    entertainment centerorsimilar cabinet. Without the
    IROUT
    connection, thedevice typically wouldneedtobe visible to
    operate itremotely.

    TVremote control canoperate yourTVand many other
    devices suchascable converter boxes,satellite receivers,
    VCRs, DVDplayers, andHTIBs (hometheater inabox), even
    if they aredifferent brands.
    Ifyouhave aToshiba device:
    YourTVremote controlispreprogrammedtooperate most
    Toshiba devices

    Ifyouhave anon-Toshiba deviceoraToshiba device
    that theremote control isnot preprogrammed to
    operate:
