21 NEDERLANDSNL VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN ALGEMEEN Dit symbool geeft een WAARSCHU- WING weer! Als de instructies niet juist worden opgevolgd, kan dit leiden tot verwondingen en/of schade. • Lees deze voorschriften zorgvuldig door. Zorg dat u bekend bent met alle bedieningsmechanis- men en het juiste gebruik van de machine. • De machine is alleen bedoeld voor het maaien van gras. Ander gebruik, zoals het knippen van struiken, heggen, klimplanten etc., is verboden i.v.m. het gevaar voor verwondingen. • Laat de maaimachine nooit door kinderen bedi- enen of door iemand die niet op de hoogte is van deze instructies. In gemeentelijke verordenin- gen kunnen beperkingen worden aangegeven voor de leeftijd van de bestuurder. • Ga niet maaien wanneer anderen, met name kinderen of dieren, in de buurt zijn. • De bestuurder is aansprakelijk voor ongelukken bij anderen of schade aan het eigendom van an- deren. • Gebruik de machine niet wanneer u onder inv- loed bent van alcohol, drugs of geneesmid- delen. Gebruik de machine ook niet wanneer u moe bent of zich niet lekker voelt. VOORBEREIDING • Draag bij het maaien stevige schoenen en een lange broek. Gebruik de machine niet op blote voeten of met sandalen. • Draag altijd gehoorbescherming. • Controleer voordat u gaat maaien het maaige- bied en verwijder alle stenen, stokken, metalen draden en andere zaken. • Voor gebruik: Controleer altijd of de messen en de bevestigingsonderdelen niet zijn versleten of beschadigd. Vervang versleten of beschadigde onderdelen als één set, zodat de juiste balans behouden blijft.Machine aansluiten • Gebruik alleen een verlengsnoer dat is goedgekeurd voor gebruik buitenshuis en dat geschikt is voor aansluiting op de maaimachine. Neem bij twijfel contact op met uw leverancier. • Voor extra veiligheid moet er een aardle- kschakelaar met een uitschakelstroom van max- imaal 30 mA worden aangesloten tussen het stopcontact en het verlengsnoer. • Controleer altijd voor gebruik van de machine of het verlengsnoer niet beschadigd is. Gebruik de machine nooit met een beschadigd verlengs- noer. MAAIEN • Maai alleen bij daglicht of bij goede verlichting. • Liever geen nat gras maaien. • Beweeg met vaste hand op hellingen. • Loop gewoon, ren niet. • Maaimachines met wielen horizontaal op een helling gebruiken, niet verticaal. • Wees voorzichtig als u op een helling van rich- ting verandert. • Maai niet op hellingen met een hellingshoek van meer dan 15°. • Let goed op als u achteruit loopt of wanneer u de grasmaaier naar u toe trekt. • Schakel de motor uit als de grasmaaier tijdens het transport op zijn kant gezet moeten worden op een andere ondergrond dan gras en wannneer de grasmaaier moet worden verplaatst van en naar het grasveld dat gemaaid moet worden. • Gebruik de grasmaaier niet bij onvoldoende be- scherming of zonder dat u de veiligheidsmech- anismen heeft geplaatst, bijv. een grasopvangbak. • Start de motor voorzichtig, volg de instructies. Houd uw voeten uit de buurt van de messen. • Zet de grasmaaier niet op zijn kant als u motor start, behalve wanneer dit noodzakelijk is om de motor te starten. Als dit het geval is, moet u de grasmaaier niet verder optillen dan noodza- kelijk. Til het gedeelte op dat het verste van de motor is verwijderd.
