ENGLISH - 41 Basic Operation Projecting Check the connections of the peripheral devices and connection of the power cord (Æpage 36) and switch on the power (Æpage 38) to start the projector. Select the image and adjust the state of the image. Selecting the image Select an input signal. Side Control/Remote Control Operation J You can press the button on the side control or the remote control to select INPUT 1/2/3 as input source. Remote Control Operation J Press the , , or button on the remote control. Each time you press the button, the input signal will be changed. Attention Images may not be projected properly depending on the connected device a\ nd DVD, video tape, etc. to be played. Select a z system format that is suitable for the input signal [Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr ] or [RGB] in the [Input] menu (Æpage 50). Check the aspect ratio of the screen and the image and select the optimu\ m aspect ratio under the [Screen] menu z (Æpage 59). Adjusting the image Adjusting the position of the lens J Press the button on the remote control or the button on the side control.1 ) [Lens shift] is displayed on the screen for four seconds. z While the display appears, press ▲▼2 ) ◄► to move the image horizontally and vertically. Press the button on the remote control. The Keystone dialog box appears. Press ▲▼ to correct keystone distortion. The keystone adjustment can be stored (Æpage 60). OperationScreen image Reduce the upper width with press ▲. Reduce the lower width with press ▼. For EZ570 series, EW630 series J and EX600 series. Press the button on the remote control to switch the [Standard] (for Vertical/Horizontal) / [Corner correction] adjustment. The [Standard] or [Corner correction] adjustment dialog box appears. Press ▲▼◄► to correct the Standard or Corner distortion. The [Standard] or [Corner correction] adjustment can be stored. (Æpage 60) Standard J Corner correction J Press the button on the remote control to switch [Corner correction] adjustment, press the button on the remote control to select the corner you want to adjust. The top left corner adjustment as an example: Note The white arrows indicate that there is no correction. z A red arrow indicates the direction of correction. z An arrow disappears at the maximum correction. z If you press and hold the button for z 3 seconds or more , the keystone adjustment will be canceled (Æpage 60). The adjustable range is limited depending on the input z signal. [Standard] and [Corner correction] functions cannot z be adjusted at the same time. 50 - ENGLISH Settings Input menu Select [Input] from the Main Menu (see “Navigating through the menu” on page 47), then select the item from the sub-menu. Input 1 Press ▲▼ to select [Input 1]. 1 ) Press ► to access the submenu.2 ) Press ▲▼ to select [RGB(PC analog)], 3 ) [RGB(Scart)], [DVI-D], [DVI-D(HDCP)] or [HDMI]. Press the button.4 ) JComputer System Selection This projector automatically tunes to various types of computers with its Multi-scan system and Auto PC Adjustment. If a computer is selected as a signal source, this projector automatically detects the signal format and tunes to project a proper image without any additional settings. (Signal formats provided in this projector are shown on pages 109 -113.) When the projector cannot recognize the connected signal conforming to the provided PC Systems, Auto is displayed on the System Menu box and the Auto PC adjustment function works to display proper images. If the image is not projected properly, a manual adjustment is required. There is no signal input from the computer. Check the connection between your computer and the projector. The preset system is manually adjusted in the PC adjust Menu. The adjusted data can be stored in Mode 1-10. PC Systems provided in this projector is chosen. The projector chooses a proper system provided in the projector and displays it. * Mode 1 and SVGA 1 are examples. Press ▲▼ to select [System].1 ) Press ► or the button to 2 ) access the submenu.
