YoucansendvoicemessagestootherCiscoUnityConnectionuserswithoutdialingtheirextensions.This canbehelpfulwhenyoudonotwanttodisturbauserorwhenyoudonothavetimeforaphoneconversation. Sendingvoicemessagesmayalsohelptoavoidmisunderstandingsthatcanbe"read"intoemailmessages. Youcanaddressavoicemessagetooneormultiplerecipients,andtoprivateandsystemdistributionlists. Dependingontheinputstyleyouareusing,youaddressamessageeitherbysayingthenameofaConnection userordistributionlist,orbyusingthephonekeypadtospellthenameoftheuserorlist,ortoenterthe extensionorlistnumber. Thefollowingspecialdeliveryoptionsareavailable: MarkamessageurgentsothatConnectionsendsitbeforeregularmessages.Urgent RequestareturnreceiptsothatConnectionnotifiesyouwhentherecipientopens themessage.
