    LAMPS-Rear FogLamps
DESCRIPTION The rear foglamps onlyoperate whentheheadlamps areilluminated andthe
ignition switchisin position II.The non- latching switchispositioned inthe
centre ofthe dash panel. Whentherear foglamps areswitched on,the
    instrument packwarning lampalsoilluminates. Thefoglamps areautomatically
    switched offevery timetheignition isturned off.
OPERATIONFeed fromthepositive batteryterminal isconnected tothe engine compartment
    fuse box(C632-1) byabrown wire.Current flowsthrough fusiblelink1and
fusible link2ofthe engine compartment fusebox, which areconnected in
parallel. Fusible link1ofthe engine compartment fusebox(C907-1) isconnected tothe
lighting switch(C041-1) byabrown wire.Withthelighting switchineither the
side ormain lampposition, currentflowsacross theswitch (C041-4) tothe
headlamp relay(C282-87) onablue wire. Asthe relay isnot energized, the
    relay switch isopen, preventing currentflow.
Fusible link2ofthe engine compartment fusebox(C907-2) isconnected tothe
ignition switch(C026-1) byabrown wire.Withtheignition switchinposition II
(C094-1), currentflowstothe headlamp relaycoil(C282-85) onawhite wire.
The relay coilisearthed (C282-86) onablack wire.
With therelay coilenergized, therelay switch closes, allowing currenttoflow
from theheadlamp relay(C282-30) tofuse 6ofthe passenger compartment
    fuse box(C580-11). Fuse6ofthe passenger compartment fusebox(C580-12)
is connected tothe rear fogguard lampECU(C543-2) byablue/purple wire.
The rear fogguard lampECU(C543-4) isconnected tothe rear fogguard lamp
    switch (C064-2) byared/slate wire.When theswitch isdepressed
momentarily, itprovides anearth (C064-3) onablack wire.Thefogguard lamp
ECUis alsoearthed (C543-1) directlyonablack wire. When theECU senses
the second earthviathe switch, itprovides afeed (C543-3) tothe instrument
pack warning lamp(C233-4), theRH rear fogguard lamp(C512-1), andtheLH

The hazard lampswitch islocated towards theright hand sideofthe dash
panel. Hazard operation isnot dependent onthe position ofthe ignition switch.
When thehazard switchisdepressed, bothleftand right hand indicator lights
flash. OPERATION Feed fromthepositive batteryterminal isconnected tothe engine compartment
    fuse box(C632-1) byabrown wire.Power flowsthrough fusiblelink2(C907-2)

With thisswitch inthe off(normal) position(C317-1) thelamp canonly be
earthed bythe LH(C266-1) andRH(C265-1) doorswitches. Bothswitches are
connected inparallel bypurple/blue wires.Withthefront doors inthe closed
position bothdoor switches areopen, failing toprovide aroute toearth.
Therefore thelamp does notilluminate. Ifeither theLHorRH door isopened,
the circuit iscompleted andthefront interior lampwillilluminate.
With theintegral switchinthe onposition (C318-1) adirect routetoearth is
    provided onablack wire,illuminating thelamp.
