    Brother BFP Software

    Brother Internet Fax Printing
    Software

    Overview

Depending on your network configuration and application requirements for
sending faxes via a network, you can choose between Brother Network PC FAX
Software or Brother Internet Fax Printing Software. With either software,
viewable document such as web pages, word documents, PDF documents can be
sent from the users desktop to any standard Facsimile machines, Internet fax
    machines and E-mail addresses.

Brother Internet Fax Printing Software (BFP) is a Windows
    ® 95/98/Me,
    Windows® NT® and Windows® 2000/XP *1 software utility that gives network PC
Fax and Internet Fax functionality from the desktop to users on your network or
    over the Internet.

BFP utilizes SMTP as the transport for sending documents from your PC. This
allows any PC supported by a SMTP mail server to send an Internet FAX even if
that PC does not have direct access to the networked FAX/MFC.

Brother Network PC Fax Software utilizes LPR as the transport for sending
documents from your PC to the networked FAX/MFC for transmission. This
requires that the sending PC has access to the network that the sending
    FAX/MFC is connected.

*1 Windows® XP users must download the Windows® XP version of the BFP Software. Please check
