    Set the display method for the screen information display.

    It is possible to display and r ecord the time at the travel des tination by selecting your home region 
    and the travel destination.
    1 Select the menu.
    ≥When the [HOME] (your home region) is not set, the message appe ars. Touch [ENTER] and 
    proceed to Step 3.

    3(Only when setting your home region)Touch  /  to select your home 
    region and touch [ENTER].
    ≥Touch [DAYLIGHT SAVING] to set daylight 
    saving time.   is displayed and the 
    summer time setting is turned on, the time 
    difference between the current time and GMT 
    will be set forward by 1 hour. Touch [DAYLIGHT 
    SAVING] again to return to the normal time 
    setting.
    If you set [Link Clock to Daylight Saving] to 
    [ON], the current time will also be set forward by 1 hour. ( l33)

    Touch [DESTINATION].≥Touch [ENTER].
    ≥ When the home region is set for the first time, the screen for  selecting home/travel destination 
    appears after setting the home region successively. If the home  region has already been set 
    once, execute the menu operation for Step 1.
    5(Only when setting the region of your travel 
    destination)
    Touch  /  to select your travel 
    destination and touch [ENTER].
    ≥ Touch [DAYLIGHT SAVING] to set daylight 
    saving time.   is displayed and the 
    summer time setting is turned on, the time 
    difference between the travel destination and 
    the home region will be set forward by 1 hour. 
    Touch [DAYLIGHT SAVING] again to return to 
    the normal time setting.
    If you set [Link Clock to Daylight Saving] to 
    [ON], the time at the travel destination will also 
    be set forward by 1 hour.
    ≥ Close the setting by touching [EXIT].   appears and the time of  the travel destination is 
    indicated.
    To return the display to the home settingSet the home region using Steps 1 to 3, and close the setting b y touching [EXIT].
    ≥If you cannot find your travel d estination in the area shown on  the screen, set it by using the time 
    difference from your home region.
    If you set this function to [ON] and turn on the summer time setting in [SET WORLD TIME], the 
    following times will be set forward by 1 hour: jWhen setting your home region: The current time
    j When setting the region of your travel destination: The time at  the travel destination
    [Link Clock to Daylight Saving]

    It is possible to change the date and time display mode.
    ≥The date and time are not displayed while the recording mode sw itching icon is displayed. (l18)
    ≥ When the Touch Shutter is enabled, the recording mode switching  icon is constantly displayed. 
    This causes the date and time to disappear from the screen.
    It is possible to change the date format.
    You can set the display method of  the zoom button icons ( / ) and  recording button icon ( ).

    When about 5 minutes have passed without any operation, this unit automatically turns off to save 
    battery life.
    ≥ This unit will not automatically turn off even if [ECONOMY (BAT T)] is set to [ON] in following 
    cases:
    j Using the AC adaptor*
    j Using the USB cable for PC etc.
    j PRE-REC is used
    j During slide show playback
    j Using the Wi-Fi function
    * When [ECONOMY (AC)] is activated, this unit automatically turn s off.
    When about 15 minutes have passed without any operation while co nnecting AC adaptor with this 
    unit, this unit automatically turns off.
    ≥ This unit will not automatically turn off even if [ECONOMY (AC)] is set to [ON] in following cases:
    jUsing the USB cable for PC etc.
    j PRE-REC is used
    j During slide show playback
    j Using the Wi-Fi function
    The unit is put into recording pause approx. 1 second when the u nit is turned on.
    ≥Depending on the recording conditions, start time may be longer  than 1 second.
    ≥ In the Quick Power On Mode, the zoom magnification becomes appr ox. 1k.

    Touch screen operation, starting and stopping of recording and unit on/off can be confirmed with this 
    sound.
    When [OFF] is selected, the sound is not output at the start/en d of recording, etc.

    ≥Refer to page  92 when changing the shutter sound setting.
    You can change the operation icons ( l74) to display in the Touch Menu.
    Register 3 favorite operation icons.
    ≥ The default settings are as follows:

    2 Touch the operation icon you would like to change to cancel the  setting.
    3 Touch the operation icon to be set.
    ≥Name of the function is displayed by touching and holding on th e operation icon.

    This makes it easier to view the LCD monitor in bright places including outdoors.
    ≥ These settings will not affect the images actually recorded.
    ≥When the AC adaptor is in use, the LCD monitor is set to   autom atically.
    ≥ Recordable time with the battery is shortened when the LCD is m ade brighter.
    ≥ When the video light is set to   ([ON]) or   ([AUTO]) and it is l it, it cannot be set.
    It adjusts brightness and color density on the LCD monitor.
    ≥ These settings will not affect the images actually recorded.

    ≥ The “LUMIX CLUB” Login ID and Wi-Fi Password are also deleted.
    You can delete the music ( l101 , 108,  11 3) stored on this unit as [USER BGM].

    Do not format an SD card using any other equipment such as a PC . The card may not be 
    used on this unit.

    The used space and remaining recordable time of the SD card can be checked.
    ≥ The remaining recordable time in the currently set Recording Mode is displayed only in the 
    Motion Picture Recording Mode.
    ≥ Touch [EXIT] to close the indication.
    ≥The SD card requires some space to store information and manage  system files, so the actual 
    usable space is slightly less than the indicated value. The usa ble SD card space is generally 
    calculated as 1 GB=1,000,000,000 bytes. The capacities of this u nit, PCs and software are 
    expressed as 1 GB=1,024 k1,024 k1,024=1,073,741,824 bytes. Therefore, the indicated value of 
    the capacity appears to be smaller.
    The firmware version of  this unit is displayed.
    You can update the firmware version of this unit.
    This item is used to start the unit demonstration.
    ≥ If [DEMO MODE] is switched to [ON] and you touch [EXIT] when th ere is no SD card inserted and 
    while this unit is connected to the AC adaptor, the demonstrati on automatically starts.
    If any operation takes place, the demonstration is canceled. Ho wever if no operations take place 
    for approx. 10 minutes, the demonstration automatically starts again. To stop the demonstration, 
    set [DEMO MODE] to [OFF] or insert an SD card.
    ≥ When Demo Mode is in operation, the lens cover remains open.
