 f If the  button is pressed with [MODE] in [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL  SETUP] set to other than [OFF], the light source 
brightness at the time the button was pressed is recorded as the standard brightness.
 f If the  button is pressed when [LINK] is set from [GROUP

 A] to [GROUP D], the group name is displayed on the screens of 
projectors that have been set in the same group.

Note
 fWhen [MODE] in [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL  SETUP] is running with [AUTO] or [PC], the light source brightness is automatically 
measured 15 minutes after the light source lights up, and correction is performed so that the screen brightness will be the same as the 
standard brightness when the brightness control is adjusted. Brightness is not measured since the light source brightness is not stable for 
approximately 15 minutes after the light source lights up.
 f When [MODE] of [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL

 SETUP] is running in [AUTO] and [LINK] is [OFF], the brightness will be corrected until it 
reaches the maximum amount of correction.
 f The variation in brightness may increase due to dust accumulating on the lens, screen, or inside the projector , depending on the installation 
environment of the projector

.
 fWhen the variation in brightness has increased due to the deterioration of the light source over time, or when you replaced the light source 
unit, readjust the brightness control.
 fWhen the projector is used continuously for more than 24 hours, set the [CALIBRA TION 

TIME] in [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL SETUP]. If it is 
not set, correction will not be performed automatically.
 f The brightness control and the ECO management operate simultaneously . However

, [LIGHT POWER] in [ECO MANAGEMENT] is fixed to 
[NORMAL] while the brightness is measured. Also, [AUTO POWER SAVE] is fixed to [OFF].
 f The set changes in the [CALIBRA

TION TIME] will be reflected during the time you entered.
 fThe set changes in the [CALIBRA

TION MESSAGE] will be reflected at the time items are switched using  qw.

Brightness control adjustment procedure example
This is an example of an adjustment procedure for synchronizing the brightness of eight projectors connected to the network.
1) Connect all projectors to the hub using LAN cables. (x   page   100)

Switch on all projectors and start projection.

Set [MODE] of [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL
  SETUP] to [OFF], and select [APPLY], and then press the 
 button.

Set [SUBNET MASK] and [IP
  ADDRESS] in each projector.
 fTo be able to communicate over the network, set the same value in [SUBNET MASK] for all projectors and set a different value in [IP 
ADDRESS] for each projector.
5) Wait for at least 15 minutes after starting projection until the light so\
urce brightness stabilizes.

Set the same value in all items inside the [PICTURE] menu for all projec\
tors.

Adjust [COLOR MA

 fBrightness control starts.
Note
 fBrightness is automatically corrected whenever the light source lights up by switching on/of f the projector , etc. fWhen the variation in brightness has increased, or when you replace the light source unit, readjust the brightness control.
[SCHEDULE]
Set the command execution schedule for each day of the week.
Enabling/disabling the schedule function

 fWhen [SCHEDULE] is set to [ON], the [ST ANDBY MODE] setting is forcibly switched to [NORMAL], and the setting cannot be changed. 
Even if [SCHEDULE] is then set to [OFF] when in this state, the setting of [ST ANDBY MODE] remains at [NORMAL].
How to assign a program

Prioritizes brightness.
[ECO SAVE1] Reduces the power by approximately 20
  % in average compared to 
[NORMAL] without affecting the brightness.
[ECO SAVE2] Reduces the power by approximately 30
  % in average compared to 
[NORMAL], minimizing reduction in brightness.
[LOW] Saves more power and reduces brightness.

[NUMBER OF ENTRY  SIGNAL] Displays the number of registered signals.
[EMULATE] Displays the [EMULATE] settings.
[PROJECTOR TYPE] Displays the type of the projector.
[SERIAL NUMBER] Displays the serial number of the projector.
[MAIN VERSION] Displays the main version of the firmware of the projector.
[SUB VERSION] Displays the sub version of the firmware of the projector.
[NETWORK VERSION] Displays the network version of the projector.

Set the time zone, date, and time of the built-in clock of the projector .
Setting the time zone

Setting the date and time automatically
1) Press  as to select [DATE AND TIME].

Press the  button.
 f The  [DATE AND TIME] screen is displayed.
3) Press  as to select [ADJUST CLOCK].

Press the  button.
 f The  [ADJUST CLOCK] screen is displayed.
5) Press  as to select [NTP SYNCHRONIZATION], and press qw to change the setting to [ON].
 fThe items will switch each time you press the button.
[OFF] Disables [NTP SYNCHRONIZATION].
[ON] Enables [NTP SYNCHRONIZATION].
6) Press as to select [APPLY], and press the  button.
 fThe setting of the time will be completed.
Note
 fTo set the date and time automatically, the projector must be connected to the network. fIf synchronization with the NTP
 server fails just after [NTP SYNCHRONIZATION] is turned [ON], or if [NTP SYNCHRONIZATION] is turned 
[ON] while the NTP server is not set, [NTP SYNCHRONIZATION] will return to [OFF].
 f Access the projector via a web browser to set the NTP

 server. Refer to “[Adjust clock] page” (x   page   108) for details.
[SAVE ALL USER DATA]
Save the various setting values as a backup in the built-in memory of the projector.
1) Press as to select [SAVE ALL USER DATA].
