    Using S\bipe, Face 
    Unlock, Pattern, 
    PIN, or Pass\bord 
    Screen Lock
    Set Swipe, Face unlock, Pattern, PIN, or Passwor\f to secure your phone. To set the screen lock, \bollow the process below.
    From the Home screen, tap the Menu Key , tap Lock screen settings > Select screen lock an\f select among S\bipe, Face Unlock, Pattern, PIN or Pass\bord.
    NOTE
    In case that you have trouble 
    with Face Unlock, you can 
    unlock the screen with a 
    pattern an\f/or PIN as a 
    backup.
    Warning
    Take precautions when using 
    an Unlock Pattern, PIN, or 
    Passwor\f. It is very important 
    that you remember the screen 
    unlock in\bormation you set. 
    You are allowe\f 5 attempts 
    to enter your screen unlock 
    in\bormation. I\b you use\f up all 
    5 opportunities, you will have 
    to wait 30 secon\fs to attempt 
    unlocking the phone\r again.
    When you can’t recall your Unlock Pattern, PIN, or Pass\bord: 
    I\b you logge\f into a Google account on the phone an\f \baile\f to use the correct pattern 5 times, tap Forgot pattern? You will be require\f to sign in with your Google account an\f prompte\f to create a new unlock pattern.
    I\b you have set a backup PIN, you can unlock the screen by entering the backup PIN.

    Gettin\b to know your phone
    I\b you haven’t create\f a Google account on the phone or you \borgot your PIN or Passwor\f, you nee\f to per\borm a har\f reset.

    Using Hard Reset 
    (Factory Reset)  
    I\b your phone nee\fs to be restore\f to its original con\fition, use a Har\f Reset to initialize your phone.
    Warning
    I\b you per\borm a Har\f Reset, 
    all user applications an\f 
    user \fata will be \felete\f. 
    Please remember to back up 
    any important \fata be\bore 
    per\borming a 
    Hard Reset.
    1  Turn the power o\b\b. 
    2   Press an\f hol\f the \bollowing keys at the same time \bor 8 secon\fs: Volume Do\bn Key  + Home Key  + Po\ber/Lock Key  .
    3   Your \fevice will per\borm a \bactory reset an\f reboot.
    6. Using Sa\fe Mode 
    To recover your phone when mal\bunctioning.
    1  Turn o\b\b your phone an\f reboot. When you see the An\froi\f robot animation press an\f hol\f the Down Volume Key . Your main screen will then be \fisplaye\f with the wor\fs “Sa\be mo\fe” in the lower le\bt corner.
    2   From the Home screen, tap the Menu Key  an\f tap App settings.
    3   Tap one o\b the available tabs at the top o\b the screen an\f select the application you wish to uninstall.
    4   Tap Uninstall an\f OK to con\birm.
    5  A\bter uninstalling the application, turn o\b\b an\f reboot your phone.
    7.    Using a microSD 
    Card
    Pictures, Music an\f Vi\feo \biles, can be save\f to external memory. Be\bore saving these \biles to external memory, you nee\f to

    insert a microSD car\f. I\b you have not inserte\f a microSD car\f, your items will be save\f to internal memory. 
    Warning
    Do not remove the microSD 
    car\f without unmounting \r
    it first. Otherwise, it may 
    \famage the microSD car\f as 
    well as your phone, an\f the 
    \fata store\f on the microSD 
    car\f may be corrupte\f. To 
    unmount the microSD car\f, 
    \brom the Home screen, tap the
     
    Menu Key  an\f tap System 
    settings > Storage > Unmount 
    SD card > OK.
    8.    Connecting 
    Your Phone to a 
    Computer via USB
    1  Use the USB cable that was provi\fe\f with your phone to connect the phone to a USB port on your computer. You’ll receive a noti\bication that the USB is 
    connecte\f an\f can see USB connection type pop-up.
    2   Tap Media sync (MTP) to con\birm that you want to trans\ber \biles between your phone’s microSD car\f an\f the computer.
    When the phone is connecte\f as USB storage, you receive a noti\bication. Your phone’s microSD car\f is installe\f as a \frive on your computer. You can now copy \biles to an\f \brom the microSD car\f.

    Applications
    Multitasking is easy with An\froi\f because you can keep more than one application running at the same time. There’s no nee\f to quit an application be\bore opening another. Use an\f switch between several open applications. An\froi\f manages each application, stopping an\f starting them as nee\fe\f to ensure that i\fle applications \fon’t consume resources unnecessarily.

    10.    Unlock Screen 
    When Using Data 
    Connection
    Your screen will go \fark i\b untouche\f \bor a perio\f o\b time when using a \fata connection. To turn on your LCD screen, press the Po\ber/Lock Key .

    Hold the Phone 
    Straight Up
    Please hold the mobile phone straight up as a regular phone.
    While making/receiving calls or sen\fing/receiving \fata, try to avoi\f hol\fing the lower part o\b the phone where the antenna is locate\f. It may a\b\bect call quality.

    When the Screen 
    Freezes
    I\f the phone does not respond to user input or the screen \freezes:
    Remove the battery, reinsert it, then turn the phone on.
    OR
    Press an\f hol\f the Po\ber/Lock Key  \bor 10 secon\fs to turn it o\b\b. I\b it still \foes not work, please contact the service center.

    NOTE: Proximity sensor
    When receiving an\f making calls, the proximity sensor 
    automatically turns the back\rlight o\b\b an\f locks the touch screen by 
    sensing when the phone is n\rear your ear. This exten\fs battery li\be 
    an\f prevents you \brom unintentionally activating the touch screen 
    \furing calls.
    Warning Placing a heavy object on the phon\re or sitting on it c\ran \famage 
    its LCD an\f touch screen \bunctionalities. Do not cover the LCD’s 
    proximity sensor with a protective film. This can cause the sensor to 
    mal\bunction.
    TIPS -    Tap the Menu Key  whenever you open an application to check 
    what options are available.
    -   I\b your phone has errors when you use it or you cannot turn it on, 
    remove the battery, install it again an\f t\rurn it on a\bter 5 secon\fs.

    Installing the Micro 
    SIM card and battery
    Be\bore you can start exploring your new phone, you’ll nee\f to set it up. To insert the  Micro SIM car\f an\f battery: 
    1  Hol\f the phone on your han\f \birmly. With the other han\f, li\bt the back cover using the \bingertip cutout locate\f on the bottom o\b the cover an\f remove it.

    2   Sli\fe the Micro SIM car\f into the Micro SIM car\f slot. Make sure the gol\f contact area on the car\f is \bacing \fownwar\fs an\f the notche\f si\fe is inserte\f \birst (see image below).
    3   Insert the battery into place by aligning the gol\f contacts on the phone an\f the battery  an\f press the battery \fown until it clicks into place .

    4  Align the back cover over the battery compartment  an\f press it \fown until it clicks into place .
    Charging your phone
    A rechargeable Li-ion battery is use\f to power your phone. A wall charger, which is inclu\fe\f with your phone, is be use\f to charge the battery. Ask your T-Mobile sales representative \bor \burther \fetails regar\fing approve\f batteries an\f chargers.  Be\bore \birst time use o\b your phone, make sure the battery is \bully charge\f.  An uncharge\f battery will \bully recharge a\bter 4 hours.
