As an example, the following procedure describes how to make copies onto 
non-standard-sized paper (250 mm e 180 mm) loaded into the manual 
bypass tray or the multi bypass tray.

Note 
When loading non-standard-sized documents and paper, be sure to first 
measure their sizes.
The document scales at the edges of the original glass are useful for 
measuring documents and paper.
1Position the document to be copied.
– Refer to Loading the document on page 4-18.

2Adjust the paper guides in the bypass tray, and then load the paper into 
the tray.
– Load the paper so that the side to be printed on faces down.
– Load the paper into the manual bypass tray one sheet at a time.
– A maximum of 100 sheets of paper can be loaded into the multi 
bypass tray. Do not load so much paper into the multi bypass tray 
that the top of the stack is higher than the , mark.
The BYPASS PAPER SETTING menu appears.
3Press the [+] or [,] key until SIZE is selected, and then press the [OK] 
key.

6Use the keypad to type in 180 for the width (Y), and then press the 
[OK] key.
– The paper width (Y) can be set between 90 mm and 297 mm.
The BYPASS PAPER SETTING menu appears again.
7Check that MEDIA: PLAIN appears in the third line of the screen.
– If any paper type setting other than that for plain paper is selected, 
select MEDIA, and then select PLAIN.
8Press the [+] or [,] key until RETURN is selected, and then press the 
[OK] key.
The main screen appears.

As an example, the following procedure describes how to make copies onto 
200 mm e 150 mm envelopes loaded into the manual bypass tray or the multi 
bypass tray.

Note 
When loading non-standard-sized documents and paper, be sure to first 
measure their sizes.
The document scales at the edges of the original glass are useful for 
measuring documents and paper.
1Position the document to be copied.
– Refer to Loading the document on page 4-18.
2Adjust the paper guides in the bypass tray, and then load the 
envelopes into the tray.
– Load the envelopes with the flap facing up so that the surface to be 
printed on faces down, as shown in the illustration.
– Before loading envelopes, press them down to make sure that all 
air is removed, and make sure that the folds of the flaps are firmly 
pressed.
– Load envelopes into the manual bypass tray one at a time.
