Wi-Fi/NFC Operating the camera using a smartphone/tabletSQW0195 - 211 - Adding location information to pictures in the camera You can write the location information acquired on your smartphone to a picture recorded in the camera on the same date/time using the Wi-Fi function. GPS Starts location information recording Ends location information recording Sends and writes the location information Start the recording • Location information that is different from the information acquired during recording may be written. Take care regarding the following matters. – Set [Home] of [World Time] of the camera to your home area. – Once a smartphone starts recording the location information, do not change the [Home] setting of [World Time] of the camera. • The location information cannot be written to pictures recorded without setting [Clock Set]. ■Recording location information and taking pictures Start recording the location information on your smartphone Start “Image App” Select [ ] Select [ ] Select [ Start geotagging] Take pictures using the camera End recording of the location information on your smartphone Select [ Stop geotagging] to end recording of location information (Continued on the next page)

(→174) ●Caution: Be sure to pay special attention to the privacy, the likeness rights, etc. of the subject when you use this function. Use at your own risk. ●You cannot add location information to the following pictures: • Pictures that already have location information • Motion pictures recorded in [AVCHD] format • Protected pictures • Pictures recorded in the built-in memory • Pictures recorded using cameras other than this unit ●Location information may not be written if there is not enough free space on your card. ●You cannot write location information to a card if the write-protect switch on the card is set to the [LOCK] position. ●For details about the operating procedure, etc., refer to [Help] in the “Image App” menu. ●If you have changed the clock setting of this unit or the smartphone after [T ime sync], perform [Time sync] again. Refer to [Help] in the “Image App” menu for details. ●On the smartphone, you can set the acquisition interval of location information and check the transfer status of location information. Refer to [Help] in the “Image App” menu for details. ●You cannot write location information when the unit is connected to a PC or printer.

Pictures are displayed again when you take or play back pictures. ●[Effect] and [Sound] of the Slide Show are disabled. ●Playback of motion pictures or panorama pictures, and continuous playback of group pictures are not displayed on a TV. ●During the multi/calendar playback, pictures displayed on the screen of this unit are not displayed on TV.
