([On]) Rotate pictures on a TV and the LCD monitor/viewfinder so that they 
are displayed vertically.

The zoom lens of this unit allows you to change the focal length from wide-angle, which 
allows you to record a majestic landscape, to telephoto zoom, which allows you to 
enlarge a small distant subject. You can also increase the zoom ratio further by changing 
the setting.

Enlarging a subject further
The zoom lens of this unit can zoom in up to 60x (optical zoom). If you use the following 
functions, you can enlarge the subject even further.
 ■Extended optical zoom
Zooming in up to 135x is possible when pictures with [  ] have been selected by 
[Picture Size] on the [Rec] menu

adjust the contrast of an entire picture when the background is bright.
