AccessCodes
Anaccesscodeisasequenceofnumbersthatisrequiredtoarmordisarmthesecuritysystem,andto
accessadvancedsecuritysystemfunctionslikebypassingzones.Ifdesired,auniqueaccesscodecanbe
createdforeachpersonwhowillusethesecuritysystem,sothathistoryandalertswillindicatewhich
accesscodewasusedtoarmordisarmthesystem.
AccessCodeTypes
Thesecuritysystemsupportsseveraldifferenttypesofaccesscodes.Eachtypeoffersaspecificlevelof
accessandcapabilities.Thesearethemostcommontypes:
MasterCode:Themainaccesscodeforyoursecuritysystem.Inadditiontobeingabletoperform
basicfunctionslikearminganddisarmingthesite,themasteraccesscodeisrequiredformore
advancedfunctionslikeadding,editing,ordeletingotheraccesscodes,andchangingcertainsys-
temsettings.
StandardCodes:Accesscodesforadditionalusers.Thesecodesarmanddisarmthesecurity
panel,buttheycannotperformmoreadvancedfunctionslikeadding,editing,ordeletingaccess
codes.Generally,yougivethesecodestofamilymembersandserviceworkers.Eachaccesscode
canbeassignedauniquename,sothathistorywillshowwhichaccesscodewasusedforarming
ordisarming.
Yoursecuritysystemmayalsosupportspecialtypesofstandardcodes.Forexample,anArmOnly
Code,ifavailable,canonlybeusedtoarmthesystem,butnottodisarmit.ABabysitterCode,if
available,cannotbeusedtodisarmthesystemunlessitwasalsousedtoarmthesystem.
DuressCode:Aspecialaccesscodetobeusedinemergency/duresssituationsonly.Whenused,
inadditiontoperformingtherequestedfunctiononthesecuritysystem,aspecialtypeofsilent
alarmisalsogenerated.Forexample,ifanintrudersurprisesyouwhenyouarearrivinghomeand
forcesyoutoenterthehomeanddisarmthesecuritysystem,youcanentertheduresscode
insteadofyourusualaccesscodetodisarmthesecuritysystemandsendasilentalarmtothecen-
tralmonitoringstationthatindicatesthatyouareunderduress.Totheintruder,itlookslikeyou
areenteringthenormalcodetodisarmthesystem,butthecentralmonitoringstationwillnotify
theauthoritiesthatyouareunderduress,andtheywillrespondasarobberyinprogress.The
duressalarmallowsyoutoobeyyourcaptorwhilestillsendingforhelp.
Inmoreadvancedsecuritysystems,youmayalsoencounterotheraccesscodetypes,suchasSupervisor
CodesorPartitionMasterCodes.Theseareassociatedwiththeadvancedfunctionsofthesecuritysystem,
suchasmultiplepartitionsupport.Consulttheuserguideforyoursecuritysystemforfurtherdetailsabout
whenandhowtousethesetypesofaccesscodes.

ManagingAccessCodes
WhenyoutouchAccessCodesontheSecurityscreen,thenumerickeypadappears,andyoumustenter
themasteraccesscode.WhenyoutouchOK,theAccessCodesscreenappears.
Note:Whenthisscreenisdisplayed,yoursecuritysystemgoesintouserprogrammingmode.Ifthe
touchscreenisidle(thatis,youdonottouchityfforseveralminutes,itautomaticallyexitsuser
programmingmodeandreturnstotheSettingsscreen.Thiscanhappenwhenyouareonthis
screenoranyoftheotherscreensyoucangettofromthisscreen.
Onthisscreen,youcantouch:
Addtoaddanadditionalaccesscodewithauniquename.Thisisusefulifyouwanttokeeptrack
ofwhenspecificpeoplearmanddisarmthesystem.
Anyaccesscodeonthelisttochangethenameorcodeforthataccesscode,ortodeletethat
accesscode.
Note:Accesscodesaredifferentthantheusernameandpasswordthatusersentertosignintothe
webormobileportals.

alphakeyboard,andtouchOK.

Note:Thecodemustbeunique.Itcannotbethesameasanyothercode,includingthe

4.TouchTouchtoVerifyCode,enterthenewaccesscodeagain,andtouchOK.
5.TouchStandardtoselectadifferentaccesscodetype,ifyouarenotaddingaStandardaccess
code.
6.TouchAddAccessCode.
YoureturntotheAccessCodesscreen,andthenewuser'snameappearsonthelist.
Tochangeanaccesscode:
1.OntheAccessCodesscreen,touchthenameoftheaccesscodethatyouwanttochange.

