∫Temporarily storing the lens hood
11Remove the lens hood, turn it 
around then align marker D on 
the lens hood to marker E on 
the adaptor.

Setting Date/Time (Clock Set)
∫Initial setting
The clock is not set when the camera is 
shipped. When you turn the camera on, the 
following screen appears.
 When pressing the [MENU] button, the 
screen shown in step 1 appears.
 The screen disappears in about 
5 seconds. Turn the camera on again or 
select [CLOCK SET] on the [SETUP] 
menu and then set the clock. (P23)

About the Setup Menu
 Set the items if necessary. (Refer to 
P24 – 26 for each menu item.)
1Turn the camera on.
 The menu items depend on the mode 
selected with the mode dial (P30). In 
this page, the items in program AE

POWER SAVE
[1MIN.]/[2MIN.]/[5MIN.]/[10MIN.]:
The power save mode is activated 
(the camera is automatically turned 
off to save the battery life) if the 
camera has not been used for the 
time selected on the setting.
[OFF]:The power save mode is not 
activated.
 Press the shutter button halfway or turn 
the camera off and on to cancel the power

RESET
The settings on the [REC] or the [SETUP] 
menu are reset to the initial settings.
 The setting on [ROTATE DISP.] in the

About the LCD Monitor/Viewfinder
1Switching the LCD monitor/

Press the [EVF/LCD] button to switch the 
monitor screen.

∫Out-of-frame display

 A histogram is a graph that displays  brightness along the horizontal axis (black