22 NEDERLANDSNL • Houd uw handen en voeten uit de buurt van het roterende blad en andere draaiende onderdelen. Steek nooit uw hand in de opening van de gra- suitworp. • Het messenblad blijft nog even ronddraaien na- dat u de starthendel heeft losgelaten. • Als de machine is voorzien van een grasuitwer- per, moet u er voor zorgen dat deze niet verstopt raakt met takken, vuil etc. • De grasmaaier niet optillen of vervoeren als de motor loopt. Schakel de motor uit en haal de stekker uit het stopcontact: • Als u de grasmaaier verlaat. • Wanneer u takken en vuil moet verwijderen als de uitvoer verstopt is geraakt. • Wanneer u de machine wilt controleren, reinigen of onderhoud aan de machine wilt verrichten. • Als u over een vreemd voorwerp bent gereden en wilt controleren of de machine is beschadigd of als u reparaties wilt uitvoeren voordat u de grasmaai- er opnieuw start. • Wanneer u de machine wilt controleren wan- neer deze sterk begint te trillen. (Controleer de machine direct.) • Zorg dat het snoer niet in de bladen kan komen. Als het snoer tijdens het maaien wordt bescha- digd stopt u de machine onmiddellijk en haalt u het snoer uit het stopcontact voordat u het gaat controleren. Een beschadigd snoer moet worden gerepareerd door een gekwalificeerde elektricien of moet worden vervangen. ONDERHOUD EN OPBERGEN • Controleer of alle schroeven en moeren vast zit- ten, zodat de machine veilig kan worden ge- bruikt. • Als de grasmaaier is uitgerust met een grasop- vangbak, dient u deze regelmatig op slijtage en beschadigingen te controleren. • Vervang versleten of beschadigde onderdelen voor de veiligheid. • Maak de grasmaaier goed schoon en zet hem binnen op een droge plaats. De grasmaaier nooit afspoelen met water.• Berg de machine zo op dat kinderen deze niet kunnen bereiken. MILIEU Om milieutechnische redenen bevelen wij u aan specifieke aandacht te besteden aan de volgende punten: • Gooi vervangen loodaccus niet bij het normale afval. Lever deze in bij een accu-inzamelpunt voor recycling (geldt voor machines met accus en machines met een accustarter). • Als de machine aan vervanging toe is na jaren lang dienst te hebben gedaan of als u hem niet meer nodig heeft, raden we u aan deze naar uw leverancier te brengen ter recycling. REPARATIES ACCESSOIRES/RESERVEONDER- DELEN Gebruik altijd originele reserveonder- delen. Niet-originele onderdelen en ac- cessoires zijn niet gecontroleerd en goedgekeurd door de fabrikant van de grasmaaier. Het gebruik van niet-origi- nele reserveonderdelen kan verwondin- gen veroorzaken, ook al passen de onderdelen in de machine. De fabrikant van de grasmaaier is niet verant- woordelijk voor verwondingen of besch- adigingen die zijn veroorzaakt door dergelijke onderdelen of accessoires. Originele reserveonderdelen worden geleverd door servicewerkplaatsen en een groot aantal deal- ers. Wij raden u aan de machine eens per jaar naar een bevoegde servicewerkplaats te brengen voor ser- vice, onderhoud en controle van de veiligheids- mechanismen. Voor service en reserveonderdelen neemt u contact op met de leverancier van uw machine.

