    Manually Configure LAN Switch Ports
    The modem router’s LAN interference is a 10/100/1GBASE-T Ethernet switch. By default, the  switch ports are set to automatically negotiate speed and duplex with any connected device. 
    Manual configuration might be desirable if the devices fail to properly autonegotiate. 
    To manually configure LAN switch ports:
    1.  Launch 
     an  Internet  browser  from  a  computer  or  mobile  device  that  is  connected  to  the 
    network.
    2.  T
    ype  http://www.routerlogin.net  or http://www.routerlogin.com .
    A login window opens.
    3.  Enter 
    the  user  name  and  password.
    The user name is  admin.

    Change the Modem Router’s Device Name
    The modem router’s device name is C7100V. This device name displays in file manager 
    when you browse your network.
    To change the modem router’s device name:
    1. Launch  an  Internet  browser  from  a  computer  or  mobile  device  that  is  connected  to  the 
    network.
    2. Type http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com.
    A login window opens.
    3. Enter  the  user  name  and  password.
    The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and 
    password are case-sensitive.
    The BASIC Home page displays.
    4. Select ADVANCED  >  Setup  >  LAN  Setup.
    The LAN Setup page displays.
    5. In  the Device  Name  field,  type  a  new  name.
    6. Click  the Apply  button.
    Your settings are saved.
    Change the LAN TCP/IP Settings
    The modem router is preconfigured to use private IP addresses on the LAN side and to act as 
    a DHCP server. The modem router’s default LAN IP configuration is as follows:
    •LAN IP address. 192.168.0.1
    •Subnet mask. 255.255.255.0
    These addresses are part of the designated private address range for use in private networks

    Specify the IP Addresses That the Modem Router Assigns
    By default, the modem router acts as a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server. 
    The modem router assigns IP, DNS server, and default gateway addresses to all computers  connected to the LAN. The assigned default gateway address is the LAN address of the 
    modem router. 
    These addresses must be part of the same IP address subnet as the 
     modem router’s LAN IP 
    address. Using the default addressing scheme, define a range between 192.168.0.2 and 
    192.168.0.254, although you can save part of the range for devices with fixed addresses.

    To specify the pool of IP addresses that the modem router assigns:
    1. 
    Launch  an  Internet  browser  from  a  computer  or  mobile  device  that  is  connected  to  the 
    network.

    addresses.
    This IP address must be in the same subnet as the modem router.

     DHCP:
    • An IP address from the range that you defined
    • Subnet mask
    • Gateway IP address (the modem router’

    Disable the DHCP Server Feature in the Modem Router

    2. Type http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com.
    A login window opens.
    3. Enter  the  user  name  and  password.
    The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and 
    password are case-sensitive.
    The BASIC Home page displays.
    4. Select ADVANCED  >  Setup  >  LAN  Setup.
    The LAN Setup page displays.
    5. Select  the  radio  button  next  to  the  reserved  address.

    o  change  the  WiFi  channel,  select  a  number  in  the  Channel  menu.
    In some regions, not all channels are available. Do not change the channel unless you 
    experience interference (shown by lost connections or slow data transfers). If this 
    happens, experiment with dif
    
    ferent channels to see which is the best. 
    When you use multiple access points, it is better if adjacent access points use dif
     ferent 
    channels to reduce interference. The recommended channel spacing between adjacent 
    access points is four channels (for example, use Channels 1 and 5, or 6 and 10).
