turning	OFF	the	power	switch	and	disconnecting	the

stick	to	the	components	or	generate	static	charges.
     NOTE
    \bbout sending or receiving faxes
When the \bower \blug is un\blugged, the machine cann\Iot send or
    receive faxes.
When a job is waiting to be printed
The job is deleted when you turn OFF the \bower switch.
    \bbout jobs stored in \fe\fory
Jobs can be stored in memory for a\b\broximately five minutes
after the \bower \blug has been un\bl\Iugged. To view jobs stored in
    memory, see the following.
“Managing Faxes Stored in Memory” (→P.6-19)

     C\bUTION
Never use volatile liquids such \Ias thinner, benzene, acetone,
or any other chemical cl\Ieaner to clean the machine\I. These
    can damage the mac\Ihine com\bonents.
Precautions to take when cleaning th\Re feeder or the
    platen glass cover
Do not dam\ben the cl\Ioth too much, as this ma\Iy tear the
    document or damage \Ithe machine.
Precautions to take when closing the\R feeder or the
    platen glass cover
Be careful not to get your fingers caught.\I
Precautions to take when you get toner onto your
    hands or into clothing
If toner gets on your hands or clothi\Ing, wash them
    immediately with cold water.
The toner sets onto hands or into clothing if you try to wash
it with warm water. Once it is set, \Iyou can hardly remove the
    toner stains.
