11 Before use • Read the following information on the recommended usage frequency for best skin care results. Warm makeup removal Less than 3 minutes once per day Brush cleansing Less than 1 minute once per day Silicone brush cleansing Less than 1 minute twice per week Excessive use will have an adverse effect on the skin. Please adjust the number of times used and usage time depending on the appearance of your skin. • Please remove accessories (necklaces, earrings, etc.) before use as they may get caught during use. • Tie hair or use a hairband or similar item to secure hair so that it does not get caught during use. Q&A Question Answer Can I use the appliance while taking a bath? You can use the appliance while taking a bath, excluding the AC adaptor. What facial cleansers can be used with this appliance? You can use any cream, gel, or liquid foaming facial cleanser. (Do not use handmade facial cleansers, facial cleansers containing coarse materials for scrubbing, or those used for exfoliation.) Question Answer What makeup removers can be used with this appliance? You can use whichever oil-, gel-, and cream-based type of makeup remover that works for your skin. (Do not use makeup removers containing coarse materials for scrubbing or those used for exfoliation.) How often does the soft brush need replacing? Approximately every 3 months if used once per day. How often does the silicone brush need replacing? Approximately every 6 months if used twice per week. How many times per day can I use the appliance? You can use the warm makeup removal and brush cleansing modes once per day. Use the silicone brush cleansing mode twice per week. Is it OK if the inside of the socket cover gets wet?The socket is waterproof for normal usage. Before charging, however, wipe off any water in the socket. Can I also use this on my neck? 12 English How to use • Make sure the warming makeup removal plate is not cracked or dirty before use. • The appliance will not operate when connected to the AC adaptor. The AC adaptor is used only for charging the appliance. Warm makeup removal The warming makeup removal plate loosens and easily removes makeup. 1 1Press the warming makeup removal switch and select the desired temperature. Warming makeup removal plate temperature options Low (): approx. 43 °C (109 °F) High (): approx. 48 °C (118 °F) • Pressing the warming makeup removal switch cycles through the “Power OFF” “Low ()” “High ()” options. • The temperature is always set to “Low ( )” when the power is turned on. • It is recommended to use the appliance at the “Low ( )” setting when fi rst beginning use. Notes • The warming makeup removal mode indicator fl ashes while warming up. • It takes approximately 30 seconds for the appliance to reach its usable temperature. (Assuming a room temperature of 25 °C (75 °F)) • The warming makeup removal plate temperature varies depending on the usage environment. • Recommended ambient temperature for operation is 15 – 35 °C (59 - 95 °F). The appliance may not warm properly if used in environments outside the recommended temperature range. 2 2Apply makeup remover to your forehead, chin, and both cheeks. • You can also use the appliance with makeup remover applied directly to the warming makeup removal plate. 3 3Once the warming makeup removal mode indicator starts glowing, apply the warming makeup removal plate to your skin and begin to move it around your face. • Lightly apply the warming makeup removal plate to your skin and glide around your face in a circular motion from the inside out. Leave areas with heavy makeup such as around eyes as the last step to prevent the makeup from spreading. Be particularly gentle when using the appliance around the eyes. Do not try to force the warming makeup removal plate into hard-to- reach areas. Use your hands to apply makeup remover to these areas. 4 4After the makeup remover has loosened the makeup, press the warming makeup removal switch to turn off the power. • Make sure to clean the appliance with a tissue or wash with water after every use. 13 English Brush cleansing Remove dead skin and dirt from pores with the gentle fi ne brush and microfoam. If you are still wearing makeup, fi rst remove the makeup using the warm makeup removal mode or remove eye makeup with your hands. 1 1Attach the soft brush by pressing it until it clicks into place. 2 2Open the facial cleanser compartment and add facial cleanser. Add the recommended amount as indicated on your facial cleanser product (the amount you normally use). Notes • Use a foaming facial cleanser. • Depending on the type of facial cleanser (sticky facial cleansers, etc.) or the amount used, the facial cleanser may not mix properly and clog the appliance. In rare cases, power to the appliance may be interrupted. (See page 16.) • The quality of foam varies depending on the type of facial cleanser. Adjust to the recommended amount as indicated on your facial cleanser product. • Do not add anything other than facial cleanser into this appliance. (Doing so may cause malfunction.) • If you are using a non-foaming type facial cleanser, moisten the brush and your face with water and apply the facial cleanser directly onto your skin. 3 3Fill the measuring cap with water (approximately 4 mL) and pour into the center of the brush.4 mL 4 4Press the facial cleanse switch and select a mode. Foam starts to dispense approximately 5 seconds after turning on the appliance. • Pressing the facial cleanse switch cycles through the “Power OFF” “Normal ()” “Soft ()” options. • The mode is always set to “Normal ()” when the power is turned on. • Wash off any excess facial cleanser on your hands. • Add more water if the amount of foam is insuffi cient. 