PRATICAL HINTSHow to get really good wash results■ 
Before placing the dishes in the dishwasher, remove any remainingfood (bones, shells, pieces of meat orvegetables, coffee grounds, skin of fruit,cigarette ash, tooth picks etc. to avoidblocking the filters, water outlet andwashing arm nozzles. 
■ 
Try not to rinse the dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. 
■ 
If saucepans and oven dishes are encrusted with the remains of burnt orroast food, it is advisable to leave themto soak before washing. 
■ 
Place the dishes face downwards. 
■ 
Try to place the dishes in such a way that they are not touching one another.If they are loaded properly you will getbetter results. 
■ 
After loading the dishes check that the washing arms can rotate freely. 
■ 
Pans and other dishes that have particularly stubborn food particles orremnants of burnt food should be left tosoak in water with dishwasherdetergent. 
■ 
To wash silver properly: a) 
rinse the silver immediately after use, especially if it has been used formayonnaise, 
eggs, fish etc.; 
b)  
do not sprinkle detergent onto it; 
c) 
keep it separate from other metals.
How to make savings■
If you want the dishwasher to give a complete wash, place the dishes in thedishwasher at the end of each meal andif necessary turn on the COLD RINSEcycle to soften the food remains andremove bigger particles of food from thenew load of dishes. When the dishwasher is full start thecomplete wash cycle programme.

If the dishes are not very dirty or if the baskets are not very full select anECONOMY programme, following theinstructions in the program list.What not to wash■ 
It should be remembered that not all dishes are suitable for washing in adishwasher.We advise against usingthe dishwasher to wash items inthermoplastic, cutlery with wooden orplastic handles, saucepans withwooden handles, items in aluminium,crystal, leaded glass unless otherwisestated.

Certain decorations may fade. It is therefore a good idea before loading thewhole batch to wash just one of theitems first so as to be sure that otherslike it will not fade. 
■ 
It is a good idea not to put silver cutlery with non-stainless steel handles intothe dishwasher as there could be achemical reaction between them. IMPORTANT When buying new crockery orcutlery  
always make sure that they are 
suitable for washing in a  dishwasher.Useful hints■ 
In order to avoid any dripping from the top rack, remove the lower rack first. 
■ 
If the dishes are to be left in the machine for some time, leave the doorajar, to let some air circulate and toimprove the drying performance. 
WHEN CYCLE IS FINISHEDAfter every wash it is essential to turn offwater supply and to switch off the machineby pressing the On/Off button to the offposition.  If the machine is not going to be used for some time, it is advisable to follow theserules: 1. 
do an empty wash with detergent in order to clean the machine of any deposits; 
2. 
pull out the electric plug; 
3. 
turn off the water tap; 
4. 
fill the rinse aid container;  
5. 
Ieave the door ajar; 
6. 
keep the inside of the machine clean; 
7. 
If the machine is left in places where the temperature is below 0°C any water leftinside the pipes may freeze. Wait untilthe temperature rises above zero andthen wait for about 24 hours beforestarting up the dishwasher.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE■ To clean the dishwasher outside, do not use solvents (degreasing action) neitherabrasives, but only a cloth soaked withwater. ■ The dishwasher does not require special maintenance, because the tank isself-cleaning.  ■ Regularly wipe the door gasket with a damp cloth to remove any food remainsor rinse aid.  ■ It is advisable to remove limestone deposits or dirt periodically, by doing anempty wash; pour a glass of vinegar onthe bottom of the tank and select thelight wash. ■ If, in spite of the routine cleaning of the filters, you notice that the dishes or pansare not properly washed or rinsed, checkthat all the spray heads on the rotorarms  
(fig. A “5”)
are clear. 
If they are blocked, clean them in the following way: 1. to remove the upper rotor arm, turn it until it lines up with the stop markedby the arrow  
(fig. 1)
. Push it upwards 
(fig. 1b) 
and, keeping it pushed in, 
unscrew it in a clockwise direction(to reassemble it repeat the sameoperation, but turn it anticlockwise).The lower rotor arm can be removedsimply by pulling it upwards  
(fig. 2)

2. wash the rotor arms under a jet of water to clear any blockage in the sprayheads; 3. when you have finished, refit the rotor arms in the same position, rememberingto re-align the arrow and screw intoposition. ■ Both the door lining and the tank lining are in stainless steel; however, shouldspots caused by oxidation occur, this isprobably due to a high level of iron saltspresents in the water.  ■ The spots can be removed with a mild abrasive agent; never use chlorinebased materials, steel wool, etc.

