(Fig. 1) fAttach the two air filter units to the long life filter cover . The method to attach the two air filter units is the same. f Align the position so that the grips on the air filter unit (a) and (b) will be outside the guides on the long life filter cover (e) and (f), and push in the direction of the arrow by holding the outer frame of the air filter unit. (Fig. 2) fWhen the two air filter units are attached (Fig. 3), proceed to “Attaching the long life filter cover” ( x page 201) next. Note f Make sure that the air filter unit is properly attached before using the projector . If it is not attached, the projector will suck in dirt and dust causing a malfunction. (\ Fig. 1) f Attach the long life filter cover (with the two air filter units attached) to the long life filter mount clasp on the projector body . fThe long life filter cover has no dif ference between top and bottom. 2) Secure the long life filter cover . (Fig. 2) fSecurely fix with the two long life filter cover fixing screws (knurled head screws) removed in Step 2) in “Removing the air filter unit” ( x page 199). fWhen the long life filter cover is secured, proceed to “Resetting the filter counter” ( x page 202) next.

Chapter 6 Maintenance — Maintenance/replacement 202 - ENGLISH Resetting the filter counter 1) T urn on the power of the projector. 2) Press the button on the remote control or control panel. f The [MAIN MENU] screen is displayed. 3) Press as to select [PROJECTOR SETUP]. 4) Press the button. f The [PROJECTOR SETUP] screen is displayed. 5) Press as to select [FILTER SETTING]. 6) Press the button. f The [FILTER SETTING] screen is displayed. 7) Press as to select [FILTER COUNTER RESET], and press the button. 8) When the confirmation screen is displayed, press qw to select [OK], and press the button. fThe [PROJECT OR SETUP] menu → [STATUS] → [FILTER COUNTER] is displayed as “0”. Note f When the projector is used without resetting the filter counter , the actual filter runtime (counter numeric value) will not be able to be confirmed. Replacing the unit Filter If dirt does not come off even after the air filter unit is maintained, it is time for the unit to be replaced. The Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET - EMF330) is an optional accessory. To purchase the product, consult your dealer. Attention f Make sure to turn of f the power before replacing the filter. (x pages 58, 68) fMake sure that the projector is stable, and perform the maintenance in a safe place even if the filter falls accidentally . Note fThe replacement cycle of the air filter unit varies greatly depending on the usage environment. For the air filter unit The section describes the replacement procedure of the standard air filter unit attached to the projector . This air filter unit is the same as the Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET - EMF330) (accessory/optional accessory). 1) Remove the air filter unit. f Refer to “Removing the air filter unit” ( x page 197) of the standard air filter unit. 2) Attach the Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET- EMF330) (accessory/optional accessory) to the projector. f Refer to “Attaching the air filter unit” ( x page 198) of the standard air filter unit. 3) Reset the filter counter . fRefer to “Resetting the filter counter” ( x page 199) of the standard air filter unit. Chapter 6 Maintenance — Maintenance/replacement ENGLISH - 203 For the Long Life Filter Unit This section describes the replacement procedure of the air filter unit when the optional Long Life Filter Unit (Model No.: ET - EMFU330) is attached instead of the standard air filter unit attached to the projector . The Long Life Filter Unit uses two of the same standard air filters attached to the projector or the Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET - EMF330) (accessory/optional accessory). 1) Remove the two air filter units from the long life filter cover . fRefer to “Removing the air filter unit” ( x page 199) of the Long Life Filter Unit. 2) Attach the two Replacement Filter Units (Model No.: ET- EMF330) (accessory/optional accessory) to the long life filter cover. f Refer to “Attaching the air filter unit” ( x page 201) of the Long Life Filter Unit. 3) Attach the long life filter cover to the long life filter mount clasp. f Refer to “Attaching the long life filter cover” ( x page 201) of the Long Life Filter Unit. 4) Resetting the filter counter f Refer to “Resetting the filter counter” ( x page 202) of the Long Life Filter Unit. Note f When switching on the projector , make sure that the air filter unit is attached. Self-diagnosis display will automatically display the value of the input supply voltage, or details of errors or warnings when they occur. (x page 30) The following list shows the alphanumeric symbol that is displayed when \ an error or a warning has occurred and its details. Confirm “Action number”, and follow the measure in “Measure for error and warning” ( x page 208). The input supply voltage is displayed only with the numeric value.