Note:Thecodemustbeunique.Itcannotbethesameasanyothercode,includingthe
masteraccesscode.
4.TouchChangeAccessCodetosaveyourchanges.
Amessageconfirmsthattheaccesscodewaschanged.
5.TouchOK.
Todeleteanaccesscode: 
1.OntheAccessCodesscreen,touchthenameoftheaccesscodetodelete.
Note:YoucannotdeletetheMasterAccessCode.
TheChangeAccessCodescreenappears.
2.TouchDeleteAccessCode.
Amessageconfirmsthattheaccesscodewasdeleted.
3.TouchOK.
YoureturntotheAccessCodesscreen,andthedeletedaccesscodenolongerappearsonthelist.
Theaccesscodecannolongerbeusedtoarmordisarmthepanelfromanytouchscreenor
securitysystemkeypad.

Advanced
WhenyoutouchAdvancedontheSecurityscreen,theSecurityPanelscreenappears.
Note:Forsomesecuritypanels,theClearAlarmEventsandInstallerbuttonsarenotavailable.
Thisscreenallowsyoutochangeanyofthefollowingsettings:
UpdateSecurityPanelTime:Thetouchscreenobtainsthecorrecttimefromyournetwork.The
securitypanel'stime,however,candrift.Ifyounoticethatthesecuritypanel'stimeisincorrect,you
cantouchUpdateSecurityPanelTimeonthisscreentoupdateittothetouchscreen'stime.A
messagepromptsyoutoenterthemasteraccesscode,andthenthetouchscreenperformsthe
updateandreturnsyoutotheSecurityPanelscreen.
Note:Thisoptionisnotavailableforallsecuritypanels.
ClearAlarmEvents:Whenthereareunclearedalarmevents,ablinkingasterisk(*yfappearstotheleft
ofthestandardtextonthesecuritypanelorwiredkeypaddisplay.WhenyoutouchClearAlarm
Events,itclearsthesecuritypanel'salarmhistory,andtheblinkingasteriskdisappears.
Note:Thisoptionisnotavailableforallsecuritypanels.
HomeScreenEmergencyButton:TheEmergencybuttonontheHomescreenallowsyouto
quicklysendapaniccodetothecentralmonitoringstationifthereisanemergencysituation.You
canshoworhidetheEmergencybutton,ifdesired.Thecurrentsettingappearsonthisscreen.
TouchHomeScreenEmergencyButtontochangethesetting.Enterthemastercode,andtouch
OK.YoureturntotheSecurityscreen,andthenewsettingappears.WhenyoureturntotheHome
screen,thenewsettingisineffect.

TheScreenSaverfeatureallowsyoutoautomaticallyplayoneormorewidgetsorothertouchscreen
featureswhenthetouchscreenisnotinuse.
WhentheScreenSaverfeatureisabouttostart,acount-downtimerappearsatthetopofthescreenabove
thetime,indicatinghowmuchtimeisleftbeforetheScreenSaverstarts.
Asimilarcount-downtimerindicateshowmuchtimeisleftbeforethenextwidgetstartsplaying,ifyou
selectmorethanonewidgetfortheScreenSaverfeature.
TheScreenSaverbehaveslikeacomputerscreensaver,butthewidgetsplayingare"live".Forexample,if
youselectacameraasoneofyourScreenSaverwidgets,thatcameraplayslivevideo.
Inaddition,youcaninteractwiththeScreenSaverwidgetswhiletheyareplayingintheScreenSaver
feature.Forexample,ifyouselectTrafficasoneofyourScreenSaverwidgets,youcantouchthescreen
whiletheTrafficwidgetisplayingtodisplaythetrafficcontrols,selectanewlocation,andviewthetrafficin
thatlocation.
WhenyoustoptouchingthescreentointeractwithaScreenSaverwidget,afterthespecifiedidleperiod,
theScreenSavercontinuesplayingwhereitleftoff.So,forexample,ifyourScreenSaverlistincludes
Photos,Traffic,andCamera(inthatorderyffortwominuteseach,andyouinteractwiththeTrafficwidget
whileitisplaying,theScreenSaverfeatureissuspended.Whenyoustopinteractingwiththetouch
screen,theScreenSaverstartsplayingtheTrafficwidgetagainforthefullspecifiedperiodoftime(inthis
example,twominutesyfandthencontinuesbyplayingtheCameraswidgetnext,andsoon.
WhenyoutouchScreenSaver,theScreenSaverscreenappears.
Onthisscreen,youcan:
TouchScreenSaverListtoselectthewidgetstoplaywhenScreenSaverstarts.
