    Net\bork Connection
You can set up your \yTV so that it can \yaccess the Internet through your local area network (LAN) u\ysing a wired or wireless
    connection\b

    ¦ Connectin\b	to	a	Wired	Network
You can attach your \yTV to your LAN usin\yg cable in three ways:

y You can attach your \yTV to your LAN by c\yonnecting the LAN \yport on the back o\y\f your TV to an ext\yernal modem using a C\yat
    5 cable\b See the dia\ygram below\b

y You can attach your \yTV to your LAN by c\yonnecting the LAN \yport on the back o\y\f your TV to a IP Sh\yarer which is connec\yted
to an external modem\b Use Cat \y5 cable \for the con\ynection\b See the dia\ygram below\b

y Depending on how yo\yur network is confi\ygured, you may be able \yto attach your TV t\yo your LAN by conne\ycting the LAN
port on the back o\y\f your TV directly to a network \ywall outlet using \ya Cat 5 cable\b See \ythe diagram below\b Note that the wal\yl
outlet is attached \yto a modem or router elsewhere in your house\b
I\f you have a Dynami\yc Network, you shou\yld use an ADSL modem\y or router that support\ys Dynamic Host Confi\yguration
Protocol (DHCP)\b Mode\yms and routers that suppor\yt DHCP automatical\yly provide the IP address, subnet mask, \ygateway,
and DNS values your \yTV needs to access \ythe Internet so you don’t have to enter th\yem manually\b Most h\yome networks are
    Dynamic Networks\b
Some networks require a Static IP address\b I\f your network\y requires a Static IP address, you must enter\y the IP address,
subnet mask, gatew\yay, and DNS values m\yanually on your TV’\ys Cable Setup Screen when you set up\y the network
connection\b To get the IP address, subnet mask, \ygateway, and DNS val\yues, contact your I\ynternet Service Provider (ISP)\b I\f
you have a Windows computer, you can also get \ythese values through your computer\b

✎You can use ADSL modems that support DHCP i\f your network requires a Static IP address\b ADSL modems that
support DHCP also let you use Static IP addresses\b
