    							Account Codes 3-5
    Account Codes
    SLT stations may enter an account code to identify calls for
    bi ll ing /t r ackin g pur pos es. Th e a ccount code may be ent er e d be for e the
    call or during the call (the outside caller is placed on hold while the
    account code is e ntered if during the ca ll). T he account code is recorde d
    on the SMDR printout. Account codes are not verified and can v ary in
    length from 1-12 digits.
    Verif ied Ac count C ode s/Traveli ng COS
    The Verified Account Code/Traveling Class of Service (COS) feature
    pr ovid es tr ac ki ng of s pec i fi c c al ls by ent er in g a ver i fie d, var ia bl e l en gth
    id ent if ie r (up t o 1 2 di git s). Ea ch account cod e ca n be as si gned a day and
    night Class of Service for determining the dialing privileges allowed by
    tha t account code. T his provides a mea ns for users to overrid e a
    re st ri c t ed st at ion. If t he dia le d ac c oun t c od e m at ch es th e Ve r ifi ed
    Account cod e tab le, an intercom dia l tone is returned, otherwis e an error
    to n e i s re tu r ne d.
    The us e of forced Account C odes is o ptional, offered on a s ystem- wid e
    basis. SMDR must be enabled for the account code to print as part of the
    SMDR record. TheTriad-SSys tem allow s up to 250 12- digit account codes
    for verification purposes.
    Automatic Call / Uniform Call Distribution

    Automatic Line Access

    such as a private line or a line from a Group of C O lines , upon going
    off- hook. T his is usef ul in Cen trex or PBX ap plication s when s ta tion us ers

    Tone ring ing inte rcom ca lls, In itia l Ringing C O calls and trans ferred
    outside line calls to specific stations can be picked up by single line
    te le phone s. For this type of pick up, the stations ne ed not be in the sam e
    pi ck up gr oup.
    Ca l l P i c k -Up G rou p
    Tone ringing intercom calls, transferred outside line calls, and initially
    ri ngi ng c a ll s c a n be pi c ked up by s ing le l ine t el eph ones by dia li ng a
    special pickup code. The telephones must be in the same pickup group.
    Ca m p -On
    A busy station can be notified that an outside line is on hold and waiting
    fo r t hem. The b u sy s ta ti o n i s no ti fi ed o f t hi s b y a bee p to ne . S in gle l ine
    te le phone s can rece iv e a camp on indication or initia te one by using a n
    acces s cod e.
    CO Line Queuing
    Single line telephones can be placed in a queue awaiting the first
    available outside line in a group to become available.

    An SLT user can initiate a conference with an outside line and one other
    internal station. 
    						
    							3-8 Con ference Wit h Personal Park
    Co n fe re n c e W i th Pe rs o n a l Pa r k
    Single Line Telephones (SLT) can initiate a conference between two
    outs id e ( CO) calls . T he Personal Park f eature is used in conjunction with
    the SLT conference cod e to m ake th is poss ib le.
    Direct Outside Line Group Access
    Single line telephones can access outside lines by dialing CO line group
    acces s cod es.
    Direct Outside Line Ringing
    Single line telephones can receive direct outside line ringing. SLTs may
    be progra mme d to rece ive incoming C O Ringing on more than one CO
    line. However, an SLT can answer onlyONEcal l at a t im e. If an S LT is busy
    when a C O call rings in, Cam p-On tone is give n to that SL T s ta tion.
    Do No t Disturb (D ND)
    EachtelephoneusercanplacetheirphoneinDoNotDisturb.Theuser
    receives an error tone if they are not allowed this feature. They also
    receive a stuttered dial tone when lifting the handset to remind them
    theyare inDoNotDisturb.The attendantcanoverride astationinDND.
    Ha nd set Re c ei ver G ai n
    The Handset Receiver Gain feature allows an SLT user, while on a CO/ICM
    call, to Hook-F la sh a nd d ial a code to increase/decrea se the ha ndset
    vol ume.

    Loop Interrupt
    The Loop Interrupt fea ture e nab le s single line telep hone ports to provide
    a loop dis connect s igna l to any d evices conne cte d to a n S LT port. This is
    an inhe re nt ope ra tion, no programming is nece ssa ry.
    †Signal is provided when a CO Line, marked with loop supervision,
    connected to an SLT port rece ive s loop supe rvisio n from the Ce ntral
    O ffice .
    †Upon te rmination of an internal call to an S LT, the SLT provides the
    loop i nte rr upt s igna l.
    †Loop interrup t signal consists of an open for 700 m s with less than
    5mA.

