    While using UPDAX at the dot (.), type in the first letter of the command you want to w a 
    spaq then the name of the table you choose. Tie mm displays information asked for, or 
    displays a prompt followed by a colon c) indicating it is waiting for additional information.

    If a space and a question mark (?) is typed after the command and table name, thi -em 
    displays ail of the HELP prompts to guide you though the procedure. 
    ‘E&de 3-l is a list of valid UPDATE axnmands and optional modifiers. FolIowing the name is 
    the abbreviation you can enter instead 
    of typing the full name. UF’D,UE cxxnmands LIQ

    UFDATE is used to make changes to database entries created through the INST~ program. T&is 
    chapter explains the UPDATE program and gives specifii instructions for using the program.

    UPDATE prompts is displayed.

    listing mailboxes in various ways.

    3.1 UNDERSTANDING UPDATE 
    Adds, changes, and deletions of information are aax)mplished *&rough the UPDATE program. 
    Use of UPDATE does not impact *em operation. 
    w UPDATE Commands

    De following commands are used in the UPDATE program. Tb use the commands with each 
    configuration tabI% refer to the specific table section of this chapter. 
    LIST Use IJST to print or display information stored in the Toshiba 
    VP System database. This is the information you entered during 
    lNSTALL and the default values. To obtain a printout of the entire 
    &tabase, at the dot (.) prompt, enter 
    When listing the entire database, each COS is shown with only the 
    .SCHEDULE and INFORMATION Tables pertaining to that FOS.

    made during INSTALL, alter default information, change the system

    3.2 USING UPDATE 
    llte Option Control Chip (OCC) contains the features the lixhiba VP System is equippfxl with. 
    You cannot enter the 
    UPDATE program if the OCC is not installed or if the OCC is generating 
    hardware errors Refer to tbehzshhtbn and M&me manual -

    Getting Ready 
    Refer tqthe khdladon and M&we manual - lNsI4UATION for instructions on 
    connect& the terminal. Refer to the UNDER!XANDlNG CONFIGURATION chapter, 
    hsuring Security section, for information on entering and cbnging the password. 
    Entering UPDATE 
    To enter LPDATE, at the @ prompt type:

    TBe terminal displays the following message: 
    l3e dot (.) prompt indicates the UPDATE is ready for a command. 
    UPDATE does not work when an installation is inamplete. If you enter UF’DATE after an 
    installation has been suspended, the system prompts that an instalbtion is in progress. You 
    must finish the installation before you update the information. (Qpe IN at the @ prompt.) 
    Exiting UPDATE 
    Exiting saves the changes to the hard disk. Tb exit UF’DATE at any time, at the dot (.) prompt
