    Retouching
    Note
    •The brightness and colour of pictures you are checking before saving may differ to the actual 
    picture that is saved.
    •[Beauty Retouch] cannot be used on still pictures recorded using [Panorama Shot] in scene 
    mode, on 3D pictures, or on motion pictures.
    •[Beauty Retouch] may not be performed on pictures recorded with other equipment.•Intended retouching may not be possible when  the face detection is not performed properly.•When a subject is wearing glasses, the desired retouch may not be possible.•When a picture bright due to reflected light from a flash or the sun, the retouching effect may be 
    less pronounced.
    •To take pictures appropriate for [Beauty Retouch]:–Record a large, frontal view of the face–Avoid taking pictures in a very dark place–Clearly record the part you intend to retouch•Reallusion is a trademark of Reallusion Inc.
    Set your desired effect.
    •With [Smile] selected, touch [ON] to set.•To continue to add different effects, repeat steps 4 
    and 5.•After finishing the still picture editing, touch [OK]. 
    Selecting [Yes] on the confirmation screen displays 
    the still picture before application and after 
    application.
    To u c h  [ O K ] .
    •When there are several people with arrows added, you can now edit the next person. 
    Repeat Steps 3, 4 and 5.
    To finish editing with one or more people with arrows left unedited, touch [Save].
    •People already edited cannot be edited again. If you want to edit again, save the 
    picture once and go back to select the person again.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.

    You can register up to three sets of beauty retouch settings.
    •Set the retouch settings to the state you wish to register.
    1In Step 6 on P121 , touch [Memory].
    2Touch registration destinations ([My Beauty 1], [My Beauty 2] or [My Beauty 3]).
    •The beauty retouching settings are registered, and the procedure returns to step 6 on 
    P121 .
    Note
    •The [Smile] setting cannot be registered.
    ∫ Using the “My Beauty setting” you have registered
    1In Step 4 on  P119 , touch [ ].
    •[ ] will be displayed only if my beauty preferences have been registered.•The confirmation screen is displayed. Selecting [Yes] enables selection of the registered 
    My Beauty settings.
    2Touch [ ] .
    3Touch [ ] ([My Beauty 1]), [ ] ([My Beauty 2]) or [ ] ([My Beauty 3]).
    •The registered settings can be changed by touching [Change].
    Select [Yes], change the settings by following the procedure in Steps 4 and 5 on  P119 , 
    and touch [OK].
    (To register the changed content as a My Beauty setting, perform the registration 
    procedure again.)
    •The values for [Smile] can be set.•After finishing the still picture editing, touch [OK]. Selecting [Yes] on the confirmation 
    screen displays the still picture before application and after application.
    4Touch [OK] .
    •When there are several people with arrows added, you can now edit the next person.

    Adding image effects ([Artistic Retouch])
    You can add effects to the images you have recorded and change vibrancy and brightness 
    to suit your preferences.
    •
    The processed pictures are newly generated, so be sure that you have enough space in the 
    built-in memory or on the card. Note also that processing will not be possible if the 
    Write-Protect switch of the card is in the [LOCK] position.
    Note
    •[Artistic Retouch] cannot be used on still pictur es recorded using [Panorama Shot] in Scene 
    Mode, on 3D pictures, or on motion pictures.
    •[Artistic Retouch] may not be performed on pictures recorded with other equipment.
    Select a still picture and touch [ ].

    Blurs the background, making the subject stand out.
    Touch [Defocus Effect].
    Touch the part that you want to stand out from the background.
    Drag the slide bar to change the size of the part that will stand out.

    Add an effect to produce a striking picture.
    Touch [Creative Retouch].

    •The page can be changed by touching [ ]/[ ].•When [Toy Effect] is selected, you can change between cool, standard and warm 
    colours by touching colour icons.

