    The following parameters of the RS-232C interface can be set: 
     Baud rate

      Flow control

    (1)  Baud Rate  
    This parameter is to choose a communication speed of the RS-232C 
    interface.  
    As “9600 bps” has been chosen as defa
    ult, change it in accordance with

    After making a choice, press the  [PAUSE] key.   
     
     
      
      
    NOTES:  
    1.  Choose a desired baud rate by  using the

    2.7.3  IP Address Setting  (TCP/IP) 
     
     
     
     
     
      When the printer is connected to a PC through TCP/IP by using a LAN 
    cable, it is necessary to set an IP address in the System Mode for system 
    administrators.  
     
    The System Mode for system administrators consists of the following 
    menus.  
     
     
     
     
     
     
    DIAG.  Vx.x  This menu is used
     to check and print the printer 
    system information and maintenance counter 
    status.   
    PARAMETER SET
     
     
      This menu is used to set the printer parameters. 
    ADJUST SET  This menu is used to make a fine adjustment of a  print start position, cut position, etc. 
     
     
    TEST PRINT  This menu is used to perform print tests.   
     
     
    SENSOR ADJ.  This menu is used  to check the sensor statuses 
    and adjust each sensor. 
     
     
    RAM CLEAR  This menu is used to perform a RAM clear.   DO NOT USE this menu. 
     
     
    IP ADDRESS  This menu is used to set an IP address.   
     
     
    BASIC  This menu is used to  enable the printer to use 
    Basic program. 
     
     
    FOR FACTORY  This menu is intended for an in-process  inspection.  Do not use this menu.

      In this section, how to set the IP address is described. 
    First, you need to access the System Mode for system administrators.

     While holding down the  [FEED] and [PAUSE]  keys, turn on the 
    printer. 
     
     
     
     
     
     
    2.  When “RESET” appears on the LCD Message Display, release 
    the  [FEED]  and [PAUSE]  keys. 
     
      Now, the printer is in the System  Mode for system administrators. 
     
     
    3.  Press  the  [FEED] or [RESTART]  key until “IP ADDRESS”
