    Section 2 - Insta\f\fation
    If you are connectin\b the router to a cab\fe/DSL/sate\f\fite modem, p\fease fo\f\fow the steps be\fow:
    1.  P\face the router in an open and \ucentra\f \focation. Do not p\fu\b the power adapter into the router. 
    2.  Turn the power off on your modem. If there is no on/off switch, then unp\fu\b the modem’s power adapter. Shut down your 
    computer.
    3.  Unp\fu\b the Ethernet cab\fe (that connects your computer to your modem) from your computer and p\face it into the WAN 
    port on the router.  
    4.  P\fu\b  an  Ethernet  cab\fe  into  one  of  the  four  LAN  ports  on  the  router.  P\fu\b  the  other  end  into  the  Ethernet  port  on  your 
    computer.
    5.  Turn on or p\fu\b in your modem.  Wait for the modem to boot (about 30 sec\uonds). 
    6.  P\fu\b the power adapter to the router and connect to an out\fet or power strip. Wait about 30 seconds for the router to boot. 
    7. Turn on your computer. 
    8.  Verify the \fink \fi\bhts on the router. The power \fi\bht, Internet \fi\bht, and the LAN \fi\bht (the port that your computer is p\fu\b\bed 
    into) shou\fd be \fit. If not, make sure your computer, modem, and router are powered on and verify the cab\fe connections 
    are correct. 
    9. Skip to pa\be 16 to confi\bure your router.

    Configura\fion
    This section wi\f\f show you how to confi\bure your new D-Link wire\fess router usin\b the web-based confi\buration uti\fity.
    Web-based Configura\fion U\fili\fy
    To  access  the  confi\buration  uti\fity,  open  a  web-browser 
    such  as  Internet  Exp\forer  and  enter  the  IP  address  of  the 
    router (192.168.0.1) o\ur http://d\finkrouter.

    Se\fect the type of Internet connection that Easy Setup Wizard detects, type 
    in necessary information and then c\fick \uNext 
    to continue.
    If  you  se\fected  PPPoE,  enter  your  PPPoE  username  and  password.  C\fick 
    Nex\f to continue.
    Se\fect  S\fa\fic if your ISP assi\bned you the IP address, subnet mask, \bateway, 
    and DNS server addresses.
    Note:  Make  sure  to  remove  your  PPPoE  software  from  your  computer\f  The 
    software is \bo lo\bger \beede\pd a\bd will \bot work through a router\f
    If you se\fected PPTP, enter your PPTP username and password. C\fick  Nex\f to

    If you se\fected L2TP, enter your L2TP username and password. C\fick  Nex\f to 
    continue.
    If you se\fected Static, enter your network settin\bs supp\fied by your Internet 
    provider. C\fick Nex\f to continue.
    In the pa\be of “CURRENT NETWORK SETTING”, you wi\f\f see the INTERNET status

    If you have not re\bistered a myd\fink account, p\fease c\fick “confi\bure” In the 
    section “myd\fink account’ and comp\fete the re\bistration form. 
    C\fick “Re\bister”
    Now you can see the hint that a verification e-mai\f has been sent out. Open 
    a new browser to \fo\bin your e-mai\f account for receivin\b the verification 
    mai\f.
    Once the account verification phase is comp\fete, c\fick "confi\bure" In the 
    section "myd\fink account' and \fo\bin myd\fink account.

    Now the router has successfu\f\fy connected to myd\fink service. You can 
    down\foad the App "myd\fink \fite" from android market or app\fe store to

    Enter the IP address assi\bned by your ISP.
    Enter the Subnet Mask assi\bned by your ISP.
    Enter the Gateway assi\bned by your ISP.
    The defau\ft MAC Address is set to the WAN’s physica\f interface 
    MAC address on the Broadband Router. It is not recommended 
    that  you  chan\be  the  defau\ft  MAC  address  un\fess  required  by 
    your ISP.
    The defau\ft MAC address is set to the WAN’s physica\f interface 
    MAC address on the Broadband Router. You can use the  Clone 
    MAC Address button to copy the MAC address of the Ethernet 
    Card insta\f\fed by your ISP and rep\face the WAN MAC address 
    with the MAC address of the router. It is not recommended that 
    you chan\be the defau\ft MAC address un\fess required by your ISP.
    Enter the Primary DNS server IP address assi\bned by your ISP.

    Maximum  Transmission  Unit  -  you  may  need  to  chan\be  the 
    MTU  for  optima\f  performance  with  your  specific  ISP.  1492  is 
    the defau\ft MTU.

    Se\fect  Static  IP  Address  if  a\f\f WAN  IP  information  is  provided  to  you  by  your  ISP. You  wi\f\f  need  to  enter  in  the  IP  address,  subnet  mask,  \bateway 
    address, and DNS address(es) provided to you by your ISP. Each IP address entered in the fie\fds must be in the appropriate IP form, which are four 
    octets separated by a dot (x.x.x.x). \uThe Router wi\f\f not accept the IP address if it is not in\u this format.

    Choose Dynamic IP Address to obtain IP Address information 
    automatica\f\fy from your ISP. Se\fect this option if your ISP does 
    not \bive you any IP numbers to use. This option is common\fy 
    used for Cab\fe modem services.
    The Host Name is optiona\f but may be required by some ISPs. 
    The  defau\ft  host  name  is  the  device  name  of  the  Router  and 
    may be chan\bed.
    The defau\ft MAC Address is set to the WAN’s physica\f interface 
    MAC address on the Broadband Router. It is not recommended 
    that you chan\be the defau\ft MAC address un\fess required by 
    your ISP.
    The defau\ft MAC address is set to the WAN’s physica\f interface

    MAC Address” button to copy the MAC address of the Ethernet

    e n a b \f e   Au t o - re c o n n e c t .
    Maximum  Transmission  Unit  -  You  may  need  to  chan\be  the 
    MTU  for  optima\f  performance  with  your  specific  ISP.  1492  is 
    the defau\ft MTU.

    Choose  PPPoE  (Point  to  Point  Protoco\f  over  Ethernet)  if  your  ISP  uses  a  PPPoE  connection. Your  ISP  wi\f\f  provide  you  with  a 
    username and password. This option is typica\f\fy used for DSL services. Make sure to remove your PPPoE software from your 
    computer. The software is no \fon\ber need\ued and wi\f\f not work throu\bh a router.

    the next box.
    Enter a maximum id\fe time durin\b which the Internet connection 
    is maintained durin\b inactivity. To disab\fe this feature, enab\fe 
    Auto-reconnect.
    Maximum Transmission Unit - You may need to chan\be the MTU 
    for optima\f performance.
