Chapter 6 Appendix — Precautions for attaching the Ceiling Mount Bracket ENGLISH - 221 Precautions for attaching the Ceiling Mount Bracket fWhen installing the projector to a ceiling, be sure to use the specified optional Ceiling Mount Bracket (Model No.: ET - PKD520H (for High Ceilings), ET - PKD520S (for Low Ceilings), ET - PKD520B (Projector Mount Bracket)). The Ceiling Mount Bracket (Model No.: ET - PKD520H (for High Ceilings), ET - PKD520S (for Low Ceilings)) is used in combination with the Ceiling Mount Bracket (Model No.: ET - PKD520B (Projector Mount Bracket)). f Attach the drop-prevention set that comes with the Ceiling Mount Bracket to the projector . If you need the drop- prevention set (hex bolt with washer (M10 x 40), wire rope: TTRA0143) separately, consult your dealer. fAsk a qualified technician to do the installation work such as mounting the projector on the ceiling. fPanasonic takes no responsibility for any damage to the projector resulting from use of the Ceiling Mount Bracket not manufactured by Panasonic or the inappropriate choice of location for installing the Ceiling Mount Bracket, even if the warranty period of the projector has not expired. fUnused products must be removed promptly by a qualified technician. fReferring to the following screw holes for ceiling mount diagram, use screws of sufficient length to reach the embedded nuts. fUse a torque screwdriver or Allen torque wrench to tighten bolts to their specified tightening torques. Do not use electric screwdrivers or impact screwdrivers. f Read the Installation Instructions of the Ceiling Mount Bracket for details. fThe model numbers of accessories and optional accessories are subject to change without prior notice. Chapter 6 Appendix — Installing the Interface Board (optional) 222 - ENGLISH Installing the Interface Board (optional) This projector is equipped with two SLOT NX-specification slots. There are four SDI input terminals and one DIGITAL LINK input terminal equipped on this projector as the standard video input terminals. The input for HDMI, DVI- D, and SDI can be added by installing the optional Interface Board in the slot. Requesting a qualified technician to install or remove the optional Interface Board is recommended. A malfunction may occur due to static electricity. Consult your dealer. Before installing or removing f Always turn of f the power of the projector before installing or removing the Interface Board. gAlways follow the procedure of “Switching of f the projector” (x page 63) when turning off the power. fDo not touch the connector section of the Interface Board directly with your hands. gThe component may be damaged by the static electricity . fRemove the static charge from your body by touching to surrounding metal, etc., in advance to prevent the static electricity damage. fT ake care not to get injured when installing or removing the Interface Board. g Hands may be injured by the opening of the blank slot or the edge of the bracket of the Interface Board. fWhen installing the Interface Board to the slot, insert it into the connector straight and slowly . gIt may not operate or cause malfunction if it is not correctly installed. fT o use the 3G-SDI Terminal Board with Audio (Model No.: TY - TBN03G), it is necessary for the firmware version of the 3G-SDI Terminal Board with Audio to be 2.00 or later. Consult your dealer regarding the version update to the latest firmware if the version is earlier than 2.00. For details on how to confirm the firmware version, refer to “How to confirm the firmware version of the 3G-SDI Terminal Board with Audio” (x page 31). fThe figure indicating the installation and removal of the Interface Board is using the Interface Board for HDMI 2 input (Model No.: ET - MDNHM10) as an example. (Fig. 1) fRemove the four screws fixing the slot cover by rotating counterclockwise with a Phillips screwdriver . The removed screws are used to fix the Interface Board. f When removing the fourth screw , hold the slot cover with your hand so it will not fall. fT o replace from other Interface Board, remove the Interface Board following the procedure in “How to remove the Interface Board” (x page 223). 2) Install the Interface Board to the projector . (Fig. 2) fInsert the guide groove of the Interface Board aligned to the salient of the slot. Insert the bracket firmly all the way in. 3) Fix the Interface Board. (Fig. 3) fT ighten and fix with the four screws removed in Step 1).

Store it so it can be attached in the future. How to remove the Interface Board Handle Fig. 1 1) Remove the Interface Board. (Fig. 1) f Remove the four screws fixing the Interface Board by rotating counterclockwise with a Phillips screwdriver . The removed screws are used to fix the slot cover . fHold the handle of the Interface Board and remove it slowly . 2) Attach the slot cover . fAttach the stored slot cover , and tighten and fix with the four screws removed in Step 1). fT o replace with other Interface Board, attach the Interface Board following the procedure in “How to install the Interface Board” (x page 222). Attention f Always attach the slot cover on the blank slot. fStore the removed Interface Board inside an antistatic bag.
