1Press the [Utility] key.
The UTILITY MODE menu appears.
2Press the [+] or [,] key until MACHINE SETTING is selected, and 
then press the [OK] key.
3Press the [+] or [,] key until the desired MACHINE SETTING parameter 
is selected.
– The following MACHINE SETTING parameters are available.

1Display the MACHINE SETTING menu.

2Press the [+] or [,] key until AUTO PANEL RESET is selected, and 
then press the [OK] key.
3Press the [+] or [,] key until OFF, 30sec, 1min, 2min, 3min, 
4min or 5min is selected, and then press the [OK] key.

1Display the MACHINE SETTING menu.
– Refer to Displaying the MACHINE SETTING menu on page 7-7.
2Press the [+] or [,] key until ENERGY SAVE MODE is selected, and 
then press the [OK] key.
3Use the keypad to type in the length of time until the machine enters 
Power Save mode, and then press the [OK] key.
– The time can be set between 1 and 240 minutes.

parameter)
Select whether or not to turn off the auto shut-off feature. If it is turned on, 
specify the length of time until the auto shut-off operation is performed.

Note 
If the machine is turned off with the auto shut-off operation, copies/print-
outs cannot be printed. To print copies/printouts, turn on the machine.
The auto shut-off feature cannot be turned off if the AUTO SHUT OFF 
parameter in the ADMIN. MANAGEMENT menu is set to DISABLE. In 
order to turn off the auto shut-off feature, the AUTO SHUT OFF 
parameter in the ADMIN. MANAGEMENT menu must first be set to 
ENABLE. For details, refer toEnabling the AUTO SHUT OFF 
parameter to be set to OFF (AUTO SHUT OFF parameter) on 
page 7-43.
1Display the MACHINE SETTING menu.

2Press the [+] or [,] key until AUTO SHUT OFF is selected, and then 
press the [OK] key.

– If OFF was selected, press the [OK] key.
– If ON was selected, use the keypad to type in the length of time 
until the auto shut-off operation is performed, and then press the 
[OK] key.
– The time can be set between 15 and 240 minutes.
– To correct the entered number, press the [Clear/Stop] key, and then 
type in the correct number.
– If the AUTO SHUT OFF parameter in the ADMIN. 
MANAGEMENT menu is set to DISABLE, specify only the length 
of time until the auto shut-off operation is performed.
The MACHINE SETTING menu appears again.
