1. Stop position - engine short circuited 
(only Scoop).
2. Idle.
3. Full throttle - when the machine is in 
operation, full throttle should always be 
used. Full throttle positioned 1 - 1.5 cm 
from the lower edge of the groove. 
4. Choke - for starting a cold engine. 
Choke positioned at the bottom of the 
groove. 
6. GEAR LEVER 
A lever for selecting one of the three forward gears 
in the gearbox (1 - 2 - 3), neutral (N), or reverse

Always fill the petrol tank outdoors and 
do not smoke while filling. Fill the pet-
rol before starting the engine. Never re-
move the petrol cap or fill with petrol 
while the engine is running and or when 
it is still warm.
CHECK THE OIL LEVEL
The crankcase is filled with SAE 30 oil on deliv-
ery.
Always check the oil level before use. The ma-
chine should be on level ground.
Remove the dipstick B and then dry it. 
Place it fully into the hole again and tight-
en.

MAINTENANCE
No service should be carried out on the 
engine or mower deck unless:
-the engine has been stopped.
-the ignition key has been removed.
-the spark plug cable has been 
removed from the spark plug.
-the parking brake has been engaged.
-the mower deck has been disengaged.
MAINTENANCE TIPS
The machine has been designed so that it can be 
placed on the bumper for maintenance work (fig 
13). 
If the machine is to be stood on its side, 
the petrol and engine oil must first be

damage the engine. 
The cylinder cooling flanges and air inlet should 
be cleared of grass and dirt every 5 hours or every 
day (fig 20 - 21). This is particularly important 
when mowing dry grass. 
The area around the silencer should be cleaned in 
order to prevent fire.
Use compressed air or a brush for cleaning. Do not 
clean the engine with water.
During prolonged mowing of dry grass, the inner 
cooling fins on the engine may require cleaning.

3. Tighten the screws and nuts. 
Replace the blade brake pad when it has be-come 
worn.
BLADE
Make sure the blade is always sharp. This gives the 
best mowing results.
SHARPENING 
For safety reasons the blade must not be sharpened 
on an emery wheel. Incorrect sharpening (= high 
temperature) can result in the blade becoming brit-
tle.
When the blade is due to be sharpened, the wet 
grinding method with a waterstone or grindstone is 
to be used.

 Tenga mucho cuidado al acercarse a obstáculos 
que le dificulten la visibilidad.
