installer la vis et l’écrou.
3. Serrer les trois joints à vis sur l’éjecteur.
3.4 LEVIER DE RÉGLAGE (2:C)
Actionner le levier à fond dans les deux sens. Vérifier si 
l’éjecteur (2:H) pivote librement.
4 COMMANDES
Voir fig. 1-3.
Levier de réglage (2:C)– Modifie l’orientation de l’éjecteur.
Déflecteur (2:J) – Règle la distance à laquelle la neige est 
projetée.
Éjecteur (2:H) – Règle la direction dans laquelle la neige est 
projetée.
Levier de la fraise (2:D) – Démarre et arrête la fraise/l’im-
pulseur qui entraîne le chasse-neige.
Commande stop (3:P) – Doit être mise en position ON 
avant de lancer le moteur.
Amorçage (3:O) – Injecte du carburant directement dans le 
carburateur pour faciliter le démarrage par temps froid.
Poignée de démarrage (2:Q) – Pour lancer le moteur ma-
nuellement.
Choke (3:N)– Pour les démarrages à froid.
Réservoir (2:A) – Ôter pour faire le plein de carburant.
Huile (1:F)– Ôter pour faire l’appoint d’huile.
Vidange (1:S) – Ôter pour accéder à la jauge.
Jauge (fig. 1) – Retirer pour lire le niveau d’huile dans le car-
ter moteur.
