01 GENERAL 
01.01 This section describes the installation 
procedures necessary to ensure proper opera- 
tion of the STRATA Se & Vle systems. Instaiia- 
tion procedures for the two systems vary only 
in relation to size; all other factors are the same.

1) Remove both side covers from the HKSU...

2) Remove the power supply cable connector at 
P7 in the upper left of the SMAU PCB. (It 
. may be necessary to remove the SEPU PCB 
before doing this.) 
3) Remove the ground straps on the right and 
left side panels of the HKSU as well as the 
two screws at the top corners of the power 
supply. 
4) Pull the top of the power supply forward and 
lift the power supply out of the HKSU. 
5) Test the power supply using the procedure 
in Paragraph 04.14. 
6) Install the new power supply in the HKSU.

4) Connect the 4-wire connector extending 
from the rear of the HPBU-7 inside the power 
supply case as shown in Figure 5. 
5) Mount the HPBU-7 with the two screws re- 
moved in step 3. 
6) Connect the positive terminal on one battery 
to the negative terminal of the other battery 
(in series). 
7) Connect the free negative battery terminal to 
the negative terminal on the HPBU-7. 
8) Connect the free positive battery terminal to 
the positive terminal on the HPBU-7.
