    Settings
    Filter counter
    This function is used to set a frequency for the filter 
    replacement.
    Press ▲▼ to select [Filter counter].1 ) 
    Press ► or the  button to 2 ) 
    access the submenu items.
    Filter counter J
    Show the total accumulated time of the filter use timer 
    setting.
    Filter counter remaining J
    The remaining time for the filter counter is displayed 
    in units of 10%.
     
    This is displayed in red when the remaining time is 10%. z
    Filter counter timer J
    To set a timer. When the projector reaches the 
    selected time the filter warning icon appears on the 
    screen.
    Press ▲▼ to select [Filter counter 1 ) 
    timer] and then press the  
    button.
    Press ▲▼ to set the timer. 2 ) 
    Select from [Off/1000H/2000H/3000H/  z
    4 000H/6000H/8000H/9000H/12000H] 
    depending on the use environment.
    The situation which different icons appear as  z
    below shown:
    When the remaining time is less 
    than 10%.
    When the remaining time is 0, the 
    filter replacement is necessary.
    When the projector reaches 
    a time set by user in the timer 
    setting.
    Filter counter reset J
    After replacing the filter, be sure to reset the timer.
    Press ▲▼ to select [Filter counter 1 ) 
    reset].
    Press the  button. 2 ) 
    [Filter counter Reset?] appears. Select [Yes]  z
    to continue. Another confirmation dialog 
    box appears, select [Yes] to reset the [Filter 
    counter].
    Test pattern
    Results of adjustment of the position , size and other 
    factors are not reflected in test patterns. Ensure the 
    input signal is displayed before performing various 
    kinds of setting.
    Press ▲▼ to select [Test pattern].1 ) 
    Press ► or the  button to 2 ) 
    access the submenu items.
    Press ▲▼ to go backwards and 3 ) 
    forwards between test patterns as 
    below.
    [Color], [Gradation 1], [Gradation 2],   z
    [Gradation 3], [Gradation 4], [All white], [All 
    black] and [Cross].
    Note
    Even while the test pattern is displayed, the zoom,  z
    focus, lens shift, shutter, and power off functions 
    take priority.
    Factory default
    This function returns all setting values except for [PIN 
    code lock], [Logo PIN code lock] and [Filter counter] 
    to the factory default settings.
    Press ▲▼ to select [Factory default].1 ) 
    Press the  button.2 ) 
    [Return to Factory default?] appears. Select  z
    [Yes] to continue. Another confirmation dialog 
    box appears, select [Yes] to return to [Factory

    Information
    Select [Information] from the Main Menu (see 
    “Navigating through the menu” on page 47), 
    then select the item from the sub-menu.
    Remote ControlSide Control
    Input Source Information 
    Display 
    The Information Menu is used for checking the status 
    of the image signal being projected and the operation 
    of the projector.
    You can also press the  button on the remote 
    control to display the Information menu.
    Input J
    The selected input source is displayed.
    System J
    The selected system is displayed.
    H-sync freq. J
    The selected H-sync freq. is displayed.
    The horizontal frequency of the input signal is 
    displayed in KHz, or - - - KHz when no signal.
    V-sync freq. J
    The selected V-sync freq. is displayed.
    The vertical frequency of the input signal is displayed 
    in Hz, or - - - Hz when no signal. Numbers of Hz 
    doubles when during Interlace.
    Screen J
    The selected Screen size is displayed.
    Language J
    The selected language is displayed.
    Lamp power J
    The selected lamp mode is displayed.
    Lamp runtime J
    The cumulative lamp operating time is displayed.
    Filter counter J
    The filter using time filter is displayed.
    Power management J
    [Off] , [Ready] or [Shut down], and [Timer] are 
    displayed.
    Key lock J
    The selected Key lock icon is displayed.
    PIN code lock J
    [Off], [On 1] or [On 2] is displayed.
    Shutter management J*
    To display the setting of [Protection] and time.
    * (Only for EZ570 series, EW630 series and EX600 
    series.)
    Simple mode J
    To display the configuration of a simple remote control 
    mode.
    Remote control J
    The selected remote control code is displayed.
    Serial number J
    The serial number of the projector is displayed.
    The serial number is used to service the projector.

    Network
    Select [Network] from the Main Menu (see 
    “Navigating through the menu” on page 47), 
    then select the item from the sub-menu.
    Remote ControlSide Control
    Projector name
    You can change the projector name to be displayed 
    on the network.
    Press ▲▼ to select [Projector name].1 ) 
    Press the  button.2 ) 
    Press ▲▼◄► buttons to set the 3 ) 
    [Projector name].
    Network setup
    You can make detailed wired LAN settings.
    Press ▲▼ to select [Network setup], 1 ) 
    and press  button.
    Press ▲▼ to select an item, and 2 ) 
    change the setting according to the 
    instructions.
    DHCP 
    (DHCP client function)
    On:  If a DHCP server exists in the 
    network to which the projector 
    is connected, the IP address 
    will automatically be acquired.
    Off:   If a DHCP server does not 
    exist in the network to which 
    the projector is connected, 
    additionally set [IP address, 
    [Subnet mask] and [ Default 
    gateway].
    IP address (Display of IP address 
    and setting)
    Enter the IP address if DHCP 
    server is not used.
    Subnet mask
    (Displaying and 
    setting the subnet

    If not using a DHCP server, 
    enter the subnet mask

    Network control
    Set when you want to control the projector from a 
    computer connected to the network.

