This mode allows you to take pictures with a candle-lit atmosphere.

Select this mode when you want to take pictures of a pet such as a dog or a cat.
You can set your pet’s birthday and name.

When you move the camera to follow a subject moving in one direction such as a runner 
or car, the background becomes a blur and the subject stays focused. This effect is called 
“panning”. This mode allows you  to obtain this effect easier.

∫ Setting the shutter speed
Select a shutter speed of [15 SEC.] or [30 SEC.].

Press the shutter button fully to display the countdown screen. Do not move the camera after 
this screen is displayed. When countdown finishes, [PLEASE WAIT...] is displayed for the same 
length of time as the set shutter speed for signal processing.

The picture size is fixed to 2M (4:3).•The color of the frame displayed on the screen and the color of the frame around the actual 
image may differ, but this is not a malfunction.
This will record 220 frames/second, recording very fast movement that cannot be seen 
with the naked eye as a motion picture.

Pictures are recorded continuously while moving the camera horizontally, and two pictures 
selected automatically are combined to make a single 3D picture.

Recording Motion Picture with Manual Settings
(Creative Video Mode)
It is possible to manually change the aperture and shutter speed and record motion 
pictures. Switching the [EXPOSURE MODE] allows you to use settings such as those 
when mode dial is switched to [ ], [ ], [ ] and [ ].
Set the mode dial to [ ].
Press  3/4 to select the item and then press 
[MENU/SET].
Rotate the rear dial to change the settings.

•The settings of the aperture value, shutter speed and exposure compensation can be changed 
during motion picture recording. In this case, care must be taken because the sounds of such 
operations may be recorded.
•Manually setting a higher shutter speed may increase the noise on-screen due to the higher

Taking Pictures in Custom Mode
You can select one of your own custom settings saved with [CUST. SET MEM.] to suit the 
picture-taking conditions.
Set the mode dial to select the mode you wish to save, and then set 
the menu on the camera.
