    [REDIAL ALL FAILED] All attempts to redial failed be-
    cause the destination line was 
    busy or no response was re-
    turned.
    Press any key to check the line 
    status of the destination, and re-
    try the transmission job.
    [MEMORY FULL] Image data has caused a memo-
    ry overflow during fax transmis-
    sion.• Remove the received data 
    that is saved in the memory.
    • Transmit a fax using the im-
    mediate transmission func-
    tion.

    [MEMORY FILE FULL] The maximum number of memo-

    receiving.Remove the received data that is 
    saved in the memory.
    [CANNOT CONNECT] An error has occurred during 
    connection with the server.Reconfigure network settings in 
    the Utility screen. If this error re-
    curs after a communication has 
    restarted, contact your network 
    administrator.
    [CANNOT GET IP] Cannot obtain the IP address. Respecify the IP address in the 
    Utility screen. If this error recurs 
    after a communication has re-
    started, contact your network 
    administrator.
    [WRONG PASSWORD] Cannot connect to the POP3 
    server due to entry of an incor-
    rect password.Specify the correct POP3 pass-
    word in the Utility screen. If this 
    error recurs after a communica-
    tion has restarted, contact your 
    network administrator.
    [RECEIVE WRONG DATA] Data that cannot be printed on 
    this machine was received. (The 
    attached file is not of the TIFF-F 
    type.)Ask the sender to send a TIFF-F 
    file or correct type of text file.
    [SERVER  MEMORY  FULL] A memory overflow has occurred 
    in the transmission server during 
    Internet fax transmission.Delete the transmission data that 
    is saved in the memory.
    Error code: 0027 This machine is currently ac-
    cessing the administrator mode 
    of PageScope Web Connec-
    tion, LSU, or RSD.• Log out from PageScope 
    Web Connection.
    • Disconnect the LSU.
    • If no operation is performed 
    for 600 seconds, the display 
    returns to the basic screen.
    • For an RSD communication, 
    consult your service repre-

    Is the Original Glass dirty? Wipe the Original Glass with a 
    soft, dry cloth.
    The original is scanned oblique-
    ly.Does the Lateral Guide match 
    the original width?Adjust the Lateral Guide to the 
    original width. For details, refer 
    to [Users Guide Copy Opera-
    tions].
    An unclear image has been re-
    ceived in a destination.Is the original positioned correct-
    ly?Position the original correctly. 
    For details, refer to [Users Guide 
    Copy Operations].
    Is the Original Glass dirty? Wipe the Original Glass with a 
    soft, dry cloth.
    Is the original text too faint? Specify the scanning density.

    Is there a problem on the line sta-
    tus or destination fax?Make a copy on this machine to 
    check the result. If a copy image 
    is clear, send the fax again.
    A blank image has been re-

    The received image is not clear. Is the specified paper being

    Is the paper damp? Replace with new paper.
    Is toner sufficient? Install a new Toner Bottle. For

    Is there a problem with a destina-
    tion fax machine?Make a copy on this machine to 
    check the result. If a copy image 
    is clear, ask the sender to send 
    the fax again.
    Blank paper is received. Is toner sufficient? Install a new Toner Bottle. For

    tions].
    Does the sender load the origi-
    nal, turning it over?Check with the sender.

    11.2 LSU
    11.2.1 What is LSU?
    LSU stands for Local Setup for Utility. If a computer with this application installed is connected to this ma-
    chine, you can change the settings of this machine or view the counter or machine conditions.
    LSU supports the following functions.
    -Saving the information registered in the one-touch dial, speed dial, or group dial of this machine, in a 
    computer
    -Changing the information registered in the one-touch dial, speed dial, or group dial of this machine
    -Configuring Utility settings of this machine
    -Viewing the total counter
    -Viewing the configuration page
    11.2.2 LSU operating environment
    To install LSU in a computer, the following conditions are required.
    Connection interface
    -USB 2.0 interface, USB cable
    Tips
    -Use a type A (4 pin, male) or type B (4 pin, male) USB cable. A USB cable measuring three meters or 
    less is recommended.
    11.2.3 Setup procedure
    Before using LSU, connect this machine to a computer, and install LSU in a computer.
    1Connect this machine to the computer.
    2Install the TWAIN driver and printer driver supplied with this machine.
    3Install LSU in the computer.

    11.2.4 Installing LSU
    Tips
    -Installing LSU to Windows Server 2003 requires the administrator authority.
    1Insert the LSU CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer.
    2Open the [LSU] folder on the CD-ROM, and double-click [LSUSetup.exe].
    3Select your model.
    4Select a language.
    5Click [Next], and perform the procedure as instructed in the dialog box.
    6When the message appears to indicate that LSU installation has been finished, click [Finish].
    This completes the LSU installation process.