    Press ► or the  button to 2 ) 
    access the submenu items.
    Press ▲▼ to select one item and press 3 ) 
    ◄► to switch the function between 
    [On] and [Off].
    WEB controlSet to [On] to control with the Web 
    browser.
    PJLink controlSet to [On] to control with the 
    PJLink protocol.
    Command

    Set to [On] to control with the 
    SERIAL IN terminal control 
    command format.
    AMX D. D.Set to [On] to control with the  
    AMX Device Discovery.
    RoomViewSet to [On] to control with the

    Settings
    "Crestron RoomView" is a system developed by 
    Crestron Electronics, Inc. which collectively manage 
    and control multiple system devices connected via 
    the network, from a computer. This projector supports 
    "Crestron RoomView".

    English.).

    Network status
    This function shows the LAN setting environment of 
    the currently selected projector.
    Press ▲▼ to select [Network status].1 ) 
    Press ► or the  button to 2 ) 
    show the information of the current 
    projector status.
    Network factory default
    You can reset the network setting to the factory 
    default of the projector.
    Press ▲▼ to select [Network factory 1 ) 
    default].
    Press the  button.2 ) 
    [Return to Network factory default?] appears.  z
    Select [Yes] to continue. Another confirmation 
    dialog box appears, select [Yes] to return to

    The projector has a network fuction, and the following operations are av\
    ailable from the computer using the web 
    browser control.
    Setting and adjustment of the projector. z
    Display of the projector status. z
    Transmission of an E-mail message when there is a problem with the projec\
    tor. z
    Note
    A LAN cable is required to use the network function. z

    Communication with an E-mail server is required to use the E-mail function. Confirm that the E-mail can be  z
    used beforehand.
    Use shielded LAN cable (STP cable) that is compatible with category 5 or above. z
    Use a LAN cable with length of 100m or shorter. z

    Accessing from the Web browser
    Activate the Web browser in the personal computer.1 ) 
    Enter the IP address set by the projector into the URL input field of the Web browser.2 ) 
    Enter your “ User name” and “ Password”.3 ) 
      zThe factory default settings are user1 (user privileges)  
    or admin1 (administrator privileges) for the use name  
    and panasonic (lowercase letters) for the password.
    Click [OK] to display the Projector  4 ) 
    status page.
      z“Projector status” page is displayed.
    Note
    Avoid activating two or more Web browser simultaneously to work out setting or control actions. z
    Change the password first of all. z
    Administrator privileges enable the use of all functions. User privileges enable the use of only “Projector  z
    status”, “Network status”, “Basic control” and “Change password”.
    If you want to control the projector using a Web browser, set [Network control] in the network menu to [On]. z
    There are some control items used with the JavaScript function in the setting pages. If the web browser is set  z
    not to use this JavaScript function, it may not control the projector properly.

    6 Displays the firmware version of the network.
    7 Displays the AV mute status.
    8 Displays the volume status.
    9 Displays the status of input switch.
    10  Displays the intake temperature status of the  
         projector.
    11  Displays the the around lamp temperature 
    status of the projector. 
    12     Displays the optics module temperature 
    status of the projector.
    13 Displays the use time of the lamp.
    14  Displays the self diagnostics information.

    If [Error (Detail)] is displayed in the self-diagnosis information display column on the [Projector status] screen, 
    click the part to display the details of the error.
    Depending on the nature of the error, the projector may be placed in the standby mode for its own protection.•

    MAIN CPU BUSTrouble has occurred in the microcomputer circuitry. Consult your dealer.
    FA NTrouble has occurred in the fan or its drive circuit. Consult your dealer.
    INTAKE AIR TEMPER ATURE
    Intake air temperature is high. It could be because it is used in an environment of high 
    temperature such as close to a heating device, etc., the air intake is blocked, or the air 
    filter is clogged.
    AROUND LAMP TEMPER ATUREThe temperature around the lamp is too high. Exhaust may be blocked, or [Fan control] 
    mode may be set wrong. See [Fan control] of the Functional Manual. (Æpage 66)
    OPTICS MODULE TEMPER ATUREOptics module temperature is high. The exhaust air port maybe blocked or the air filter 
    is clogged.
    LAMP REMAIN TIMEThe lamp runtime has exceeded the prescribed cumulative time, and it is now time to 
    replace the lamp.
    LAMP STATUSThe lamp has failed to light.
    Wait a short while for the lamp to cool off, and then turn on the power.
    APERTURE(CONTR AST-SHUTTER)Trouble has occurred in the contrast shutter circuitry. Consult your dealer.
    SHUTTERThere is a problem with shutter.
    AIR FILTERThere is a problem with the air filter unit.
    FILTER UNITThe air filter unit is not installed.
