USAGE MENU
This menu is for information only, and provides an indication of total usage of the printer 
and the expected life left in its consumable items. This is particularly useful if you do not 
have a full set of replacement consumables to hand and you need to know how soon you 
will need them.

REPLACING CONSUMABLE ITEMS
This section explains how to replace consumable items when due. As a guide, the life 
expectancy of these items is:
TONER:
STARTER CARTRIDGES:
The machine is shipped with sufficient Black, Cyan, Magenta & Yellow toner for 1,000 
A4 pages, of which 500 A4 pages of toner are used to initially charge the image drum 
(500 A4 pages remaining at 5% coverage).
REPLACEMENT CARTRIDGES:
Replacement cartridges are available in Standard capacity (1,500 A4...

CONSUMABLE ORDER DETAILS
* Average life: 20% pages at continuous print, 50% pages at 3 pages per job and 30% pages at 1 page 
per job.
For the protection of your product, and in order to ensure that you benefit from 
its full functionality, this model has been designed to operate only with genuine 
original toner cartridges. Any other toner cartridge may not operate at all, even 
if it is described as “compatible”, and if it does work, your products performance 
and print...

If you do spill any toner powder, lightly brush it off. If this is not enough, use a cool, damp 
cloth to remove any residue.
Do not use hot water, and never use solvents of any kind. They will make stains 
permanent.
1.Press the cover release and open the printer’s top cover fully.
2.Note the positions of the four cartridges.
(a) Pull the coloured toner release lever (1) on the cartridge to be replaced fully 
towards the front of the printer.

5.Remove the new cartridge from its box but leave its wrapping material in place for 
the moment.
(a) Gently shake the new cartridge from end to end several times to loosen and 
distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge.
(b) Remove the wrapping material and peel off the adhesive tape from the 
underside of the cartridge.
6.Clean the top surface of the image drum
7.Insert the left end of the cartridge into the top of the image drum unit

8.Press gently down on the cartridge to ensure that it is firmly seated, push the 
coloured lever (1) towards the rear of the printer. This will lock the cartridge into 
place and release toner into the image drum unit.
9.Finally, close the top cover and press down firmly at both sides so that the cover 
latches.