Deze nummers kunt u vinden op een sticker op het chassis van de machine: Gebruik deze identificatienummers tijdens het contact met de servicewerkplaatsen en bij de aank- oop van reserveonderdelen. Schrijf zo snel mogelijk na aanschaf van de ma- chine het bovenstaande nummer op de laatste pag- ina van deze uitgave. De fabrikant van de grasmaaier behoudt zich het recht voor zonder voorafgaande aankondiging wijzigingen in het product aan te brengen. AANKOOPVOORWAARDEN Fabricagefouten en materiaaldefecten vallen volledig onder de garantie. De gebruiker dient de instructies in de bijgeleverde documentatie zorg- vuldig op te volgen. Garantieperiode Gebruik consument: twee jaar na aankoopdatum. Professioneel gebruik: 3 maanden na aankoopda- tum. Voor accus: 6 maanden na aankoopdatum. Uitzonderingen De garantie geldt niet in de volgende gevallen: - nalatigheid van de gebruiker zich op de hoogte te stellen van de bijgeleverde documentatie - onachtzaamheid - onjuist en ongeoorloofd gebruik of onjuiste en ongeoorloofde montage - het gebruik van niet-originele reserveonder- delen - het gebruik van accessoires die niet door Stiga zijn geleverd of goedgekeurd De garantie geldt ook niet voor: - aan slijtage onderhevige onderdelen zoals blad- en, riemen, wielen en kabels - normale slijtage - motoren. Dergelijke zaken vallen onder de ga- rantie van de bijbehorende fabrikant met aparte voorwaarden. Op alle aankopen is de nationale wetgeving in het land van de koper van toepassing. 24 ENGLISHGB SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS GENERAL This symbol indicates WARNING! Per- sonal injury and/or damage to property may result if the instructions are not fol- lowed carefully. • Please read through these instructions carefully. Learn all the controls and the correct use of the machine. • This machine is only intended for mowing lawns. Other use, such as cutting bushes, hedg- es, climbing plants, etc., is forbidden due to the risk of injury. • Never allow children or anyone who is not fa- miliar with these instructions to use the lawn- mower. Local regulations may impose restrictions as regards the age of the driver. • Never carry out mowing if others, particularly children or animals, are in the vicinity. • Remember that the driver is responsible for ac- cidents that happen to other people or their property. • Do not use the machine if you are under the in- fluence of alcohol, drugs or medication. Neither should you use it when you are tired or feeling unwell. PREPARATIONS • Wear strong shoes and long trousers when mowing. Do not operate the machine barefoot or wearing sandals. • Always use hearing protectors. • Carefully check the area that is to be mowed and remove all stones, sticks, steel wire and oth- er objects. • Before use: always check that blades and mounting devices are not worn or damaged. Re- place worn or damage parts as a set so that the correct balance is maintained. Connecting the machine • Only use an extension lead approved for out- door use that matches the machine’s plug. If you are in any doubt, contact your dealer.• For increased safety, an earth leakage circuit breaker with a breaking current not greater than 30 mA should be connected between the wall socket and the extension lead. • Before using the machine, always check that the extension lead is not damaged. The machine must not be used if the lead is damaged. OPERATION • Only mow in daylight or in good lighting con- ditions. • If possible, avoid mowing wet grass. • Be sure to move steadily on slopes. • Walk, don’t run. • With wheeled lawnmowers, cut across a slope, never up and down. • Take great care when changing direction on a slope. • Do not mow slopes with a gradient of more than 15°. • Take great care when reversing or when pulling the lawnmower towards yourself. • Shut off the engine if the lawnmower has to be tilted during transport on surfaces other than grass, and when the lawnmower is being trans- ported to and from the area to be mowed. • Never operate the lawnmower with insufficient protection or without safety devices in place, e.g. a grass collector. • Start the engine carefully, following the instruc- tions. Keep your feet away from the blades. • Do not tilt the mower when the engine is start- ed, apart from when the mower has to be tilted when starting. If this is the case, it should not be tilted more than necessary, and the part that is furthest away from the operator should be tilted. • Keep your hands and feet away from the rotat- ing blade and other rotating parts. If there is an ejector opening, never insert your hand into it. • The blade bar continues to rotate for a short while after the starter handle has been released. • If the machine is equipped with a grass ejector, this should always be kept free of branches, rubbish, etc.