PROGRAMME SELECTION  AND SPECIAL FUNCTIONS(Use in conjunction with programme guide)  IMPORTANT The dishwasher has two very practicalfunctions: -  the recommended programme (which is set in the factory and isideal for full-load daily use)  for quickand accurate selection;  - the memory function which saves the last programme used, so that ifyou regularly use the same washingcycle, you do not have to re-set theprogramme every time, therebysaving time and effort. DEGREE OF SOILING button (VARIO POWER) This button offers a choice of three levels of wash intensity, according to how dirty thedishes are. The default setting for thisfunction is the intermediate one (centralindicator light on).To set the intensity of wash, press the buttonto increase (top indicator light) or reduce(lower indicator light) this will modify thewash time and the wash temperature.The combination of 3 different wash intensitywith the four main wash programmes(indicated on the control panel) enable tohave up to 12 different wash cycles.IMPORTANTEWhen the dishwasher is switched on,the DEGREE OF SOILING last usedwill be indicated.  If a programme hasbeen cancelled while in process, theDEGREE OF SOILING setting willreturn to intermediate (central indicatorlight on).Programme settings■ Open the door and place the dirty dishes inside the appliance.  ■ Press the

Changing a running programmeProceed as follows to change or cancel a running program: ■ Hold the

WARNING!

Fault signals If malfunctions or faults occur when a programme is running the indicator lightthat corresponds to the selected cyclewill flash rapidly and the alarm sounds.In this event, turn the dishwasher off bypressing the

After checking to make sure the waterinlet hose tap is open, that the drainhose is not bent and that the siphon orfilters are not clogged, set the selectedprogramme again. If the anomaly persists, contact CustomerService Department. IMPORTANT This dishwasher is equipped with ananti-overflow safety device which willautomatically discharge any excesswater should a problem occur. 
WARNING!

The water-stop device protects against water damages caused by leaks on the fill hose which could develop due to natural ageing   of the hose. Should any of the situations occur and should the machine give a bad wash performance, 
it is necessary to remove the deposits from the dishes by hand since the final drying cycle hardens thedeposits which a second wash in the machine would not be able to remove. If the malfunction continues contact a Service Centre quoting the serial number of the dishwasher. This is found on the plaque on the inside of the dishwasher door at the top or on the guarantee. This information will make it possible to take more effective action more quickly. The manufacturers decline any responsibility for any printing mistakes in this instruction booklet. Alimentación hidráulicaIMPORTANTE El aparado debe ser conectado a lared idraulica sólo con los nuevostubos de carga disponibles endotación. Los viejos tubos de cargano tienen que ser reutilizados. ■ 
Los tubos de carga y descarga pueden ser orientados indistintamente hacia laderecha o la izquierda. IMPORTANTE El lavavajillas puede ser conectado a lainstalación de agua fría o caliente,siempre que ésta no supere a los 60°C. ■ La presíon hidráulica debe estar comprendida entre un mínimo de 0,08MPa y un máximo de 0,8 MPa. Parapresiones inferiores diríjarse al Centrode Asistencia. ■ Es necesario un grifo en el extremo del tubo de carga para aislar la máquina dela red cuando no está en funcionamiento(fig. 1 B). ■ El lavavajillas está dotado de un tubo para la toma de agua que acaba en uncodo de 3/4

■ Si la máquina va a ser conectada a una nueva instalación o a una instalaciónque ha estado inutilizada por largotiempo, es aconsejable dejar correr elagua algunos minutos antes de colocarel tubo de entrada de agua. De estamanera, se evitará que los residuosmateriales o de óxido depositados en latubería obturen el filtro de entrada agua.

INSTALACION(NOTAS TÉCNICAS)■ Después del desembalaje, proceder a la regulación en altura del lavavajillas.Para un correcto funcionamiento esimportante que el  lavavajillas esté biennivelado, regulando los pies de formaque una eventual inclinación del aparatono supere los 2 grados. ■ En caso de que fuera necesario transportar manualmente la máquinadesembalada, no coger la puerta por laparte inferior, proceder como en lafigura; abrir ligeramente la puerta yelevar la máquina cogiéndola por laparte superior. IMPORTANTE Si se va a instalar el aparato sobreuna alfombra o moqueta, es necesariotener cuidado para evitar que seobstruyan las rejillas de ventilaciónsituadas en la base del lavavajillas. Asegurese de poder acceder al enchufe del aparato incluso despues de lainstalacion. 
Alimentación eléctrica El aparato cumple las normas de seguridadde la CEE y está provisto de clavija tripolarque asegura su completa puesta a tierra. Antes de conectar eléctricamente el lavavajillas, verificar: 1. 
que la toma tenga una correcta conexión a tierra; 
2. 
que la capacidad amperimétrica del contador eléctrico sea apta para laabsorción indicada en los datos de laplaca del lavavajillas. 
ATENCIÓN! 
La completa seguridad dependetambién de la correcta puesta a tierrade la instalación eléctrica de la casa. La falta de una buena instalación puede provocar una leve difusión decorriente a través de las partes metálicasdel lavavajillas debido a la presenciadel filtro anti radiointerferencias. La firma fabricante no se responsabiliza de posibles daños a personas o cosas,producidos por la falta de conexión dela toma de tierra.

