Switch audiovisual source 1Press . The Audiovisual source operation screen is displayed. 2Select an audiovisual source. The system switches to the selected source. [AM]: Switches to AM radio. [FM]: Switches to FM radio. [DISC]*1: Switches to a corresponding disc. (DVD, CD, MP3/WMA) [XM]*2: Switches to XM Satellite Radio. [SIRIUS]*3: Switches to SIRIUS Satellite Radio. [iPod]*4: Switches to iPod. [AV]: Switches to Line-in. *1 This system is able to identify disc types automatically, switching to DVD, CD or MP3/ WMA. * 2 This is displayed when an XM Satellite Radio Tuner (XMD1000) is connected. * 3 This is displayed when a SIRIUS Satellite Radio Tuner (SIR-PAN1) is connected. * 4 This is displayed when an iPod is connected. Note: When [] ([]) is displayed, there is a source that is not displayed on the screen. Select [] ([]) to switch the screen. Turn the audiovisual source off Select [Audio Off] on the Audiovisual source operation screen. The audio and video stop. To turn audiovisual source back on Select [Audio On] on the Audiovisual source operation screen. The audio and video display is shown. Switch from the Audiovisual screen to the navigation screen Press while the audiovisual screen is displayed. The display switches to the current position screen, but audio output continues. Note: Turn the audiovisual source off to output only navigation sound and image. ( above) Basic audiovisual operations Switch to radio (AM or FM) Select [AM] or [FM] on the Audiovisual source operation screen. The system switches to the Radio operation screen (AM or FM). Preset memory The station being received can be stored manually under a selected number. (Manual preset) Select the frequency, then touch and hold the number under which you wish to store the frequency for at least 2 seconds. The station being received is stored under the selected number. Note: It is also possible to search automatically for receivable frequencies and store them. Under FM, 6 channels can be stored for each channel list (FM1, FM2 and FM3). (18 channels in total) The channel list switches as shown below, each time [Band] is selected. FM1 FM2 FM3 Select a stored station Selects the stored station. Select a station (number) from the Preset stations. The radio switches to the selected station. Auto preset memory Search automatically for receivable stations and store them. (Up to 18 FM and 6 AM stations) Touch and hold [Auto. P] for at least 2 seconds. Auto preset mode is engaged and the Auto preset mode indicator illuminates. Stations are stored in order of reception quality. The stored stations are overwritten and updated every time this operation is performed. If no receivable stations are found, tuning goes through the whole frequency range and returns to the original station. Note: Even in Auto preset mode, station selection and manual preset can still be used. Under FM, [Each] or [All] can be selected to specify the Auto presetting range. [Each]: Auto presetting is performed for the displayed list band (6 channels). The other two lists are not subject to Auto preset mode. [All]: Auto presetting is performed for all lists FM1 to 3 (18 channels). To cancel Auto preset mode Select [Auto. P]. Auto preset mode is cancelled. Stations stored under Auto preset mode are cleared. The radio returns to the preset station that was stored before Auto preset mode was engaged. Disc insert (CD/DVD) 1Press . The Open/Tilt/Eject screen is displayed. 2Select [Disc]. The monitor opens. If there is a disc inside, it is ejected automatically. 3Insert a disc. Printed side The monitor closes automatically. Note: The disc is played automatically after insertion. 3 {8 cm} discs can only be inserted in a 3 {8 cm} disc cartridge. The DVD Hint screen The DVD Hint screen is displayed when a DVD is inserted. It presents a simple explanation of DVD operation. Check the explanation, then select [OK]. The DVD Hint screen disappears. Note: Once [OK] is selected, the DVD Hint screen will not be displayed again until the engine stops. It appears again after the engine is restarted or the key is turned to ACC ON. Disc eject (CD/DVD) 1Select [Disc] on the Open/Tilt/Eject screen. The monitor opens and the disc is ejected. 2Remove the CD/DVD. Select [Close] to close the monitor. Pressing also closes the monitor. The Disc operation screen (DVD, CD, MP3/ WMA) is displayed. Note: Audio and video may be interrupted briefl y while the format is identifi ed. Play a disc (continued) Top menu and title menu operations Use direct touch to select Menu items can be selected by touching them directly (the direct touch function). Preparation: When the direct touch function is off (when the cursor keys are displayed), select [DIRECT TOUCH] to turn the direct function on. Touch items in the top menu or title menu to select them. The display switches to the selected item. Note: The menu items included differ between discs. Functions may not always follow user operations, as playback differs according to the content of the disc. Direct touch may not be usable with some discs. In that case, use the cursor keys to make selections. If direct touch is switched on, the screen mode is fi xed to wide, provided there is an item that can be selected for the DVD image. Select [] to display the touch keys. When an item was selected but the unit did not recognize which item was selected, the screen near the selected area is enlarged. If this occurs, select the item again. Use the cursor keys to select The cursor keys can be used to select menu items. 1Select [DIRECT TOUCH] from Short menu 2. The cursor keys are displayed. Select [DIRECT TOUCH] again to turn the direct touch function on. When the direct touch function is turned on, the cursor keys disappear. 2Use the cursor keys to select an item, then select [Enter].
