    4.Enableordisablethefollowingalerttypes:
    •iLOSNMPAlerts—AlertconditionsthatiLOdetectsindependentlyofthehostoperating
    systemcanbesenttospecifiedSNMPalertdestinations,suchasHPSIM.Ifthisoption
    isdisabled,notrapswillbesenttotheconfiguredSNMPalertdestinations.
    •ForwardInsightManagerAgentSNMPAlerts—Alertconditionsdetectedbythehost
    managementagentscanbeforwardedtoSNMPalertdestinationsthroughiLO.These
    alertsaregeneratedbytheInsightManagementAgents,whichareavailableforeach
    supportedoperatingsystem.InsightManagementAgentsmustbeinstalledonthehost
    servertoreceivethesealerts.
    •ColdStartTrapBroadcast—Whenthisoptionisenabled,ColdStartTrapisbroadcastto
    asubnetbroadcastaddressifnovalidtrapdestinationsareconfigured.
    TheColdStartTrapisbroadcastwhenanyofthefollowingconditionsismet:
    ◦SNMPAlertDestinationsarenotconfigured.
    ◦iLOfailedtoresolvealloftheSNMPAlertDestinationstoIPaddresses.
    ThesubnetbroadcastaddressforanIPv4hostisobtainedbyperformingabitwiselogical
    ORoperationbetweenthebitcomplementofthesubnetmaskandthehostIPaddress.
    Forexample,thehost192.168.1.1,whichhasthesubnetmask255.255.252.0,has
    thebroadcastaddress192.168.1.1 | 0.0.3.255 = 192.168.3.255.
    •SNMPv1Traps—Whenenabled,SNMPv1trapsaresenttotheremotemanagement
    systemsconfiguredintheSNMPAlertDestination(s)boxes.
    5.Optional:ClickSendTestAlerttogenerateatestalertandsendittotheTCP/IPaddressesin
    theSNMPAlertDestination(s)boxes.