25 ENGLISHGB • Never lift or carry the lawnmower while the en- gine is running. Shut off the engine and pull out the plug: • When you leave the lawnmower. • To remove sticks and rubbish or when the dis- charge has become clogged. • To check, clean or service the machine. • When you have driven over a foreign object and want to check whether there is any damage as well as carry out repairs before restarting the mower. • To check the machine if it begins to vibrate ex- cessively. (Check immediately). • Always ensure that the lead is kept well away from the blade. If the lead is damaged during mowing, stop the machine immediately and un- plug the lead from the wall socket before check- ing the lead. A damaged lead should be repaired by a qualified electrician or replaced. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE • Check that all nuts and screws are tightened so that the machine is in safe working condition. • If the machine is equipped with a grass collec- tor, check frequently for wear and damage to the grass collector. • For the sake of safety, replace worn or damaged parts. • Thoroughly clean the mower and store it in- doors in a dry place. The machine must not be rinsed with water. • Store the machine so that children cannot get to it. ENVIRONMENT For environmental reasons, we recommend that particular attention is given to the following points: • Do not discard replaced lead batteries with nor- mal rubbish. Hand in to a battery collection point for recycling (applies to battery-powered machines and machines with battery start). • When your machine has to be replaced after many years of service or is no longer required, we recommend that it is handed in to your deal- er for recycling. SERVICE ACCESSORIES/SPARE PARTS Always use genuine spare parts and ac- cessories. Non-genuine spare parts and accessories have not been checked and approved by the lawnmower manufac- turer. The use of non-genuine spare parts and accessories can entail a risk of injury, even if they fit the machine. The lawnmower manufacturer accepts no responsibility for injury or damage caused by such parts or accessories. Genuine spare parts are supplied by authorised service stations and by many dealers. We recommend that the machine be handed in to an authorised service workshop for service, main- tenance and checking of safety devices once a year. For service and spare parts, please contact the out- let where you purchased the machine. PRODUCT IDENTITY The product’s identity is determined by the ma- chine’s item and serial numbers. Found on this sticker affixed to the machine’s chassis: Use these identification terms during all contact with service workshops and when purchasing spare parts. As soon as possible after acquiring the machine, the above number should be written in on the last page of this publication. 26 ENGLISHGB PURCHASE TERMS A full guarantee is issued against manufacturing and material defects. The user must carefully fol- low the instructions given in the enclosed docu- mentation. Guarantee period For consumer use: two years from the purchase date. For professional use: three months from the pur- chase date. For batteries: six months from the purchase date. Exceptions The guarantee does not cover damage due to: - neglect of the user to acquaint himself with ac- companying documentation - carelessness - incorrect and non-permitted use or assembly - the use of non-genuine spare parts - the use of accessories not supplied or approved by Stiga Neither does the guarantee cover: - wearing components such as blades, belts, wheels and cables -normal wear - engines. Sostituire in blocco i pezzi usurati o danneggiati in modo da mantenere il corretto equilibrio. Collegamento della macchina • Utilizzare solo prolunghe per esterni adatte alla spina della macchina. FUNZIONAMENTO • Tosare il prato solo durante il giorno o in condi- zioni di buona illuminazione. • Se possibile, evitare di tosare il prato se l’erba è bagnata. • Sui pendii spostarsi senza incertezze o movi- menti bruschi. • Evitare di correre. • Se il rasaerba è gommato, procedere perpendi- colarmente al pendio non dall’alto verso il bas- so. • Prestare particolare attenzione quando si cam- bia direzione su un pendio. • Non tosare l’erba se la pendenza del terreno su- pera i 15°. • Prestare particolare attenzione quando si fa re- tromarcia o quando si tira il rasaerba verso di sé. • Spegnere il motore per inclinare il rasaerba du- rante il trasporto su superfici non erbose e du- rante il trasporto da e verso il prato da tosare. • Non utilizzare il rasaerba se non si è sufficien- temente protetti o se i dispositivi di sicurezza (ad es. il raccoglierba) non sono al loro posto. • Mettere in moto con attenzione, seguendo le istruzioni. Non avvicinare i piedi alle lame. • Non inclinare il rasaerba se il motore è acceso, fatta eccezione del movimento di inclinazione da effettuare per mettere in moto. In questo ca- so, non inclinare più del necessario; inclinare la parte più lontana dall’operatore. • Non avvicinare mani e piedi alla lama rotante o ad altri ingranaggi. Non infilare le mani dentro l’apertura di espulsione, se presente. • La barra portalame continua a ruotare per un po’ dopo che l’operatore ha rilasciato la mano- pola di avviamento.
