    •ToshutdownHP-UXandreboottheserver,issuetheshutdown -rcommand.
    VerifyingtheServerConfigurationUsingBootConsoleHandler
    TogotheInformationMenu,enterinfromtheBCHMainMenu.Usethecorrespondingcommand
    fromthemenutoverifytheenterandquantityofprocessors,memory,andI/Ocards:
    1.ToenterthePOSSEshell,enterCOfromtheiLOMPMainMenu.Tolistallthecategories

    TroubleshootingMethodology
    WARNING!Ensurethatthesystemispoweredoffandallthepowersourceshavebeen
    disconnectedfromtheserverbeforeworkingwiththeserver.
    VoltagesarepresentatvariouslocationswithintheserverwheneveranACpowersourceis
    connected.Thisvoltageispresentevenwhenthemainpowerswitchisintheoffposition.
    Failuretoobservethiswarningcanresultinpersonalinjuryordamagetoequipment.
    CAUTION:Donotoperatetheserverformorethanfiveminuteswithanycover(including
    diskdrives)removed.Ifyouarehot-swappingafan,reinstallthecoverwithinfiveminutesto
    preventoverheating.Damagetosystemcomponentscanresultduetoimpropercoolingairflow.
    Totroubleshoottheserverwithonlinediagnostictools,youmustbefamiliarwiththeHP-UX
    operatingsystem.YoushouldalsobefamiliarwiththeOfflineDiagnosticsEnvironment(ODE)
    whichrunsfromBCH.Installbothonlineandofflinetroubleshootingprogramsonyoursystem
    beforetroubleissuspected.Descriptionsanduserinformationaboutofflinetroubleshooting

    Usetheonlinediagnostictoolsifyoucanbootyoursystem.Onlinetroubleshootingprograms

    Ifyoucannotbootyoursystem,runtheofflinetroubleshootingtoolfromtheODECDthatships
    withyourserver.ODECDsareplatform-specificforPA-RISCservers.

    UsingtheFrontPanelPowerButton
    TheserverPowerbuttononthefrontpaneloperatesdifferently,dependingonhowlongthe
