    A Wi-Fi connection using NFC function is possible by touching the smartphone to this unit, 
    and you can easily transfer images displayed on the screen.
    An image can be sent on site immediately after  taking it, so you can easily send it to the 
    smartphone
    ¢ of your family or friend.¢ Installing the “ Image App ” is required for use.
    1Play back the picture in the camera.2Launch “ Image App ” on the smartphone.
    3While  [ ]  is displayed on the connection 
    screen of the “ Image App ”, touch the 
    smartphone to  [ ] of the camera.
    •
    It may take time to complete the connection.•If a connection attempt by touching fails, restart 
    the “ Image App ”, and then display the screen in 
    step 
    2 again.•To transfer more than one image, repeat steps 
    1 and 3.
    (They cannot be transferred as a batch.)
    •Depending on the environment you are using, it may take a few minutes to complete the image 
    transfer.
    •You do not need to keep the devices in contact with each other while an image is being 
    transferred.
    Transferring images stored in the camera easily
    Preparation:
    (On the camera)

    Set [NFC Operation] to [ON].  (P297)
    •Set [Touch Sharing] to [ON]. (P298)

    •Check that your smartphone is a compatible 
    model.

    You can send location information acquired with a smartphone to the camera. After 
    sending the information, you can also write it on images stored in the camera.

    Location information different from that at the time of recording may be written. Keep the 
    following points in mind:
    –Set the camera’s [Home] setting in [World Time] to your region.
    –Once you start recording location information with your smartphone, do not change the 
    camera’s [Home] setting in [World Time].
    •Location information cannot be written on images that were recorded when the clock was not 
    set.
    Sending images in the camera to an SNS
    1 Select [ ].
    •You can switch the images to be 
    displayed by selecting the icon (
    A) 
    on the top left of the screen. To 
    display images stored in the camera, 
    select [LUMIX].
    2 Touch and hold an image, and drag 
    it to send it to an SNS, etc.

    The image is sent to a web service 
    such as an SNS.

    Cautions for Use:
    Be sure to pay special attention to the privacy, the likeness rights, etc. of the subject 
    when you use this function. Use at your own risk.
    •On the smartphone, you can set the acquisition interval of location information and check the 
    transfer status of location information.
    Refer to [Help] in the “ Image App ” menu for details.
    •(When using “ Image App ” for iOS)
    If you press the Home or On/Off button of the smartphone while location information is being 
    recorded, the recording will stop.
    Not available in these cases:
    •
    The smartphone may fail to acquire location information in China and the border area in the 
    neighbouring countries of China.

    may not be possible.
    •Once the location information is sent to the camera, you can also write it on images by 
    performing [Location Logging] in the [Playback] menu.

    The setting is canceled when the picture is selected

    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.

    Displaying pictures on a TV
    1Select the menu.
    2Select [Via Network] or [Direct], and connect. (P288)
    3Select a device you want to connect.
    •When the connection is established, the screen is displayed.
    4Take or play back pictures on this unit.
    •To change the setting or disconnect, press [Wi-Fi].  (P252)
    •When a TV is connected to this unit, the TV screen may temporarily return to the status before 
    the connection. Pictures are displayed again when you take or play back pictures.
    •[Effect] and [Sound] of the Slide Show are disabled.
    Not available in these cases:
    •
    Motion pictures cannot be played back.•During the multi/calendar playback, pictures displayed on the screen of this unit are not 
    displayed on TV.
    You can display pictures on a TV that supports the 
    Digital Media Renderer (DMR) function of the DLNA 
    standard.
    •
    If you display pictures using the Wi-Fi function, they 
    cannot be output in 4K resolution. To output them in 4K 
    resolution, connect the camera and the TV with an HDMI 
    micro cable.  (P301)

    Set the TV to DLNA waiting mode.
