    Manual Recording Menu
    The following items can be set.

    							Shooting According to Scene (Subject)
    Common scenes that are often encountered can be recorded with the mostsuitable settings.

    1 Select the Manual recording mode.

    0If the mode is  0039 Intelligent Auto, tap  0039 on the recording screen
    to display the mode switching screen.
    Tap  0015 to switch the recording mode to Manual.

    2 Tap “MENU”.

    0The top menu appears.
    3 Tap “RECORD SETTING”.

    4Tap “SCENE SELECT”.
    .
    0Tap  001C or  001D to move to the previous/next menu.
    0 Tap  L to exit the menu.
    0 Tap  0029 to return to the previous screen.

    automatically using a slow shutter when the
    surrounding is dark.
    To prevent camera shake, use a tripod.
    .0010  SPOTLIGHTPrevents the human subject from appearing too
    bright under light.
    .Memo : 
    0 All scenes of “SCENE SELECT” cannot be set during “TIME-LAPSE
    RECORDING”, “HIGH SPEED RECORDING”, or “AUTO REC”.Adjusting Focus Manually
    Set this when the focus is not clear in Intelligent Auto or when manual
    focusing is desired.

    1 Select the Manual recording mode.

    0If the mode is  0039 Intelligent Auto, tap  0039 on the recording screen
    to display the mode switching screen.
    Tap  0015 to switch the recording mode to Manual.

    4Tap “FOCUS”.

    0Tap  L to exit the menu.

    							6Adjust the focus.
    .
    0Tap  0004 to focus on a distant subject.
    If  0004  appears blinking, focus cannot be set any further.
    0 Tap  002D to focus on a near subject.
    If  002D
     appears blinking, focus cannot be set any nearer.
    7 Tap “SET” to confirm.
    .
    0When focus is confirmed, the focusing frame disappears and  0004 and
    002D  are displayed.
    Adjusting Brightness
    You can adjust the brightness to your preferred level.
    *The following is a screen of the model with Wi-Fi functions.
    1 Select the Manual recording mode.

    0If the mode is  0039 Intelligent Auto, tap  0039 on the recording screen
    to display the mode switching screen.
    Tap  0015 to switch the recording mode to Manual.

    2 Tap “MENU”.

    4Tap “BRIGHTNESS ADJUST”.

     to increase the brightness.

    Memo : 
    0Settings can be adjusted separately for videos and still images.Setting Backlight Compensation
    You can correct the image when the subject appears too dark due to
    backlight.

    0“ADVANCE” is designed to perform more effective backlight
    compensation. Choose this when the backlight compensation is not
    adjusted appropriately by “ON”.
    0 After setting, the tele macro icon  0015 appears.

    compensation effect.Setting White Balance
    You can set the color tone to suit the light source.

    Using MWB
    1 Hold a sheet of plain white paper in front of the lens so that the white
    paper fills the screen.
    2 Position the cursor to “MWB”, and press and hold “SET”.
    Or, press and hold the “MWB” icon.
    3 Release your touch after the menu disappears and  002C lights up.Memo :

    The setting will not change if “MWB” is being tapped too fast (less than 1
    second).Taking Close-up Shots
    You can take close-up shots of an object using the tele macro function.

    You can add animation effects to video recordings.

    							Recording with Animation Effects (ANIMATION EFFECT)
    You can add animation effects to video recordings.
    The animation effects appear when smiles are detected or when the screen
    is touched.
    *The following is a screen of the model with Wi-Fi functions.
    1 Open the LCD monitor.

    0Check if the recording mode is  0010.
    0 If the mode is  0011 still image, tap  0011 on the recording screen to display
    the mode switching screen.
    Tap  0010 to switch the recording mode. (You can also use the  0010/0011
    button on this unit.)
    2 Tap “MENU”.
    .
    0The top menu appears.
    3 Tap “SPECIAL RECORDING”. (Go to step 4.)
    Alternatively, tap “ANIMATION EFFECT” in the shortcut menu. (Go to
    step 5.)

    4Tap “ANIMATION EFFECT”.
    .
    0Tap  L to exit the menu.
    0 Tap  0029 to return to the previous screen.
    5 Select a desired effect and tap “SET”.

    0Tap  001C or  001D to change the effect.
    0 Press the START/STOP button the camera to start recording.
    Press again to stop.
    0 To select another effect again after tapping “SET”, tap  0029.

    (To perform operations other than recording, tap  L to cancel the
