•  Read these instructions.

manufacturer’s instructions.

•   Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type 
plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. 
A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. 
The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the 
provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for 
replacement of the obsolete outlet.
•   Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at 
plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from   
the apparatus.
•   Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
•   Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long 
periods of time.
•   Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when 
the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord 
or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the 
apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not 
operate normally, or has been dropped.
•   Do not push objects into apparatus vents or slots because fire or electric 
shock hazards could result. • 
 No naked (open) flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed 
on or near the apparatus.
•   The device has been evaluated for use in tropical and moderate 
climates only.
•   The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing. No  objects 
filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on or near the apparatus.
•   Place apparatus in a stable location so it will not fall causing product 
damage or bodily harm.
•   Operate the apparatus only from the low level audio line output jack of 
the computer or of an audio device.
•   If headphone jack is provided, the following warning should be observed: 
Excessive or extended sound pressure from earphones and headphones 
can cause hearing damage or loss. Listen at reasonable volume level.
•   For portable apparatus or apparatus weighing 7kg (15 lbs) or less: 
the product label may be affixed under a lid, on the exterior of the 
bottom, or on the stands of the apparatus.
•   The apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains by placing the power/
standby switch in the standby position and unplugging the power cord of 
the apparatus from the AC mains receptacle.
•   The socket-outlet (receptacle) shall be installed near the equipment 
and shall be easily accessible and the AC mains disconnect device (plug) 
shall remain readily operable.
•   Due to environmental concerns, please follow battery disposal recycling 
instructions following at the end of the product life.
•   Danger of explosion if the remote control battery is incorrectly 
replaced.  replace only with the same or equivalent type.

➍ Using the auxiliary input To use the auxiliary input on the right speaker, plug your 
MP3 player or other device into the auxiliary jack using 
a 3.5 mm cable (not included). To use the RCA auxiliary 
input jacks on the rear of the subwoofer, plug your 
Logitech Squeezebox, DVD player, or game console into 
the RCA jacks using a 2-channel RCA cable (not included). 
If you are using the headphone output on your device, 
make sure the volume level on your device is set to 80% 
or higher. To  adjust the volume on the speakers, use the 
controls on the front of the right speaker.
 TroubleshootingSee below for solutions to common problems. If you have more questions about your Logitech® speakers,   
visit www.logitech.com/support.
•   If one speaker doesn’t produce sound, unplug your speakers and plug them in again. 
•   Make sure the left speaker is plugged into the yellow RCA jack on the  subwoofer. 
•   Make sure the speakers are plugged into an AC outlet, the speaker power is on, and speaker volume and source 
volume are turned up.
•   Try connecting the speakers to an alternate audio source - for example, a MP3 or CD player. 
•   Sound from the speaker is muted whenever headphones are plugged in. Try removing them to restore sound 
to the speakers.
•   Make sure the cable from the soundcard to the main speaker is inserted all the way.

Logitech hardware product limited warrantyLogitech warrants to the original purchaser that your Logitech hardware product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship 
for 2  years from the date of purchase. Except where prohibited by applicable law, this warranty is nontransferable and is limited to the original 
purchaser. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary under local laws. 
Logitech’s entire liability and your exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty shall be, at Logitech’s option, (1) to repair or replace the hardware, 
or (2) to refund the price paid, provided that the hardware is returned to the point of purchase or such other place as Logitech may direct 
with a copy of the sales receipt or dated itemized receipt. Shipping and handling charges may apply, except where prohibited by applicable 
law. Logitech may, at its option, use new or refurbished or used parts in good working condition to repair or replace any hardware product. 
Any  replacement hardware product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty(30) days, whichever is longer 
or for any additional period of time that may be applicable in your jurisdiction.
This warranty does not cover problems or damage resulting from (1) accident, abuse, misapplication, or any unauthorized repair, modification 
or disassembly; (2) improper operation or maintenance, usage not in accordance with product instructions or connection to improper voltage 
supply; or (3) use of consumables, such as replacement batteries, not supplied by Logitech except where such restriction is prohibited by 
applicable law.
How to obtain warranty support.  Before submitting a warranty claim, we recommend you visit the support section   
at www.logitech.com/support for technical assistance. Valid warranty claims are generally processed through the point of purchase during 
the  first  thirty (30) days after purchase; however, this period of time may vary depending on where you purchased your product – please 
check with Logitech or the retailer where you purchased your product for details. Warranty claims that cannot be processed through the point

➌ Einsatz von KopfhörernWenn Sie einen Kopfhörer mit den Z523-Lautsprechern verwenden 
möchten, schließen Sie diesen an der Kopfhörerbuchse des rechten 
Lautsprechers an. Die Lautstärke der Kopfhörer wird über die Regler auf 
der Vorderseite des rechten Lautsprechers eingestellt.

➍ AUX-Eingang An der AUX-Buchse des rechten Lautsprechers können 
über ein 3,5-mm-Kabel (nicht im Lieferumfang 
enthalten) ein MP3-Player oder ein anderes Gerät 
angeschlossen werden. An der AUX-Cinch-Eingangsbuchse 
auf der Rückseite des Subwoofers können über ein 
2-Kanal-Cinchkabel (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) 
eine Squeezebox von Logitech, ein DVD-Player oder 
eine Spielekonsole angeschlossen werden. Wenn Sie 
den Kopfhörerausgang des Geräts verwenden, muss die 
Lautstärke des Geräts auf mindestens 80% eingestellt sein. 
Stellen Sie die Wiedergabelautstärke über die Regler auf 
der Vorderseite des rechten Lautsprechers ein.

•   Falls ein Lautsprecher keinen Ton erzeugt, trennen Sie die Verbindung der Lautsprecher und schließen Sie sie 
erneut  an. 
•   Achten Sie darauf, den linken Lautsprecher an der gelben Cinch-Buchse des Subwoofers anzuschließen. 
•   Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Lautsprecher über eine Steckdose mit dem Stromnetz verbunden und eingeschaltet 
sind  und dass die Lautstärke der Lautsprecher und des Quellgeräts aufgedreht ist.
•   Schließen Sie die Lautsprecher an einer anderen Audioquelle (z. B. einem CD- bzw. MP3-Player oder Radio) an. 
•   Sobald ein Kopfhörer angeschlossen wird, erfolgt keine Tonausgabe mehr über die Lautsprecher. 
Um  diese  Tonausgabe wiederherzustellen, trennen Sie die Kopfhörerverbindung.
•   Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Hauptlautsprecher ordnungsgemäß an die Soundkarte angeschlossen ist.

Beschränkte Garantie für Hardwareprodukte von LogitechLogitech garantiert, dass Ihr Logitech Hardwareprodukt für 2 Jahre ab dem Kaufdatum keine Material- und Verarbeitungsfehler aufweisen wird. Außer dort, 
wo dies vom anwendbaren Recht untersagt ist, ist diese Garantie nicht übertragbar und auf den Originalkäufer beschränkt. Diese Garantie gewährt Ihnen 
besondere gesetzliche Rechte, Sie können jedoch auch andere Rechte besitzen, die je nach örtlichen Gesetzen unterschiedlich sind.