28 ITALIANOIT • Se la macchina è dotata di dispositivo per l’espulsione dell’erba, controllare che tale di- spositivo non contenga rami, rifiuti etc. • Non sollevare o trasportare il rasaerba se il mo- tore è acceso. Spegnere il motore e togliere la spina: • Quando si lascia il rasaerba incustodito. • Per rimuovere pezzi di legno e rifiuti quando lo scarico è ostruito. • Per controllare o pulire la macchina o effettuare la manutenzione. • Quando il rasaerba ha calpestato un corpo estra- neo e si vuole verificare che non vi siano danni o ripararli prima di riavviarlo. • Per controllare la macchina se questa inizia a vi- brare eccessivamente. (Controllare immediata- mente). • Tenere sempre il cavo elettrico lontano dalla la- ma. Se mentre si tosa l’erba viene danneggiato il cavo, spegnere immediatamente la macchina e togliere la spina dalla presa a muro prima di controllare il cavo. Se il cavo è danneggiato, farlo riparare da un elettricista esperto o sosti- tuirlo. MANUTENZIONE ED ASSISTENZA • Controllare che tutti i dadi e le viti siano serrati per assicurare un funzionamento sicuro della macchina. • Se la macchina è dotata di raccoglierba, control- lare frequentemente che non sia usurato o dan- neggiato. • Per sicurezza, sostituire i pezzi usurati o dan- neggiati. • Pulire accuratamente il rasaerba e riporlo al co- perto in un luogo asciutto. Non risciacquare la macchina con acqua. • La macchina va riposta al coperto in un luogo inaccessibile ai bambini. TUTELA AMBIENTALE Per ragioni di tutela ambientale, si raccomanda di prestare particolare attenzione ai seguenti punti:• Non gettare le batterie al piombo usate insieme ai rifiuti normali. Consegnarla a un centro di smaltimento autorizzato (nota valida per le macchine a batteria e con avviamento a batte- ria) • Quando si desidera sostituire la propria macchi- na dopo vari anni o se non la si usa più, si rac- comanda di consegnarla a un centro di smaltimento autorizzato. Tampoco deberá utilizarla si se siente cansado o indispuesto. PREPARATIVOS • Utilice calzado resistente y pantalones largos cuando corte el césped. No utilice la máquina descalzo o en sandalias. • Utilice siempre protectores para los oídos. • Revise con atención la zona en la que se va a cortar el césped y retire todas las piedras suel- tas, palos, cables u otros objetos. • Antes de utilizar la máquina, compruebe siem- pre que las cuchillas y los dispositivos de fi- jación no están desgastados ni dañados. Sustituya todas las piezas desgastadas o daña- das a la vez para garantizar un adecuado equi- librio.Conexión de la máquina • Utilice únicamente un cable prolongador apro- bado para uso al aire libre y adaptado al conec- tor de la máquina. En caso de dudas, diríjase a su distribuidor. • Para mejorar la seguridad, se recomienda conectar un disyuntor de pérdida a tierra con una corriente de pérdida no superior a 30 mA entre la toma de la pared y el cable prolongador. • Antes de utilizar la máquina, compruebe siem- pre que el cable prolongador no está dañado. No utilice la máquina si detecta algún daño. FUNCIONAMIENTO • Corte el césped únicamente de día o en condi- ciones de buena iluminación. • Si es posible, evite cortar el césped cuando esté húmedo. • Camine con paso seguro en los terrenos inclina- dos. • Camine, no corra. • Si utiliza un cortacésped con ruedas, corte de través por los terrenos inclinados, nunca hacia arriba y hacia abajo. • Extreme las precauciones cuando cambie de sentido en un terreno inclinado. • No corte el césped en pendientes con una incli- nación superior a 15º. • Extreme las precauciones al dar marcha atrás o tirar del cortacésped. • Apague el motor si necesita inclinar el cort- acésped para pasar sobre superficies que no sean de hierba y para transportarlo desde y hasta la zona en la que se corta el césped. • No utilice nunca el cortacésped con una protec- ción insuficiente o sin los dispositivos de segu- ridad, como por ejemplo, un contenedor de césped. • Arranque el motor con cuidado y siguiendo las instrucciones. Mantenga los pies alejados de las cuchillas.
