In Program AE Mode, you can change the preset aperture value and shutter speed without
changing the exposure. This is called Program Shift.
You can make the background more blurred by decreasing the aperture value or record a
moving subject more dynamically by slowing the shutter speed when taking a picture in
    Program AE Mode.
1Press the shutter button halfway and display the aperture value and
shutter speed value on the screen.
2While the values are displayed (about
10 seconds), perform the Program Shift by
    rotating the rear dial.
•It will switch between Program Shift operation and
Exposure Compensation operation (P79) every time the
rear dial is pressed while the values are displayed.
•The Program Shift indication A appears on the screen when Program Shift is activated.•Program Shift is canceled if the camera is turned off or the rear dial is rotated until the
    Program Shift indication disappears.

changes with the aperture value or the shutter speed.
•Program Shift is canceled and the camera returns to normal Program AE Mode if more than
10 seconds pass after Program Shift is activated. However, the Program Shift setting is memorized.
•Depending on the brightness of the subj ect, Program Shift may not be activated.
•Program Shift is available in all ISO sensitivity settings except [ ].

    ∫ [Motion Deblur]
When [Motion Deblur] is set to [ON], [ ] is displayed on the recording screen as you press
the shutter button halfway. To reduce blur on the subject, the camera automatically sets an

    ∫ [iHandheld Nite Shot]
When [iHandheld Nite Shot] is set to [ON] and [ ] is detected while taking handheld night
shots, pictures of the night scenery will be taken at a high burst speed and composed into a

and noise, without using a tripod. If the camera is mounted on a tripod or other type of stand,
[ ] will not be detected.
    ∫ [iHDR]
When [iHDR] is set to [ON] and there is, for example, strong contrast between the background
and the subject, multiple still pictures are recorded with differing exposures and combined to
create a single still picture rich in gradation.
    •
When [ ] is displayed on the screen but not otherwise, the iHDR function will work automatically as
    required.
•In the case that a single picture is going to be composed from a burst, a message indicating that
multiple pictures are to be recorded appears on the screen and burst recording is carried out. Note
that burst recording will not take place if the camera determines that it can compensate for the
difference in contrast without composing the picture from a burst.
•In the case of composition from a burst, ghost images may appear if the subject was moving.