5 5Wash your face.• Do not apply the appliance to the same area for extended periods of time. • Wash your face in 3 sections as illustrated in the following diagram for approximately 20 seconds per section. • You can use this appliance on your neck and upper chest, but do not apply it to your throat. • Recommended ambient temperature for operation is 5 – 35 °C (41 - 95 °F). The appliance might not be usable outside of the recommended temperature range. Notifi cation timer feature Notifi es you of the recommended cleansing time by pulsing every 20 seconds. 14 Do not press the bristles of the soft brush into your skin. Lightly apply the brush to your skin so that the bristles just touch the skin and then wash your face in a circular motion. If you feel irritation even if you are not pressing the brush into the skin, stop using the brush. • Do not use the brush around your eyes. 6 6After you have finished washing your face, press the facial cleanse switch to turn off the power. • Make sure to wash the appliance after use. (See page 15.) • The power will be automatically turned off approximately 1 minute after the power is turned on. Silicone brush cleansing We recommend this option for rough or clogged areas such as the nose and chin. After completing the brush cleansing process, continue to use this option while the foam is still on your skin. 1 1Replace the soft brush with the silicone brush. 2 2Press the facial cleanse switch and select a mode.• Wash off any excess facial cleanser on your hands. 3 3Wash your face. Do not press the bristles of the silicone brush into your skin. Lightly apply the brush to your skin so that the bristles just touch the skin and then wash your face in a circular motion. • Wash your nose and chin for approximately 20 seconds each.• Do not use the brush around your eyes. • Do not apply the appliance to the same area for extended periods of time. 4 4After you have finished washing your face, press the facial cleanse switch to turn off the power. • Make sure to wash the appliance after use. 15 Cleaning 1 1Rinse foam off the brush with water and then remove. 2 2Open the facial cleanser compartment cover, begin pouring water into the foam dispenser, and then press the facial cleanse switch to rinse. • If a significant amount of facial cleanser remains, the power may turn off a few seconds after pressing the facial cleanse switch or may not operate smoothly. In such cases, use warm water to clean and remove the excess cleanser. 3 3Press the facial cleanse switch to turn off the power. 4 4Manually clean the brushes, warming makeup removal plate, and around the facial cleanser compartment. Clean the facial cleanser compartment thoroughly as facial cleanser tends to accumulate in this area. • If you become concerned about dirt accumulating in the brush, apply facial cleanser to the brush and wash it by hand. • Please note that the bristle portion of the silicone brush may come off if pulled strongly. • Please reattach the silicone part if it becomes detached. 5 5Shake the main body to remove excess water. 6 6Lightly wipe with a towel or similar and place on the stand to dry. • Leave the facial cleanser compartment cover open to dry. • Place the brush and measuring cap at the rear of the stand. • After cleaning, store in a location with low humidity. You did not remove makeup before using the soft brush, or you are using facial cleanser that does not remove makeup well. If you are still wearing makeup, first remove the makeup using the warm makeup removal mode or remove eye makeup with your hands. Using a facial cleanser designed to remove makeup is also more effective when using the soft brush. The quality or quantity of foam is poor. There is too much or too little water.Use the measuring cap to fill the correct amount of water. There is too much or too little facial cleanser.Adjust the amount of facial cleanser. You are using a facial cleanser that does not foam well when using the recommended amount.Check the type of facial cleanser used. (See page 11.) The warming makeup removal plate does not warm. The appliance was used outside of the recommended usage temperature range.Use the appliance at the recommended usage temperature (15 – 35 °C (59 - 95 °F)). If you use the silicone brush after brush cleansing, the rotation will be slow.Too much foam has accumulated in the facial cleanser compartment.Rinse the facial cleanser compartment with water.
