     Autoroute
    If the vehicle deviates from the guidance route, a new 
    search is performed automatically and a new route to the 
    destination from the current position is displayed.
    Note:
       Autoroute does not operate for areas where there are 
    no roads to the search target, such as within park 
    sites. Autoroute only starts when it judges that the 
    vehicle is moving along a search subject road.
       Voice intersection guidance
    The direction in which to turn is stated as one of eight 
    directions.
    Note:
       Some voice guidance may be omitted, depending on 
    the speed of the vehicle.

    Display the  All route screen manually
    The All route screen, displaying the route from starting 
    point to destination, can be displayed manually.

    Request voice guidance
    Press  during route guidance to display the name* 
    of the current position and provide voice guidance of the 
    distance to the next intersection, destination, etc.

    according to nearby place name, POI name or street 
    name, etc.

    							 Edit the Contact information

      Change an icon
    1Select [Icon] on the Edit Contacts 
    screen.
    2Select an icon.
       The selected icon is displayed on the map for the 
    Contact.
       Select [Page 1]/[Page 2]/[With sound] to change 
    the list. Select [With sound] to make a sound 
    when the vehicle approaches a Contact.
      If the icon was selected from the [With 
    sound] list
       Select  to check the sound that will be 
    made as the vehicle approaches the Contact.
     
       Select [Direction guidance bell] to sound a 
    bell only when the point is approached from 
    the desired direction.
      
      Use [
    ] or [] to adjust the direction from 
    which to make the sound on approach.
      
      Select [Enter].
        
       [Direction guidance bell] setting is 
    complete.
    Note:
       Select [No icon] from [Page 2] to avoid displaying an 
    icon on the Contact.
      Set a Contact for home
    Only one Contact can be set as home.
    Select [Set Home] on the Edit 
    Contacts screen.
       A Contact is set for home.   When [Del. Home] is selected, the home setting 
    is cancelled.
       If another Contact has already been registered 
    as home, select [Yes] to cancel the old home 
    setting and change to the new home setting.
      Set the name of a Contact
    1Select [Name] on the Edit Contacts 
    screen.
    2Enter the name and select [OK].
       The entered text is set as the name.   The name may have up to 70 characters.   How to enter text ( page 97)
      Set whether or not to display a 
    name on the map
    Select [On]/[Off] under “Show name”.
      [On]:   Displays the name of the Contact on the map.  [Off]:   Does not display the name of the Contact on 
    the map.
      Change the position of a Contact
    1Select [Location] on the Edit 
    Contacts screen.
    2Move the cursor to the location to 
    which you wish to move the Contact 
    and select [Enter].
       Moves the Contact to the center of the cursor.   Make the setting on a map of 0.5 mile (500 m*) 
    or more detailed scale.

      Register a telephone number to 
    a Contact
    1Select [Phone No.] on the Edit 
    Contacts screen.
    2Enter the phone number and select [OK].

    destination can be registered. When an Area to avoid is 
    registered, route searches will look for routes that avoid

    2Select [Register] for “Area to avoid”.

    avoid.

       When [+] or [–] are used to switch the map scale, 
    the map switches but the size of the square frame 
    indicating the area does not switch.
       In the following situations, a route search may 
    produce a route passing through an Area to avoid.
     
       If the vehicle or the destination is inside the Area to 
    avoid.
     
       When a route that detours around the Area to 
    avoid cannot be found, such as when there is only 
    one road between the vehicle position and the 
    destination.
        Highways, toll roads and ferries within an Area to 
    avoid are not subject to detour. 
      To make the highway you want to avoid as a subject 
    to detour, set the size of the Area to avoid to 
     and 
    set it on the highway.
       When near an Area to avoid, an indirect route may 
    be produced to avoid any roads entering the Area to 
    avoid.

    Turn the audiovisual  source off
    Select [Audio Off] on the Audiovisual

       The audio and video stop.
      To turn audiovisual source back on

    screen to the navigation screen
    Press  while the audiovisual 
    screen is displayed.
       The display switches to the current position 
    screen, but audio output continues.
