    ∫About [ ] (Intelligent ISO sensitivity control)
The camera automatically sets the optimum ISO sensitivity and shutter speed to suit the
movement of the subject and brightness of the scene to minimize the jitter of the subject.
    •
The shutter speed is not fixed when the shutter button is pressed halfway. It is continuously
changing to match the movement of the subject until the shutter button is pressed fully. Confirm
the actual shutter speed on the information display for the picture being played back.
    Note
•The higher the value set for the ISO sensitivity, the more the jitter is reduced but the greater the
    amount of picture noise.
•Refer to P72 for the flash range.•Depending on the brightness and how fast the su bject is moving, jitter may not be avoided even
    if [ ] is selected.
•Movements may not be detected when a moving subject is small, when a moving subject is at
the edge of the screen or when a subject has moved at the very moment when the shutter
    button was pressed fully.
•The setting is fixed to [ ] in the following cases.–In [INDOOR PORTRAIT] in [PORTRAIT]–In [SPORTS]–[BABY1]/[BABY2], [PET] and [FLASH BURST] in Scene Mode•Program Shift cannot be activated when the ISO sensitivity is set to [ ].•You cannot select [ ] in Shutter-Priority AE Mode and Manual Exposure Mode.•To avoid picture noise, we recommend reducing the ISO sensitivity, setting
[NOISE REDUCTION] in [FILM MODE] towards [ _] or setting the items except
[NOISE REDUCTION] towards [ `] to take pictures. (P119)

    Note
•When [AF-CONTINUOUS] is set, focus prediction will be performed in a possible range to
prioritize the burst speed. Therefore, if you try to take a picture of a subject that is moving fast,
it may have trouble with focusing or it may take time to focus.
    •You can select only [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], and [ ] when in Intelligent Auto Mode.•When [ ] or [ ] is selected, [QUALITY] can only be set to [ A] or [ ›]. If you select [ ] or
    [ ] when [QUALITY] is [ ], [ ] or [ ], [QUALITY] will automatically change to [ A].
•The burst speed may become slower while taking pictures in [ ] or [ ] setting.•When [ ] or [ ] is selected, the exposure and white balance are adjusted for each
    recording in the burst.
•When [ ], [ ], or [ ] is selected, exposure and white balance will be fixed to the settings
for the first picture. Depending on changes in the brightness of the subject, the recording may
be brighter or darker from the second picture.
•Recording is performed by the electronic shutter when [ ] or [ ] is selected, so the
    recorded picture may appear warped.
•We recommend using the remote shutter (DMW-RSL1; optional) when you want to keep the
shutter button pressed fully while taking pictures in Burst Mode. Refer to P207 for information
    about the remote shutter.
•When the Self-Timer is used, the number of recordable pictures in Burst Mode is fixed to 3.•If you are following a moving subject while taking pictures in a place (landscape) indoors,
outdoors etc. where there is a large difference between the light and shade, it may take time
until the exposure is stable. If burst is used at this time, the exposure may not become optimal.
•The burst speed (pictures/second) may become slower depending on the recording
environment such as in dark places, if the ISO sensitivity is high etc.
•Burst Mode is not canceled when the camera is switched off.•Due to the limited amount of the built-in memory , the use of Burst Mode may be limited. We
recommend having an SD card installed for reliable Burst Mode operation.
•If you take pictures in Burst Mode with the built-in memory, it will take time to write the picture
    data.
•[ Œ ] is set for the flash when burst is set.•Auto Bracket, White Balance Bracket or Multi Film Bracket is canceled when Burst is
    set.
•You cannot use Burst Mode in [PANORAMA ASSIST], [FLASH BURST], [STARRY SKY],
[PHOTO FRAME] and [HIGH SPEED MOVIE] in Scene Mode
•You cannot set [STABILIZER] to [AUTO] or [MODE2] when burst is set.•[AF-CONTINUOUS] cannot be selected in [FIREWORKS] in Scene Mode or when recording
    motion pictures.
•[AF-CONTINUOUS] does not work when using AF lock.•Face Recognition information is attached only to the first picture of the burst during recording
with face recognition. (However, the whole group is treated as Face Recognition pictures
    during [CATEGORY PLAY].)
