Maintenance UtilityTOSHIBA Maintenance Utility is provided to
erase the hard disk drive. This utility allows you
to delete all data and partitions, and also
overwrite all sectors on the hard disk drive.
If there is an external hard disk drive connected
to your computer, it can also be erased.
However, if you do not want to delete the data
from the external hard disk drive, disconnect it
from your computer.
To access this utility:
1. Go to  Settings and click  Update & security
-> Recovery .

User PasswordTo start the utility, click the following items under  TOSHIBA group in All 
apps :
Password Utility -> User Password
User authentication might be required to validate user rights when using
TOSHIBA Password Utility to delete or change passwords, and so on.

Click this button to register a password. After a password is set, you
are prompted to enter it when you start the computer.
