Playing Back Motion Pictures
Select a picture with a Motion Picture icon (such as 
[ ]), and then touch [ ] to play back.

Deleting Pictures
Once deleted, pictures cannot be recovered.
•Pictures on the built-in memory or the card that are being played back will be deleted.
To delete a single picture
Select the picture to be deleted, and then 
touch [ ].
Touch [Delete Single].
•Confirmation screen is displayed. 
Picture is deleted by selecting [Yes].

•Do not turn the camera off while deleting. Use a battery with sufficient battery power or the AC 
adaptor (optional) and DC coupler (optional).
•Depending on the number of pictures to be deleted, it may take some time to delete them.• If pictures do not conform to the DCF standard  or are protected, they will not be deleted 
even if [Delete All] or [All Delete ExceptÜ] is selected.

Setting the Menu
The camera comes with menus that allow you to choose the settings for taking pictures 
and playing them back just as you like and menus that enable you to have more fun with 
the camera and use it more easily.
In particular, the [Setup] menu contains some important settings relating to the camera’s 
clock and power. Check the settings of this menu before proceeding to use the camera.

You can have the LCD monitor display desired menu items.
Up to 2 frequently-used menu items can be  registered per [Rec]/[Playback] Mode.

Read  P68 for the [Rec] Mode menu, and  P91 for the [Playback] Mode menu.
∫Replacing or removing items
•In Step 2, drag the menu item you want to register to an item already registered. The items will 
be replaced.
•In Step 2, drag registered items out of the shortcut setting area. Registration is canceled 
leaving an empty item.

•The brightness of the pictures displayed on the LCD monitor is increased so some subjects 
may appear different from real life on the LCD monitor. However, this does not affect the 
recorded pictures.
•The LCD monitor automatically returns to normal brightness after 30 seconds when recording 
in Power LCD Mode. It will light up brightly again by button or touch operation.
•The number of recordable pictures decreases in [LCD Mode].

•[Auto Review] is activated regardless of its setting when using [Hi-Speed Burst] and 
[Flash Burst] in Scene Mode and [Burst] in [Rec] Mode menu.
•In Intelligent Auto Mode or [Photo Frame] in Scene Mode, the Auto Review function is fixed to 
[2SEC.].
•[Auto Review] does not work in Motion Picture Mode.