    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    [Creative Retouch]
    ItemEffect
    [Expressive] This is a pop art style image effect that emphasises the 
    colour.
    [Retro] This is a soft image effect that gives the appearance of a 
    tarnished photograph.
    [High Key] This effect brightens the image as a whole and creates a 
    soft and light ambience.
    [Dynamic Monochrome] This effect gives a powerful monochrome picture by 
    increasing the contrast.
    [Toy Effect] This effect produces vignetting, making it look like the 
    image was taken with a toy camera.
    [Soft Focus] This effect adds slight blurring over the entire image to give 
    an atmosphere of softness.

    You can modify the saturation or brightness of the picture.
    [Color/Brightness]Touch [Color/Brightness].

    Drag the slide bar to set the effects.

    Improving the Visual Quality at the Touch of a 
    Button ([Auto Retouch])
    This automatically adjusts the balance between the vividness and brightness of the picture 
    that you took.
    •
    The processed pictures are newly generated, so be sure that you have enough space in the 
    built-in memory or on the card. Note also that processing will not be possible if the 
    Write-Protect switch of the card is in the [LOCK] position.
    ¢ These pictures are examples to show the effect.
    Note
    •Depending on the picture, noise may be emphasised by [Auto Retouch].•Effects may be difficult to see depending on the picture.•It may not be possible to perform [Auto Retouch] on pictures which have already been 
    retouched.
    •[Auto Retouch] may not be performed on pictures recorded with other equipment.•[Auto Retouch] is not possible in the following cases:–Motion pictures–3D pictures–Pictures taken in [Panorama Shot] and [Photo Frame] in Scene Mode–Pictures processed using [Image Stamp]

    Stamping images ([Image Stamp])
    Apply your favourite stamps to recorded pictures, including hearts and stars.•The processed pictures are newly generated, so be sure that you have enough space in the 
    built-in memory or on the card. Note also that processing will not be possible if the 
    Write-Protect switch of the card is in the [LOCK] position.
    Select a still picture and touch [ ].
    To u c h
     [Image Stamp].
    Touch the position you wish to stamp.
    •Up to 10 stamps can be applied at once.
    After finishing the picture editing, touch [OK].
    To u c h  [ O K ] .
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.•The picture size is fixed to 5M (4:3), 4.5M (3:2), 3.5M (16:9) or 3.5M (1:1).

    ∫Changing or removing stamps
    Touch the icon below to change or remove a stamp.
    Note
    •
    [Image Stamp] cannot be used on still pictures recorded using [Panorama Shot] in Scene 
    Mode, on 3D pictures, or on motion pictures.
    •When applying a stamp to a picture that is smaller than 3M in size, the picture quality may 
    become deteriorated.
    •When you stamp a picture that was recorded vertically, the picture will be displayed 
    horizontally.

    You can select from 32 different stamps.•The display of [ ] will change to the 
    selected stamp.

    Stam ps] ) Touch the stamp you wish to delete on the screen.

    							Connecting to other equipment

    Connecting to other equipmentPlaying Back Pictures on a TV Screen
    Pictures recorded with this unit can be played back on a TV screen.
    •
    Confirm the terminals on your TV and use a cable compatible with the terminals. Image quality 
    may vary with the connected terminals.

    Connect the camera and a TV.
    •Check the direction of the terminals and plug in/out straight holding onto the plug. (It 
    may result in malfunction by the deforming of the terminal if it is plugged in obliquely or 
    in wrong direction.)
    Preparations: Turn this unit and the TV off.
    To connect with an HDMI mini cable (optional)
    •
    Always use a genuine Panasonic HDMI mini cable (RP-CDHM15, RP-CDHM30: optional).
    Part numbers: RP-CDHM15 (1.5 m) (5 feet), RP-CDHM30 (3.0 m) (10 feet)
    •Audio will be played back as stereo.•Pictures are not displayed on the LCD monitor.–When [VIERA Link] is [Off]: 
    Touch icons for operation are displayed.
    –When [VIERA Link] is [On]: 
    Touch icons for operation are not displayed.
    •Some playback functions are restricted.•[Playback] menu and [Setup] menu cannot be used.•[Beauty Retouch]/[Artistic Retouch]/[Auto Retouch]/[Image Stamp] cannot be used.•For more details about VIERA Link (HDMI) playback, refer to  P132.