    Na m e In Di s p l ay
    The Name in Display feature allows every extension (electronic/digital/
    SLT) the capability to program the user’s name for that station, so that
    pe ople us ing di spl ay t e le phone s s ee t he name i nst ead of the st at i on
    number on their display. The name is programmed at each station by the
    user and may be up to seven letters in length.

    Off -Ho ok Prefe rence
    SLTsmayaccessaparticularCOLinesuchasaprivatelineoralinefroma

    tone is received just by going off-hook, without the need to dial access
    codes .

    There are two external paging zone available on theTr iad-SSys te m.
    Ext er nal P ag ing re qui re s a t hre e- dig it di al ing c ode . E xte rna l pagi ng
    requires an externally provided amplifier and paging system. Each zone
    can ha ve a relay contact as socia ted to it.
    In t er na l
    The re a re ei ght i nt er nal pag ing zon es ava il abl e in theTriad-SSys te m. A
    station can be in any or all zones or in no zone at all. Stations not assigned
    to a page group can still make page announcements, if allowed in station
    progra mming. S ta tions can b e a ssigned to a pag e g roup in ord er to
    receivepagesbutnotallowedtomakepageannouncements.
    Pe rs o n al Pa rk
    Single line te le phone s ca n be conne cte d to two ca lls ( Intercom or C O
    lines)atthesametimeandtogglebetweenthetwocalls.Thiscanbe
    performedwith originatedor receivedcalls. Thisfeatureisalsousedwith
    the SLT multi-line conference feature.

    An SLT user may program up to 20 speed dial numbers. Each speed dial
    numbe r c an b e u p t o 2 4- di git s in le ngth .
    Sp e e d Di a l - Sy s t e m
    Each SLT use r ca n acce ss syst e m sp ee d di al numbe rs on a pr ogra mmabl e
    basis. The last forty system speed numbers override toll restriction.

    stations COS work in conjunction with a CO line Clas s of Serv ice to allow
    for cus to mized toll res triction. Tw o Allow a nd Deny tables alon g with four
    spe c ia l tab le s a ffor d t he sys te m a dmi nis tr at or to dev is e a va ri et y of
    complex toll restriction or dia ling p rivilege schem es .
    Canned Tol l Res tric ti on
    The sy stem pro vid es an eas y means of a pplying the most commo n form
    of toll restriction where 1+ and 0+ along with 976, 555, and 411 type of
    calls are denied and 1-800, 1-888, 911, 1-911, and 1-611 type of calls are
    allowed. This canned toll restriction is applied through the use of a single
    pre-b uilt Class -of- Se rv ice and can b e ass igne d to s ta tions using range
    pr ogra mmi ng.

    Universal Day/Night Answer (UDA/UNA)
    Incom ing CO line s ca n be programme d f or Univ ersal D ay Ans wer (UD A)
    or Univ ersa l N ight Ans wer (UN A). UDA/UNA a ssigne d C O lines can a ls o
    signal over the external page port(s). External Day ringing is programmed
    on a sys tem-wide ba sis in a dmin progra mming. Stations which do not
    have access to a line during the day can answer that line while the
    System is in the Night Mode by dialing a UNA code. In order to use this
    fea tur e , a LO O P b utt on or an a ppe ara nce of the t runk must be pre se nt on
    the s ta ti o n.
    Vo i c e Ma i l Gro u ps ( V M )
    The Voice Ma il fe ature a utom atically hand le s una nswe re d ca lls. Stations
    may for war d cal ls t o a voi ce m ail gr oup (for l eav ing mai l) or may call t he
    voi ce m ail gr oup dir e ctl y (t o r et r ie ve mai l) wi th no as si st ance fr om t he
    at te ndan t.
    Message Waiting Indication
    Whe n Voi c e M ai l re c ei ves a v oic e mes sag e for a user who h as a st at ion on
    theTr iad-SSystem, the VM connected to the system can leave a message
    indication at the VM users station. When the station retrieves their mail,
    the VM system can cancel the message waiting indication left at a station
    vi a a VM por t .
