16. Servicing 16.8 Replacement of the high density dustfilter CAUTION:The high densityfilter must be replaced on a regular basis, depending on the environment condi- tions of the projector. WARNING:Switch off the projector and unplug the power cord before starting the procedure. Necessary parts Newfilter (available kit : R98010085, contains 5 high densityfilters and one cleanablefilter) How to replace 1. Remove the front cover, see Removal of the front cover, page 314. 2. Push bothfilter holders to the outside. Image 16-12 Filter replacement 3. Take out thefilter and insert a new one. Necessary parts Newfilter when needed (available kit : R98010085, contains 5 HEPAfilters and one cleanablefilter) How to remove 1. Remove the front cover, see Removal of the front cover, page 314. 2. Release the thumb screw (1) 3. Pull the bottom holder to the front. 1 Image 16-13 4. At the same time, take out thefilter. Clean the dustfilter 1. Remove most contamination with a vacuum cleaner. 2. Blow remaining dust away with compressed air in an other room or outside. If you cannot clean thefilter anymore, insert a new one. How to install 1.
