Vider le réservoir à essence. Mettre le moteur en 
marche et le laisser tourner jusquà ce quil sarrête 
de luimême. La même essence ne doit pas rester 
plus dun mois dans le réservoir.
Soulever la tondeuse et dévisser la bougie. Verser 
une cuillerée à bouche dhuile à moteur dans le cy-
lindre. Tirer la poignée de démarrage lentement, de 
façon que lhuile se répartisse dans le cylindre. Re-
visser la bougie.
Nettoyer la tondeuse bien et la remiser en un en-
droit...

De volgende symbolen staan op de machine om u 
eraan te herinneren dat voorzichtigheid en oplet-
tendheid bij gebruik vereist zijn.
De symbolen betekenen:
Waarschuwing! Lees vóór gebruik van de 
machine eerst het instructieboek en de vei-
ligheidsvoorschriften.
Waarschuwing! Houd omstanders op af-
stand. Pas op voor het uitwerpen van voor-
werpen.
Waarschuwing! Steek uw hand of voet niet 
onder de kap als de machine loopt.
Waarschuwing! Vóór het verrichten van 
reparaties eerst...

2. Zorg ervoor dat de bougiekabel aangesloten is 
op de bougie.
3. Als de maaimachine is voorzien van een 
gashendel, zet gashendel N dan in de stand vol 
gas   (afb. 7).
4. Koude motor starten: druk de pompballon (de 
Primer) 3 keer goed in (afb. 5,6).
Als men een warme motor start, hoeft men de 
pompballon (de Primer) niet in te drukken. Als 
de motor gestopt is door gebrek aan brandstof, 
vul dan nieuwe brandstof bij en druk de pomp- 
ballon 3 keer in.

Maak de geluiddemper en de directe 
omgeving regelmatig schoon en verwij-
der gras, vuil en brandbaar materiaal.
N.B.! 1 à 2 keer per jaar moet u schoonmaken on-
der de transmissiekap. Stel de laagste maaihoogte 
in. Maak de schroeven los en demonteer de trans-
missiekap (afb. 9). Maak schoon met een borstel of 
met luchtdruk.
De aandrijfwielen moeten één keer per seizoen in-
wendig worden schoongemaakt. Demonteer de 
naafdop, de schroef, de onderlegring en het wiel.

Maak met regelmatige tussenpozen de bougie 
schoon (iedere 100 bedrijfsuren). Gebruik een 
staalborstel voor het schoonmaken. De electro-
deafstand correct afstellen 0,75 mm (afb. 14).
Verwissel de bougie als de electroden al te veel 
verbrand zijn of als de bougie beschadigd is. De 
motorenfabrikanten geven de volgende aanbeve-
lingen:
Voor Briggs & Stratton-motoren moet men een 
Champion J19LM (RJ19LM) of een andere gelijk-
waardig bougie gebruiken.

3. If the lawnmower is equipped with a throttle le-
ver, set throttle lever N in full throttle position 
 (fig. 7).
4. When starting a cold engine: Press down the 
primer fully three times (fig. 5,6).
When starting a warm engine the primer does 
not need to be used. If the engine stops due toa 
lack of petrol, refill and press down the primer 
3 times.

Note that you should clean the area under the tim-
ing gear casing once or twice a year. Set at the low-
est mowing height. Slacken the screws and remove 
the timing gear casing (fig. 9). Clean with a brush 
or compressed air.
The inside of the drive wheels should be cleaned 
once a season. To clean a wheel, remove the hub 
cap, screw, washer, and wheels. Brush or blow the 
gear and the gear ring on the wheel to clean them 
from grass and dirt (fig. 10). Remount the wheel.

ADJUSTMENT OF THE CLUTCH WIRE
If the drive cannot be engaged or disengaged, it 
may be that the clutch wire needs adjusting.
Adjust as follows:
1. Remove the transmission cover by unscrewing 
the screws S (fig. 9).
2. When the clutch loop is released it should be 
possible to pull the mower backwards without 
any resistance. If this is not the case, loosen the 
locking nut U and screw in the nipple T until the 
mower can be moved backwards (fig. 15).