5INSTALACIÓN EN COCINAS MODULARESAcoplamiento■ El lavavajillas tiene la altura modular de 85 cm y por consiguiente puede seracoplado a los muebles de las modernascocinas modulares de análoga altura.Para una perfecta alineación, maniobraren los pies regulables. ■ La tapa superior es de laminado de alta resistencia que puede utilizarse sinninguna particular precaución ya que esresistente al calor, a la abrasión y esanti-manchas

Apertura de la puertaIntroducir la mano en la cavidad de apertura y tirar. Si la puerta se abre durante elfuncionamiento de la máquina, un sistemade seguridad eléctrico hace que todas lasfunciones se interrumpan automáticamente. IMPORTANTE Evitar abrir la puerta del lavavajillasmientras éste funcione.
Para cerrar la puertaIntroducir los cestos. Verificar que todas las aspas de lavadopuedan girar y no hayan cubiertos,cacerolas o platos que impidan su rotación. Cerrar la puerta y presionar con fuerzahasta el cierre del dispositivo de seguridad.Encastre (Para su colocación debajo de laencimera) ■ 
Las cocinas modulares más modernas tienen un plano de trabajo único, bajo elque son encastrados los muebles y loselectrodomésticos. En este caso bastaquitar la tapa superior, sacando lostornillos que se encuentran bajo elmismo en la parte posterior 
(fig. 6a)
. 
IMPORTANTE Después de haber quitado el planode trabajo, los tornillos HAN de serreposicionados en su sede (fig. 6b). ■ 
La altura se reduce de esta forma a 82 cm, tal como está previsto enlas Normas Internacionales (ISO) y ellavavajillas se encastra perfectamentebajo el plano contínuo de la cocina(fig. 7)

Instalación salida de agua■ Colocar el tubo en la instalación de salida, evitando pliegues o arrugas

■ El tubo de desague fijo debe tener un diámetro interior de al menos 4 cm, ydebe estar colocado a una altura mínimade 40 cm.  ■ Se recomienda colocar un sifón contra malos olores

■ Si fuera necesario, se puede alargar el tubo de salida hasta 2,5 m, peromanteniéndolo siempre a una alturamáxima de 85 cm del suelo. Para tal fincontactar con el Centro de AsistenciaTécnica. 
■ La extremidad curvada del tubo puede ser apoyada en el borde de un lavadero,pero no debe permanecer inmerso enel agua, para evitar efectos de sifóndurante el lavado

En el caso de una instalación bajo un plano continuo, la curva debe ser fijadainmediatamente debajo del citado plano,en el punto más alto posible

■ Al instalar la máquina, debe controlarse que los tubos de carga y descarga noestén doblados.

CARGAR LA SAL■ En la parte inferior de la máquina esta situado el depósito de la sal. La sal sirve para regenerar el aparatodescalcificador. ■ Es importante utilizar exclusivamente sal específico para lavavajillas, otros tipos desal contienen sensibles porcentajes desustancias insolubles que con el tiempopodrían hacer ineficiente la instalación dedescalcificación. ■ Para la introducción de la sal, desenroscar el tapón del depósito que se encuentraen la parte inferior. Después llenar eldepósito. ■ Durante esta operación saldrá un poco de agua, aun así continue echando salhasta llenarlo. Una vez lleno, limpiar larosca de granos de sal y roscar eltapón. ■ Se aconseja que, después del rellenado, se realice un ciclo de lavado completo,o también el programa “REMOJOFRÍO”.El contenedor tiene una capacidad decerca de 1,5-1,8 kg de sal y, parauna eficaz utilización del aparato, esnecesario rellenarlo periódicamentesegún la regulación del nivel dedescalcificación elegido.
IMPORTANTEDespués de haber instalado ellavavajillas, y haber llenado el depósitode sal, es necesario añadir agua h

llenar completamente el deposito.

SISTEMA DE REGULACIÓN DE LA DESCALCIFICACIÓNDEL AGUAEl agua contiene de forma variable, según la localidad, sales calcáreas y mineralesque se depositan en la vajilla dejandomanchas blanquecinas. Cuanto más elevado sea el  contenido deestas sales, mayor es la dureza del agua. El lavavajillas contiene un descalcificador que, utilizando sales regenerantesespeciales para lavavajillas, permite lavarla vajilla con agua sin agentes clacáreos. Puede solicitar el grado de dureza de su agua al Ente distribuidor de su zona.Regulación descalcificación del agua con el descalcificadorEl descalcificador puede tratar agua con una dureza hasta 90°fH (grados franceses)50°dH (grados alemanes) a través de6 niveles de regulación. En la siguiente tabla encontrará la correspondencia entre la dureza del aguade la red a tratar y el nivel de regulacióndel descalcificador.
