    Deleting F-code boxes
    1Press .
    2Press [Register].
    3Press [F-Code Box].
    4Select the box you want to delete, and press [Delete].
    5If an I.D. code is set, enter the I.D. code using the numeric keys, and press [Enter].
    %If an I.D. code is not set, proceed to the next step.
    6Press [Yes].
    %Press [No] to close the screen without deleting the box.
    %To continue to delete F-code boxes, press [Enter], and repeat the procedure in steps 4 to 7.
    Printing the F-code box list
    1Press .
    2Press [Register].
    3Press [F-Code Box].
    4Press [List].
    5Select [ON] to enable duplex printing, or [OFF] to disable it.
    6Select [ON] to enable combined printing, or [OFF] to disable it.

    %The F-code box list can also be printed from [F-Code Box List] in [List] after pressing .
    5.4.2 Transmitting using sub-addresses (F-code transmission)
    F-code transmission
    Entering sub-addresses and passwords enables secure F-code box transmission and 
    F-code bulletin box transmission to be performed. First check the sub-address and password of the box reg-
    istered in the other machine.
    1Load the document, and press .
    2Press [Advanced].
    3Press [F-Code Tx].
    4Select [ON].
    %Press [OFF] to disable the F-code communication settings. 
    Press [Enter] to complete the procedure.
    5Press the sub-address entry box.
    6Enter the sub-address registered in the other machine using 
    the numeric keys, and press [Enter].
    %Up to 20 digits can be entered for a sub-address.
    %To delete one of the entered characters, press [Clear].
    %To delete all of the entered characters, press [All Clear].
    7If a password is set, press the password entry box.
    %If a password is not set, proceed to step 9.

    8Enter the password using the numeric keys, and press [Enter].
    %Up to 20 digits can be entered for a password. Numerals, 
    # and * can be entered.
    9Press [Enter].
    %Press [F-Code Tx] again to return to the screen in step 4, where you can correct the sub-address 
    and/or password if entered incorrectly.
    10Press [Close].
    11Specify the destination, and press .

    F-code polling
    Enter the sub-address and password to retrieve (polling) the documents stored in another machines bulletin 
    box. First check the sub-address and password of the bulletin box in the other machine.
    1Press .
    2Press [Advanced].
    3Press [F-Polling].
    4Select [ON].
    %Press [OFF] to disable the F-code polling setting. If you se-
    lected [OFF], press [Enter] and proceed to step 8.
    5Press the sub-address entry box.

    6Enter the sub-address registered in the other machine using 
    the numeric keys, and press [Enter].
    %Up to 20 digits can be entered for a sub-address.

    %If a password is not set, proceed to step 9.

    5.4.3 Storing documents in a bulletin box
    You can store documents in bulletin boxes set with an F-code. The following storage methods are available.

    Up to 30 documents can be stored in each box.
    The F-code bulletin box must be registered in advance. For details, refer to page 5-20.
    Storing documents
    1Load the document, and press .
    2Press [Advanced].
    3Press [F-Code Doc.].
    4Press [Store].
    5Select the F-code box in which you want to store the docu-
    ment. Item Description
    Overwrite Overwrites documents in the box.
    Add Adds to the documents in the box.

    6If an I.D. code is set, enter the I.D. code using the numeric 
    keys, and press [Enter].
    %If it is not set, proceed to step 7.
    7Select the storage method for the document.
    8Press [Yes].
    %Press [No] to close the screen without storing the document.

    Printing stored documents
    Print out security reception documents, documents received in the bulletin boxes and documents stored in 
    the bulletin boxes.
    If documents have been received in the F-code boxes, F-code reception information will be printed out. 
    Check the box number listed and print out the stored documents.
    1Press .
    2Press [Advanced].
    3Press [F-Code Doc.].
    4Press [Print].
    5Select the F-code box in which the documents you want to 
    print are stored.
    6If an I.D. code is set, enter the I.D. code using the numeric 
    keys, and press [Enter].
    %If a password is not set, proceed to the next step.
    7Select the file.
    %Press [All stored documents] to print all the documents 
    stored in the F-code box.
    %This step is not required for a secure box.

    %Security reception documents are automatically deleted after being printed.
    Deleting stored documents

    5Select the F-code box in which the documents you want to 
    delete are stored.
    6If an I.D. code is set, enter the I.D. code using the numeric 
    keys, and press [Enter].
    %If a password is not set, proceed to the next step.
    7Select the file.
    %Press [All stored documents.] to delete all the documents 
    stored in the F-code box.

    5.5 Security functions
    5.5.1 Restricting fax destinations (Closed transmission)
    When closed transmission is set, fax messages can only be transmitted to machines that are the same as 
    this product. If a passcode is set, faxes can only be transmitted to machines that are the same product that 
    also have a security function and have the same passcode registered.

    For details on passcodes, refer to Chapter 3, Closed Communication in the Users Guide Administrator Op-
    erations.
    You can also set to always enable closed transmission. For details, refer to Chapter 3, Closed Communica-
    tion in the Users Guide Administrator Operations.
    When using manual transmission (transmission using a handset of an external phone or the [Monitor] func-
    tion), the closed transmission function is disabled, even if you set it to ON.
    1Load the document, and press .
    2Press [Advanced].
    3Press [Closed Tx.].
    4Select [ON], and press [Enter].
    %If you select [OFF], the closed transmission setting is dis-
    abled.
    5Press [Close].
    6Specify the destination, and press .
