    Creates a new folder in the memory card to which still images and MP4 movies are 
    recorded.
    Images are recorded in the newly created folder until you create another folder or select 
    another recording folder.

    A new folder is created with a folder number one greater than the largest folder number 
    currently used.
     A folder for still images and a folder for MP4 movies that have the same number are created at the same 
    time.
     When you insert a memory card that was used with other equipment into the camera and shoot images, a 
    new folder may be automatically created.
     Up to 4,000 images in total can be stored in the folders for still images or movies, respectively, with the 
    same number. When the folder capacity is exceeded, a new folder is created automatically.

    When inconsistencies are caused in the image database file by processing files on 
    computers, etc., images on the memory card will not be played back on this camera. If 
    these inconsistencies happen, the camera repairs the file.

    The [Recover Image DB] screen is displayed, and the camera repairs the file.
    Wait until repairs are complete.
     Use a sufficiently charged battery. Low battery power during repairing can cause damage to data.

    Sets whether or not you use the upload function when using an Eye-Fi card 
    (commercially available). This item appears when an Eye-Fi card is inserted in the 
    camera.

     [Power Save] does not work while the camera is uploading images.
     Eye-Fi cards are sold in the U.S.A., Canada, Japan, and some countries in the EU (as of June in 2012).
     For more information, please contact the manufacturer or vendor directly.
     Eye-Fi cards can be used only in the countries/regions where they were purchased. Use Eye-Fi cards in 
    accordance with the law of the countries/regions where you purchased the card.
     Do not use an Eye-Fi card inserted in the camera on an airplane. If an Eye-Fi card is inserted in the  camera, set [Upload Settings] to [Off].   is displayed on the screen when [Upload Settings] is set to 
    [Off].
     You cannot use the Wi-Fi network function when using a memory card with Eye-Fi wireless function, 
    etc.
    1 Set your Wi-Fi network or destination on the Eye-Fi card.
    For details, refer to the manual supplied with the Eye-Fi card.
    2Insert the Eye-Fi card you have set up into the camera, and shoot still 
    images.
    Images are transferred to your computer, etc., automatically via the Wi-Fi network.
     When you use a brand-new Eye-Fi card for the first time, copy the install file of Eye-Fi manager recorded 
    on the card to your computer before formatting the card.
     Use an Eye-Fi card after updating the firmware to the latest version. For details, refer to the operating 
    instructions that comes with the Eye-Fi card.
     The power save function of the camera does not work while it is transferring images.
     If   (error) is displayed, remove the memory card and reinsert it, or turn the camera off and then on  again. If   appears again, the Eye-Fi card may be damaged.
     Wi-Fi network communication may be influenced by other communication devices. If the  communication status is poor, move closer to the access point of the Wi-Fi network.
     For details on the file types that can be uploaded, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the  Eye-Fi card.
     This product does not support the Eye-Fi “Endless Memory Mode.” Be sure that “Endless Memory  Mode” of an Eye-Fi card is turned off before inserting it into the camera.
    On Enables the upload function. The icon on the screen changes 
    according to the communication status of the camera.
     Standby. No images are to be sent. Connecting.
     Upload standby.

    Off Disables the upload function.

    If your access point has the WPS button, you can register the access point to the camera 
    easily by pushing the WPS button.

    MENU  t [Setup]  t [WPS Push].
    2 Press the WPS button on the access point you want to register.
     Depending on the access point, [WPS Push] may not be available. In such cases, follow the steps for 
    [Access Point Settings] and register your access point (page 196).
     When aboard an airplane, turn off the camera.

    You can register your access point manually.
    Before starting the procedure, check the SSID name of the access point, security system, 
    and password. The password may be preset in some devices. For details, see the access 
    point operating instructions.
     When aboard an airplane, turn off the camera.

    2 Select the access point you want to register.
    When the desired access point is displayed on the screen:
    Select the desired access point.
    When the desired access point is not displayed on the screen:
    Select [Manual Setting] and set the access point.* For the input method, refer to “How to use the keyboard.”If you select [Manual Registration], input the SSID name of the access point  t select the 
    security system.
    3 Input the password.
    Access points that do not display   do not require a 
    password to be entered.
    4Select [Memory], then register the settings.

    When manual character entry is required, a keyboard is displayed on the screen.
    Select the desired button using the top/bottom/right/left areas of the control wheel and 
    enter by pressing the center.
    You can operate the keyboard by touching the screen (NEX-5R only).
    How to use the keyboard
    Screen

    (1) Input box The characters you entered are displayed. If you input characters 
    exceeding the set number of characters,  b is displayed on the screen.
    (2) Switch 
    character 
    types Each time you press the center of the control wheel, character types are 
    switched among alphabet letters, numerals and symbols.
    You can switch the character types by touching the screen (NEX-5R 
    only).
    (3) Keyboard Each time you press the center of the control wheel, the character that 
    you enter will be displayed.
    For example: If you want to enter “abd”
    Select the key for “abc” and press the center of the control wheel once 
    to display “a”  t select “ ,” to move the cursor  (4) and press the 
    center of the control wheel  t select the key for “abc” and press the 
    center of the control wheel twice to display “b”  t select the key for 
    “def” and press the center of the control wheel once to display “d”
    You can enter a character by touching the screen (NEX-5R only).
    (4) Move 
    cursor Moves the cursor in the input box to the right or left.
    (5) Delete Deletes the character preceding the cursor.
    (6) M Switches the next character to a capital or small letter.
    (7) Space Enters a space.

    Depending on the status or the setting method of your access point, you may want to set 
    more items.
     To give the registered access point priority, set [Priority Connection] to [On].
    Other setting items

    WPS PIN Displays the IP address you enter into the connected device.
